Service dept has the worst customer service I've ever had in my life. Took them 2.5 weeks to fix my brand new car, should've taken less than half a day, since I told them what was wrong and how to fix it when I took it in. They wouldn't listen and refused to fix it for 2.5 weeks (and it was under warranty!) Over the 2.5 weeks I had to continually ask for updates because none were given, horrible communication. I'm a single mom with kids who bought a new car for dependability. But for 2.5 weeks my Brand NEW Tahoe was at paso chevy and they would NOT provide a loaner car. Here's what happened. I have a brand new Tahoe that had a well known problem error message/annoying dinging "Service safety restraint system" that kept dinging and popping up every five seconds when driven. Soooo annoying!! esp in a brand new car. Google told me what it was and how to fix in a 5 second google search. You can try it yourself if you Google "2021 Tahoe service safety restraint system." Per Google the wiring under the driver seat doesn't keep a steady connection at the plug when driven so it generates an error message constantly. So I took it to Paso Chevy service dept and unfortunately got Roy as a service adviser. I told Roy the vehicle problem and how to fix. But Roy told me I was wrong and wouldn't fix the car. Made me pick up the car the next day. It immediately kept doing the error message so I took it right back, Roy rode in the car with me and he saw the message go off 25 times in 5 minutes. Roy took the car again for five days, and again did nothing and asked me to pick it up the next week, telling me they couldn't find anything. I did and it kept dinging again leaving the dealership so I took it straight back again. I asked to speak to the service manager, Nate, waited half an hour for him but he never would come out to talk to me. I called Nate repeatedly and finally talked to him, and he assured me they would take care of it. The next week Roy again said they couldn't find anything wrong and wanted me to pick it up. I kept telling them to look at Google but they refused to replace the wiring. I then flat out refused to pick it up until it was fixed. 2.5 weeks after this started guess what!!! they FINALLY replaced the under seat wiring and the problem has never happened again. But No apology, nothing. They wouldn't even face me when I picked it up, they asked me to come get it after the service dept closed and left my key with the sales dept. lol!!! Wow. Totally inept, unprofessional, deer in the headlights employees who don't know anything about cars, customer service, or kindness. If a soccer mom can figure out the vehicle problem on Google why are these guys so helpless??? next time I'm going to SLO!!! read more

First of all valuable lesson learned DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM THIS DEALER! They do not repair or service them except to rotate. I went in today for an oil change which took way longer than they said. When it was ready I was told they couldn't rotate my tires because my lug nuts were cracked and needed to be replaced but they didn't have them in stock. They were happy to order them and charge $180 to install them. It's a safety issue they told me. So of course I went to where I got my tire repaired and was told that 3 lug nuts are a bit wobbly and could strip but no cracks. Also it's not a safety issue and if we are worried they could replace for $45. I will never go back to this dealership for service or anything else. read more

I've been taking my car in for service for +5 years already. Since I felt more comfortable servicing my car at the same place I purchased but Recently I took my car in for a chain issue. I had to take it back In a second time for the same issue because it didn't get fixed right the first time. They never call me to give me updates on my car , I'm always the one having to call to ask what's going on. They say they will call back and never do . I've been without a car for a month now and it's been getting really difficult for me to commute to my job . Don't take your cars for service here ! You will thank me later ! This is by far the worse service and incompetent people working there. (Roy) I dropped of my vehicle for services and had a leak in the gear box. The part was ordered and was given three different dates when part would arrive. Every time I call for an update they never know the status. They tell me they will call me back and never do. Bad customer service. Grey in service department does not respond or cares about customer service. The lady operator, don't know her name but she worked on April 2nd, 2024 Tuesday afternoon between 11-1pm was very rude and answered the phone with her response "YEAH" with an attitude. When you answer a phone call especially when you working for a business, you answer in a nice professional way like, good morning or afternoon paso robles chevrolet, how can I help you today. I didn't get that professionalism. I was so upset with that. So I reached out to Santos in sales and he was very Friendly and responded fast and had his manager Joe call me about the service and the operator's bad customer service skills. The manager Joe responded in just 20 to 30 minutes and was understanding and said he will reach out to me when the service representative will get to my vehicle situation with paso robles chevrolet. Hopefully the sales manager Joe will get back to me today or the next day to communicate with me. Overall my experience there was horrible and hopefully they can correct that. read more

