DO NOT BOOK from this company. They are not interested in fixing any mishap that occurs during your stay in a professional manner. Nor do they right their wrongs. Upon arriving to the rental after a long day of travel, we were stunned to find luggage belonging to OTHER people in our reserved rental. It was highly concerning how these other people were able to access the rental in the first place given the code for entry is based on the last four of your cell phone number. When I finally got a hold of a representative and explained what we observed, the representative had the audacity to nonchalantly tell me to move the other uncontracted patrons' belongings into the living room so that when they returned from a concert at God knows what time that night, they can just come into our rental to get their stuff. I'm sorry but WHAT? You want me to allow strangers into my rental I paid for? They clearly did not care for our discomfort or safety to even suggest this. I had to insist the rental company send their own people to clean out these patrons' belongings and take photos to prevent any liability on my part. That same night, after they claimed no other code could access the house, I immediately told them I wanted a full refund for the first night stay. The representative said the owners will call me on Monday morning to discuss. That phone call never came. AFTER I filled out their survey, I got an email saying they were refunding $100 and a $200 credit towards a future stay. I emailed back immediately and stated I had already asked for a full refund and in light of everything we endured, that is what is appropriate. My email was ignored for a whole day. It wasn't until my friends started leaving reviews detailing the FACTS of what happened that the rental company then emailed me back stating they removed the offer of the future discount based on our feedback and that they are no longer going to consider additional refund. Unprofessional - you speak the truth and they hold that against you and don't do what is right. I am leaving a screenshot of that email on my review for EVERYBODY to see. They cannot claim that as of yesterday was when I first asked for the full refund for the first night - I asked for it the first night we were trying to check in! It's been days. First I would like say, the property we stayed in, itself, was beautiful and centrally located. That being said, I will NEVER use this company again. My girlfriends and I drove more than five hours for our weekend getaway. When we arrived at our property around 5:30 pm we discovered someone else's belongings in our cottage. And I'm not talking about just their suitcases in the living room. Their food was in the refrigerator, toiletries in the bathroom, belongings in the bedrooms and dining room and THANK GOD no one was in the house. This was completely shocking as the entry code to the house was supposed to be the last four digits of my friend's phone number. My friend who booked the cottage tried to call the host and no answer. After 15+ minutes, she got ahold of the vacation rental manager. This person eventually figured out that the people whose things were in our cottage actually belonged in the cottage next door. How did they get in? The vacation rental company sends the codes out to these electronic locks. So they used THEIR code to enter OUR cottage. Safety much? And if that was not enough, the vacation rental manager contacted the renters who advised they were at a concert until late that evening. The rental agency had the audacity to say it was okay for us to just move all their belongings to the living room so these strangers could come back into the house, at whatever time, to retrieve their belongings! Absolutely NO! After much back and forth until nearly 7pm, the vacation rental manager decided they would come to the house themselves and move the belongings to the correct cottage. They then, allegedly, wiped all codes from the keypad and changed the code to only to my friend's phone number. You would think the host or the vacation rental agency would want to make this right by refunding at least the first night's fee. Nope! Here's a $100 refund. Newsflash, not only does that not cover the first nights cost, that doesn't cover the cost of the dinner we had to leave and purchase out when we brought food to cook in our cottage. They also gave a $200 credit to a future rental that will never be used. Beware if you still choose use this company. There's a lot I can overlook but safety is not one of them. read more

I was all set to give this company a positive review. The house we rented was beautiful, clean, and in a great location. We were delighted- until the owner dropped by unannounced on the second day of our stay. It was startling, invasive, and bizarre. It felt like she was checking up on us to make sure we were being good guests, which I do not appreciate. I called Paso Robles Vacation Rentals to express my discomfort with this. After conferring with the owner, they apologized, but there was no resolution. They just told me the lady was "a good owner" and seemed like a sweet person who just wanted to make sure an exterior construction project wasn't impacting our stay. Okay, sure-- except she didn't actually ask us if the construction project was impacting us. Frankly, there's no reason she couldn't have checked on the construction before we checked in. There's no reason she had to walk through the entire house to see the exterior. This incident was such a weird invasion of privacy and really put a damper on our stay. We will not be using this vacation rental service again, as it's clear they don't set any boundaries with their property owners. read more

