I was looking for a truck and went to most surrounding dealerships. Found nothing that really caught my eye and sub par customer service. All until I turned into Paso Chevy, I was immediately greeted by Adam and he just wanted to know what I was looking for. We chatted and he had a few trucks he thought i might be interested in. So I test drove one and upon returning to the lot I was somewhat torn. He encouraged me to drive as many as I wanted to get a feel for what fit my needs and what I wanted. I was very happy with the down home, friendly feel the whole staff displayed. No pressure, no rush, take your time and decide what's best for you and we will make it happen. I had a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier with a Coolant Problem. I took it to Pete Johnston Chevrolet to get Fixed. They told Me it was Fixed so I Drove it Home on Jolon Road and I Notice the Temperature Gage going above Normal Temperature. So I took it back and told them it's going Past the Normal Temperature Range. I left it there for another 2 Days.When I was Driving Home the Temperature went Past the Normal Range again. This time it got so Hot that the Head Gasket went out.My Car was Ruined by them, and I still had to Pay them.It just doesn't seem right to Me.Because of them I went to the K.I.A. I give Paso Robles Chevrolet one star only because the service personnel are very pleasant and friendly. Other than that they don't seem to know what they are doing. I took a 2015 Chevy Volt in to solve a problem with the programmed charging. After 2 1/2 days of them having the car and no solution, I am going to take it elsewhere. When I picked it up today they basically said that GM had referred them to a technical document. A copy of the document they gave me was basically a print out of what was in the users manual for setting up the deferred charging. All in all it was a very frustrating experience and left me with no confidence in the dealership or the repair people who work there. Fortunately the car is on lease and I won't be buying it at the end of the lease nor any other Chevy, or GM, product. read more

He is patient not pushy and has a great car side manner. I went into the dealership to trade in my car and I went to look at the Nissan rogue and decided I didn't like it. I finally decided to test drive a 2011 GMC terrain. I tried not to get to excited but that is my dream car ever since I saw them!!! LOST WEDDING BAND found by BEST staff EVER! This review is for the AMAZING service staff at Paso Chevrolet and mostly Peter Hoffman the service manager! My husband and I were on our honeymoon from Colorado. We rented a Camaro and hit the road. On our way through California I lost my wedding ring in the dash of the car!!! It was horrifying. We drove to the dealership not expecting them to be able to do much to help us. Mr. Hoffman came out and said he would take it back and see what he and his team could do to find it. About 1 hour later he came back with a penny and a nickel in his hand, my heart sank and more tears came to my eyes. And then he pulled out my band! He said they took the dash and console apart and found it under the center console basically where the transmission meets the floor board! He said we did not owe anything that we could consider it a wedding gift. I was humbled by the kindness and still can't believe I got my ring back. Brought in my 2019 Silverado for its scheduled maintenance on Friday morning. They did all services due. On Saturday morning, the truck won't start!! Roadside service attempted to jump start it, but no go, so had to have it towed it to dealership on Saturday morning. I can't believe after being in for a Full service less than 24 hours prior, that now the truck won't start. I called Paso Chevy, and spoke to Mario, to let him know truck was on the way with towing service. I explained how frustrated I was, as it meant I was missing an event I had been entered in for months. Mario assured me he would pass on my concerns to general manager, Lars. Well, Monday arrives, not a peep from Lars. The guy in the service department calls me to let me know the vehicle needs a new battery. How did they not catch this on Friday?????? The vehicle has 51,000 miles (and has already had at least 4 recalls, but that is a whole other topic). I ask to speak to Nate, or Lars, but they are unable to come to phone. Horrible customer service, and I am absolutely disappointed that there was so little follow up. Do not recommend this dealership. read more

A mouse got in our system and the remains needed to be cleaned out. The team cleaned, sanitized and installed a new filter for a very low price. Thinking about shopping here??? Plan to be there a while and Pray you never need honest service. Unless you just need an oil change. (That is separate and thier customer service is great) But the full service dept. Absolutely the worst customer service possible. Repeatedly rude and preoccupied. Asked for a diagnosis and came back with 1200 in repairs and battery replacement. After 6 hours, and missing an important meeting, Paid them 260 for the previously $60 quoted diagnostic and took to another dealer for a second opinion. Dealer in slo did a diagnostic looked over quoted repairs (nothing else wrong) replaced the battery and only charged me for the battery. Less then $100 and less then an hour. Out the door. They Repeatedly Apologized on behalf of chevy, ensured us that this was very uncommon. Tjo apparantly I am not the only one, with bad experiences with paso chevy. I was not even the only one at the counter at that moment. Another guy here waited 2 months before finally getting it towed to another dealer. They said a lot of people have been coming in there, due to such treatment. Dont take a chance With this place. I surely never will again. Not all was lost tho, I did meet a new friend. ;) read more

I had my vehicle towed to Paso Robles Chevrolet because it had water in the oil. Their diagnosis...they checked the oil and determined that it needed a new motor to the cost of $5000-$6000. I asked them to at least check a little further and replace the intake manifold gaskets. They were hesitant but agreed until, I was told, the service manager "red flagged" it saying that it was too much to spend with the possibility of the motor being bad. I then suggested that they change the oil and filter and start it up then they would know, if in fact, the motor was bad or not. They changed the oil and filter and said they couldn't get it running. At this point it was obvious that they just didn't want to work on it so I told them I would have it towed from there because after 2 weeks all they managed to accomplish was to change the oil and filter. I had it towed to my house and after working on it for about 15 minutes I got it running. It runs fine...good oil pressure and no abnormal engine noises. I called another repair shop in town and they agreed that it was a good possibility that it was the intake manifold gasket leaking and gave me an estimate a lot less than Paso Robles Chevrolet. They're doing the repair now. read more