The new service department personnel is really slipping. Help Nate! I have a 2:00 appointment for a simple oil change. I scheduled my work day and an important appointment around the promise of one hour to be in and out. I arrived on time and I've been sitting here for over an hour and then I noticed my car had NOT been taken into the garage to be worked on yet. Service Dept not very helpful. I took my truck for a smog and it failed, service dept would/ could not tell me exactly why it failed or what I can do to repair the problem or problems. I pressed for more information on the issue and no help was provided. They simply told me "we don't do that work here". I understand you may not do the work, but what is the work you won't do?!! I guess we won't be servicing our trucks here anymore, very frustrating. I will be finding a new shop that help with these repairs. read more

Had a pretty shady experience. Looking for a used vehicle for my daughter. Found a great little truck on the lot. Window sticker said one price, we made an offer that was only a couple thousand lower than the window sticker, got the typical "oh I gotta talk to my manager". Salesman returns saying they put the wrong window sticker on this car. The car you're looking at is actually $10k more. No offer to even match the widow sticker price, just a nope we can't sell it to you for what it says. Mistakes happen, but this all seems a little too convenient, a little too much bait and switch. It's too bad cause we're also in the market for a new full sized truck, and I'd prefer to support a local business. But after this I'm not going to my local Chevy dealer. read more

I have always been happy with this business until last week. I dropped my car off and went into the Service Dept where 2 of the staff were not wearing a mask. When I asked the Manger Nate why not - his response was "we want you to be comfortable". "Ok then put a mask on was my reply." He then said "he has had Covid " - I then pointed to the unmasked employee Grey and asked if he had had Covid also and he replied "yes. I didn't feel like that was the truth. I have since spoken with the GM who said they had not had Covid I spent 25 minutes on the phone with the GM on the mask situation. He talked around the issue, lectured me that I have no idea how sensitive he is to the subject and left me with the feeling that he was not going to do anything about it. Totally unacceptable behavior by a manager with a customer. I could NOT have been less satisfied with his response. Avoid this place!! Covid central. No one in the service department or at dealership wears a mask. Some have masks on their chins, chin diapers. I had to ride twice in the service shuttle with an employee that refused to wear a mask. YOUR SAFETY IS NOT SAFE HERE FOR YOU OR YOUR KIDS. read more

We brought in a work truck for a normal in warranty checkup. Got it back and the camera doesn't work & the dashboard lights & screen won't come on. Took the personal truck in because the alignment seemed off. Got it back, it drove fine for a day, then the A/C went out. I don't think these guys know what they're doing! This is my second car I have taken here. Brought in my Volt for a recall. They did the recall and checked tire pressure and rotated tires. Also did a 27 point check. I had a rattle I thought in the dash. Mike the mechanic took a ride with me and found the rattle right away in the unit just above the rear view mirror. He was a very pleasant person and fixed it right away. This is the way all dealerships should be. Very honest and they do a great job. read more