After having a long day of travel with food that we had packed arriving at our rental we go in and there is other people's belongings in the house, the company was notified of this, they called the people that the stuff belonged to and they said we can move there items to the living room and they would get it after the show they were at, who does that? who wants people they don't even know to come in when we are asleep. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the property. The property itself was beautiful and well-maintained, and the grounds were also very well-maintained. The kitchen, bathrooms, and entire house was stocked very well and everything we needed for our stay was there. It was the perfect set up for our two families. Paso Robles Vacation Rentals was excellent as the property manager. We spoke with them on Friday evening when we came back from dinner around 7PM and the electricity was out. A nearby car accident had knocked down a power line! We also didn't have water because the property is on an electric well. Cindy was super helpful in getting us access to the emergency flashlights and water bottles in the locked closet in the hallway. Marcel was also super helpful the next morning, which was Saturday. This company is trash. We stayed at the Buena Vista Farm September 2-4th and the house was completely DIRTY & UNHYGIENIC. They did not care about our unfortunate experience and did nothing to resolve the situation. The dishes, pans, silverware, and cups all had to be cleaned before using. They were put away in cabinets dirty and cloudy with lipstick marks and food particles. Every kitchen cabinet, dishwasher, and all the windows by the pool were covered in grease and hand marks. We wore our shoes inside the house because the floor was so sticky. The washer and dryer were not working, so we couldn't wash any of the linens to make sure they were clean (good thing I keep extra blankets and an air mattress in my car). My small dog (that I paid extra for) picked up and almost choked on large tumbleweeds of hair; we found them all over the house. In addition, and more concerning to us we have a 5 month old baby that we made the trip to meet. The four of us were all very careful to get tested for Covid (and pay $150 each!) right before and social distance to keep the baby safe. They did not let us know that there would be someone coming to maintenance the pool at 11am the morning after we checked in. He did not wear a mask and we didn't have the chance to avoid contact because we were not informed. This is particularly important considering the current pandemic and health situation. We brought all of this up to management after the pool cleaner left and they never reached out to us until an hour and a half before check out the next day. They said they would refund the full cleaning fee of $275, but only refunded $250 until I requested the remaining $25. Airbnb would have requested they refund the cleaning fee anyways after seeing my photos. No one should pay a cleaning fee when you end up cleaning a vacation house yourself, but also no one should spend $1000/night for a UNSANITARY DUMP. I'm sure they will continue to rent houses this way considering the past recent reviews are consistent with mine. This house was definitely NOT COVID SAFE and according to their management they also DGAF. Please do not rent from this company, especially in the time of Covid. A hotel (or motel!) would have been 100% safer and a fraction of the cost. read more

Please don't use this company. - Gardner came at 8 AM - Pool guy came in the middle of our pool day - Mold in the shower - Mold in the fridge ice maker - Fridge stopped working at one point - Over an inch of dust on ceiling fans. Requested to speak with manger upon return from vacation and was send an e-mail days later to "explain" the issues with the house. I just tried to submit a review for them through their Hospitality App, but it was rejected. Apparently, reviews aren't posted if they do not meet their star criteria. We stayed 4 nights at their 3 Vinos property. Normally, I do a lot of due diligence on hotel stays and vacations, but we were evacuees from the CZU Lightning Complex Fire and needed to move fast to find a roof for our heads. Another important aspect was a location with internet since we had multiple people working at home with conference calls, etc. The internet at this house would fail one or two times per day and be down for 15-30 minutes. We had been bouncing from hotel to hotel before arriving at this property and everything we had stayed at felt safe and clean with Covid. I really appreciated the effort that hotels were putting forth to open their doors during this challenging time. Needless to say, I was shocked that a vacation rental like this did not have to or chose not to comply with the safety measures that are in place for hotels. We arrived at 3 Vinos in Paso Robles 30 minutes before check-in and it appeared a cleaner was at the house. Someone had checked out prior to us checking in. We went to town and returned later. Greeting us at the front door was a cobweb in the corner that another reviewer had mentioned in a review on their website. Sadly, these cobwebs have still not been cleaned-up since being shut during Covid or ever. After hauling our things in, I went to the back deck and discovered broken glass from a bulb from the "party lights." It was all over the deck, chairs and table. Ironically, the housecleaner would have had to step in it to replace a new bag in the trash can. I spent my first 30 minutes at this house picking up glass and hosing a deck and furniture down that probably never saw a cleaning in years. The kitchen was disgusting. Every pot and pan I used had to be cleaned first. There was leftover food in all of them and even pasta crusted in a pot. The glasses had lipstick stains and some were cloudy. The quality of the cook wear is very low grade. I would not even donate these items to the Goodwill. The kitchen cabinets were greasy and sticky. There was open boxes of sugar and misc. stuff left from other renters in a cabinet, even a 1/2 bag of chocolate chips. Food splatter on the wall by the trash can. Needless to say, the lack of hygiene in this place gave us no comfort during the time of Covid. If I was here on vacation, I would have demanded my money back and put the charge in dispute with my credit card company. I spoke with someone on the phone about the cleanliness and they didn't really seem bothered by it or care. I payed roughly $440 per night to clean a house and wash dishes so we could feel safe. I washed every towel in the place before we used them. The floor in the house was filthy. Your feet would be black after walking barefoot on it. This house was not Covid safe and I have no idea how Paso Robles Vacation Rentals are able to operate at this standard. It seems highly unfair to hotels and other businesses that must meet guidelines. read more