Let's talk about the repair side of this place.... perhaps people are good here my experiences have not shown that. I went to get my car fixed for an engine light and weird sound.... had 3 oil leaks and 2 coolant leaks.? Uh what. They told me it would take about 4 -5 hours and it took 8 before I called to ask what was going on here since I took the day off work to get this work done ( they didn't call me to update ) come to find out they needed another day and didn't tell me so I was standing outside enterprise right before they closed trying to get into a rental! I go again because I see leaking oil under my car .once everything is supposedly fixed ..according to them the car has "another very different oil leak" .... we are now at 4 oil leaks and 2 coolant .. da fuq.. I leave my car Friday at 3 pm and I get a call on Wednesday about a catalytic converter that's going to cost me 800 bucks? I asked so what about the oil leak did you fix it? And they say they didn't know of an oil leak . When I specifically told them 3 times there is an oil leak and it needs to be fixed. The next day. (7 days my car has been in their shop) they call to say they need to take off a tire to fix the leak and they can't find my key so they can't do anything. Imagine my reaction when I find out they waited 7 days to tell me this as I've been borrowing cars trying to get to my three jobs and school?????????!! The did not offer a rental. They give me attitude when I am justifyiably upset at their time management and poor service. They tell me they can't find my key over and over and that they will OFFER to drive my car (waste my gas) take it to big brand and get me a new key ( that I will be charged for). I say fine. Whatever. Please just get it done already. They tell me ! They didn't charge me for the wheel lock key after my boyfriend calls them to ask what in the world is going on with my car (aw so kind. Not). When I pick up my car they tell me again... we didn't charge you for the lock here it is (as if they did some miraculous thing). I knew rick was full of crap so I called the big brands and my good would you guess no one from chevy came for that piece that day. They LIED they found my key where I said it would be and too prideful to admit it and then told me they wouldn't charge me for the "new" one. My goodness they were going to charge me for my own lock key?? I'm going to file a complaint with BAR since they would lie about this I am now concerned there has been lies concerning my 6 leaks in 2 months. Which seems unlikely for any car let alone a 2014. Alternator out/ battery out/ catalytic converter needs replacing/ four oil leaks/e coolant leaks/ 2 valve replacements. Don't buy chevy. read more

We needed to buy another vehicle rather quickly as we were headed out of town and wanted to get it done. Searched online and found one at Paso Chevy. Met Bud, he was great!! I've bought a lot of cars over the years and dealt with A LOT of car sales people. He was by far the best. Answered all of my questions and didn't try to jerk me around or make me feel like the car I was interested in (2015 Jeep Renegade) was too much for a female. Decided to go in the next day after work and buy the car. Bud was gone for the day by the time I got there but Shannon was great! They did end up texting Bud to let him know I was there and he showed up! I was pretty shocked. The whole crew there was awesome. It was the fastest I have ever been in and out of a dealership (total time was just shy of 2 hours) Bud even took the car and put a full tank of gas in it. Oh yeah they were wonderful selling us our malibu. It was the service after that sucked. This car has gone thru three key remote things. I took it in for a repair it took 2 days - cost $1600.00 dollars and they didn't even wash the darn thing. At the very least the could have cleaned the windows. I am selling the car so I never have to deal with these people again. I have always been a Chevy gal even though the rest of my family drove Fords. My daughter and I both bought used cars the same day from Paso Robles Chevy; hers was "certified," mine was a Honda, so it was not. I'm lovin' my Civic, but not the dealership. First: The used car window sticker clearly stated it had alloy wheels. I didn't look closely or touch 'em (my bad). When we made the deal, the sticker disappeared instead of being placed in the glove box - per protocol - before they delivered the freshly washed vehicle, and when I got home and proceeded to go over the car with a fine-tooth comb (which, admittedly, I should've done prior to buying), I realized it had plastic wheelcovers (the bolt-on kind; even I would've noticed if the lug nuts weren't visible.) Second, I realized two days after buying the car that the tires were mismatched. Three of one type, one of another - and the oddball was on the front. While negotiating the sale, I was told that "all" service could be done at the dealership,, which was important to me since going to SLO for hours while having my car serviced isn't one of my favorite things - although their service department could not be nicer or more knowledgeable. PRC is just down the street from my home. I needed something checked/repaired; took it in, was told as soon as they had a loaner I'd be called and could bring it in. GREAT! Waited a couple of weeks, never heard from them, so I called THEM, only to be told the work could not be done there - had to go to SLO to the Honda dealer - because it's still under manufacturer's warranty. Cannot figure out for the life of me WHY I wasn't told that in the beginning - including before I bought the vehicle, instead of being assured that ALL work could be done by PRC. My salesman was very nice; kept telling me if I had any problems to call him, which I did, but he only kept telling me to call if there were any problems; the sales manager emailed me and wanted to see if something could be worked out. When I told him what I thought should be done - get me the alloy wheels and another tire to match the other three - I never heard from him again. Nothing was ever offered to "make right" what I consider fraud regarding the alloy wheels. And if I'd known they couldn't do the warranty service, I would simply have bought from Honda in the first place. I won't be doing business with them again. After having a bad experience a year ago with the service department, I would only go to the Quick Lube for oil changes. Today they have gotten my business back due to great employees in the Quick Lube. Michelle is amazing! She has taken great care of me and did all she could to make sure I was taken care of. I didn't have to go to the service dept, she took care of me through the Quick Lube center. It was a flawless process to get my car in the shop and get it fixed. Being in hospitality I am very big on customer service, and she is top notch! Thank you Michelle! On top of that Leroy has given me rides back and forth to make the process even better.