Bought a new Duramax 1500 Silverado from Adam today. Got to say it was by far the best car buying experience we've ever had and we've bought a few cars in our days lol. The covid has changed times but Adam made us feel as we were family and didn't push us to buy... actually said "test drive the truck see if it's a good fit for you" amazing and when he found out we were very interested he didn't try to act like if we didn't jump on the offer we would lose out. The deal went smooth and we didn't feel any stress Adam was amazin things went quickly hassle free. The finance guy was also great. I totally recommend going here to get a car... used our new as they are excellent in services and obviously appreciate their customers. So yesterday was easily one of the worst I'd had in a while. My car is acting up, dying in intersections, engine light and other lights popping on... When I called to make an appointment the gal that answered was so kind and sympathetic! She assured me that I could get my car in right after I got off work. When I arrived at the dealership, Nate was also very sympathetic and ensured me he would get me a rental car, since they had to order the parts for my misbehaving car. The rental people picked me up, and when we got to the office to do paperwork.... lo and behold, my husband has my driver's license, and he's in Mexico!! Can't rent a car without a physical license!! Bought a car from Paso Robles Chevy in 2013. In getting a loan, the first loan was denied based on wrong information given from Chevy. When approved for the loan the second time, we signed the papers. I was called back in 3 times to resign the papers. He messed up with typos, mismatched dates, and even the wrong date year. I have taken the car in for recalls 3 times, and every time service takes 2-4 hours to complete. The last time was a power steering recall, when recall was complete the headlights and windshield wipers did not work. This stranded my wife out of town. I own a 2012 Chevy Malibu and recently brought my car in for a recall notice and oil change. I've been here a couple times for oil changes on my car and I will continue to be a loyal customer with their service department! Not only was the staff EXTREMELY knowledgeable there, but helpful as well. I let them know i was on a time restraint to pick up my children, and they got me in and out in 45 mins! They had to order parts for my recall notice and let me know they would be calling me in 3-5 days. Then they walked me to the cashier so i could pay for my oil change and then walked me to the door and opened it. As a Gen Y consumer i think good old fashioned customer service can be lost on us. People assume we are just always on our phones and so it was really nice to experience a friendly staff, them making recommendations, but not trying too hard to push it on me and their consideration. That is usually why i stop going to a particular place is when i feel like i am being pushed too much for a sale. Took my 2015 Chevy Duramax to be diagnosed because of check engine light. I figured the problem had to be related to the DEF system again. Grey Stevens tried to upsell other issues with truck. I usually get fluids changed with Lube N Go/ Joe Simonin. I called Lube N Go to determine if my transmission needed to be change. I decided against my better judgement to let Paso Chevrolet change my transmission fluid. Charged my over $330 to replace the fluid which takes 30 minutes at Lube N Go. Did not quote me a price ahead of time. Smug mfer tried to wish me "Have a nice Day". I told him to FO. Never will I take my vehicle to these idiots again. If you have a GM product, go see Mark Borjon/ Borjon GMC in Paso. Stay away from these ripoff artists. Joe Simonin/ Lube N Go are great community supporters too. read more

A big shout out to Paso Chevy and in particular to 2 of their sales reps, Adam and Timbo. These two were terrific to deal with! They were in regular communication, applied absolutely NO pressure and were honest and very easy to buy from. I was looking to get a new Colorado however, due to Timbo and Adam's easy going manners and fair negotiating, not only did I get the Colorado but my girlfriend drove off in a new Cruze the same evening, which was totally unplanned. I can say with 100% honesty, if it were not for our pleasant experiences with Adam and Timbo, my girlfriend would not have purchased her Cruze and I would still be shopping around for my Colorado. Do yourself a favor if you're looking to buy a new or used car and drop by Paso Chevy and speak with Timbo or Adam. I brought it in to get service and after describing the problem, the service guy refused to even look at the vehicle! He just said that they really didn't want to work on it. No suggestion on where to take it - no help whatsoever. I couldn't believe it! I took it to their competitor, described the problem, and they had it fixed the same day. My son had his car stolen police found it and had it towed here they called him at work three days later and he asked me to go look at the car but they would not let us look at the car or would not try the key we had in the ignition they could have told the truth and said you won't need a key the thief busted thank ignition, wtf we explained that we were the parents of the stolen car victim. With the same name and he was at work , three days and five mile tow several hundred dollars, we will not be buying anything here wanted a Silverado but going to get a Dodge instead. read more

This good experience is related to the oil change on my '10 Escalade. I had to make an appointment rather than just drive in like the "quick" lube places. The oil change was performed as scheduled and on time. The technicians performing the oil and filter change knew what they were doing and I felt comfortable with their work AND it cost what they said it would with no add ons like the local "quick" lube place likes to do.