As an owner of a vacation home, I signed up with Paso Robles Vacation Rentals. They rented my home for a weekend and the neighbors called be letting me know that there were 10 cars parked at my house and they were having a huge party. I called Paso Robles Vacation Rentals and let them know this was unacceptable. They told me they would send someone out there right away. The person they sent told the guests to keep it down and to move a couple of cars so it wasnt noticeable. The person told my neighbor he didnt want to upset the guests because they want a good review for YELP. What kind of crap is that? I also heard that one of their houses was recently robbed because the housekeeper did not close all the windows or set the alarm. Of course, I chose PRVR once again when I came up for the Firestone Beerfest. This time, we had a cozy one bedroom cottage that was close to the downtown area. We were able to walk everywhere, which made it extremely easy and convenient. The cottage was decorated so nicely, it felt like home. We had a great time! It was the perfect Fall get away with our family. We visited the coast and saw the sea lions and went to Stepladder Ranch Creamery, where we saw lots of cute goats. The next day was the River K Pumpkin Patch and Harris Stage Lines. We went through the corn maze, which was aMAZEing! Tommie Harris took us on a hay ride and we picked out our Halloween pumpkins. The apartment was centrally located and just minutes from the downtown square. We enjoyed the restaurants and the city park at night. It was a fun filled weekend and we will be back! read more

Here is the letter I wrote to the owner, they kept 1/2 or our $1000 deposit and to this day we are still sitting here with real questions that have not been answered. Dear Paso Robles Vacation Rentals I am writing you to let you know how disappointed we are with our experience we were provided by your company. We are locals in the Paso Robles/Templeton Community. 1) The lack of communication, organization and timeliness was only the preface to our experience. I had personally notified Beth and Rebecca about us being out of the country prior to the rental time. I come back to being rushed to fill out last minute documents that should of been given to me well in advance of the check in date. But I got them ON the check in date. Very poor planning. I was also called at the last minute to be told that they needed to know when I would be checking into the rental as they wanted to be present...while all along I was going by the procedures that were sent to me in an email about how to check in. so again, I am put into a tight spot trying to find time to meet up with Suzy only to find out that she really did not need to be there. 2) We followed every rule given to us and we were still harassed. We stop playing music BEFORE 10pm as we were requested to do. Although the neighbors had the music blasting at their party past midnight. There is no way that anyone could of heard our music over theirs. We could not even hear our own music in the front yard over theirs. Then turning around and charging us for Susy to stop by to tell us the next day....I am insulted. 3) We were charged for damaging the concrete....I dont even know what this is....no documentation was given to us explaining why our deposit was not given back in whole. Only a check with no explanation. I actually had to call and find out why half of our deposit was returned. I would think that if you are running a legit business you would be more proactive on your approach when it comes to finances. 4) We left the rental in perfect condition, actually we did more than we were asked to do. We stripped all the beds, did half the laundry and wiped down the counter tops and even sorted the laundry and folded the finished items. 5) We will not be referring anyone to use your business as we were treated very poorly, like second class citizens and do not feel that half our deposit should of been kept as we followed all the rules down to a T read more

This was my first visit to the Paso area, and with a group of 8 I figured renting a house would be the way to go. I found Paso Robles Vacation Rentals and looked through their wide array of houses available for rent. I began email conversations with them almost 10 months before the actual trip, because I had no idea how packed Paso is on weekends in the Spring. Turned out, there probably wasn't anything to worry about. I did end up reserving a beautiful craftsman style home that would fit 6-8 people for what I believe to be a reasonable price. When a few months before the trip Kathy contacted me saying the owners of that particular house had plans, she was extremely clear that my reservation stood no matter what, and that if I wanted to, she would offer my group an upgrade at no extra charge, for the inconvenience. I thought it was great how she handled it, I didn't feel pressured at all, and when I looked at the houses she offered I found an amazing 1893 Victorian that was perfect and was completely willing to switch. Communication was always great, and on arrival to the area I called a scant 20 minutes before arriving due to being in the middle of a tour before that, and by the time we reached the house it was unlocked and the keys were there for us. A completely seamless check-in! The only criticisms my group could come up with were fairly minor, and really only to do with the property itself, in no way reflecting on the customer service of Kathy or Becky. -The wifi security code wasn't listed anywhere, so I had to call to request it. It could have been on the information sheet for the property. -There were no paper towels! This was frustrating since we had gotten a house so we could cook all our meals there and made messes while doing so. -No extra toilet paper. There were about 3.5 rolls in the house, for 8 people for 3 days. We got lucky and didn't have to run out and buy some. But it would be nice if there was a stock of paper goods. Highly recomended, and I will be sure to use their service the next time I head out to the beautiful Paso Robles area. read more

Making hotel reservations online for four couples is a pain in the arse. Not only potentially confusing (do I really need to tell someone that we are not a family of eight?) but also expensive for one person's credit card, or possible disjointed accommodations if each couple makes their own attempt. Paso Robles Vacation Rentals was our savior. The price was right, private rooms for each couple, and--in all--OUR HOUSE for the weekend. We chose the Vina Robles Guest House. Anyone who enjoys an "out there" countryside home should choose this property. The modest-looking building is secluded, gated, on a hilltop, and surrounded by vineyards. Be aware that this place is not near Downtown (15-minute drive) and the surroundings are dark at night with nothing but the breeze as noise. The interior is modern. The abundant windows provide lots of light. The living/dining/kitchen space has great flow. The sleeping quarters were generous and comfortable. The master suite is ginormous; it could do with a chest of drawers or some art to fill the space. There is even an office space with a desk, printer, cabinetry and skylight; and a laundry room with sink, counter space, and iron and ironing board. There were plenty of towels for all. A slow bathroom sink drain and a French door that didn't want to lock were the only "hmmm" moments. (I brought these concerns to the management company and they said they would fix them.) A couple of my friends lamented that there wasn't a pool or jacuzzi, but those were quibbles compared to having a house to oneself with a view, lush greenery and vineyards, and the only neighbor is Silver Horse some hundred yards away. Four of my friends and I cook, and we were most appreciative of the kitchen. It has everything a cook would need and super-roomy for five cooks. The management company even went the extra mile to outfit the kitchen with a couple of requested appliances (an electric griddle for pancakes and a blender). I think it could also benefit with a roasting pan (for those autumn and winter vacationers), a larger cutting board or two, and a coffee bean grinder (for the coffee aficionados who bring whole beans). French doors separate the living space from the front porch, but floor-to-ceiling windows separate the dining space from the patio with the grill. Similar French doors would be great to connect those two spaces, particularly for grill parties. Again, just a quibble, not a complaint. Our wine weekend ended too soon, and in no small part due to the Vina Robles Guest House and the very friendly and responsive folks at Paso Robles Vacation Rentals. We even said "goodbye" to the house; we never do that with hotels. read more

Belated review for Mid-November stay. All I can say is that my friends and I loved the home we rented just north of downtown Paso Robles. It was newer, clean and well equipped. The only negatives were the Outdoor BBQ did not light up, and didn't have the enough pans for cooking. Other than that, the staff was helpful with the reservations and processing of the payment. It is wonderful working with PRVR. They are a business providing professional attendance from beginning to end. They will send you an app to download which contain logistics for your stay. We stayed at DeVine Street Cottage. It's adorable and convenient to the village. The kitchen is fully equipped, the air works great (never needed the heat), television and cable fully functional, quiet and peaceful, and very private. Lovely. My only complaint is the bedding. It's cute and quaint but not washed. The pillow shams were yellow and smelly. We were instructed to remove the bedding and put it in the wash before we checked out. I removed the pillow shames, yellowed and smelly only to find two, undersized pillows for the size of the shams, yellow and disgusting. I just put everything in the laundry room. Pillows can be washed often so I'm confused why such an adorable, comfortable, darling, sweet place to stay wouldn't take more care. Fortunately we brought our own pillows and you may want to do the same but don't let my review discourage you. It's a wonderful place to stay and PRVR makes sure you are happy. Have fun! read more

The Shandon House was absolutely incredible!! Completely secluded on a beautiful hilltop overlooking the valley, we had this stunning home to ourselves. It was perfect for sharing good times with great friends. The pool and jacuzzi were in pristine condition and the sound system outside allowed us to play music while we enjoyed this incredible setting. We had everything we needed from plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms to an expansive kitchen fully stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. The Shandon House had TONS of space, and we can't wait to go back again and again!!! read more

It was such an incredible experience working with the staff at PRVR to set up my stay at the Merry Hill house a couple weeks ago. The entire process - from check-in to check-out - was seamless. We had a large group in town for the Firestone beer fest (a must do event for any beer lover). Everyone had a nice place to sleep, and the house's large floor plan made it easy for people to escape and enjoy time to themselves if needed. Merry Hill was also spotless - an important necessity for a neat freak like myself :) The place came equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay - from kitchen utensils, to bathroom amenities to a very relaxing pool and hot tub. I had to get some work done while staying there, so the uninterrupted wifi was also much appreciated. Highly recommend this house to large groups, personally, I can't wait to get back there! read more

We have rented some of their smaller homes when just my husband & I are visiting . As well as some of the larger homes when visiting with friends and family. Everyone in the office has been a delight to deal with and have made our trips really special with their attention to detail. Every home has been charming and exceptionally clean. So made a reservation for a condo to stay while attending wedding in April 2018. Paid a 200.00 deposit. Called to cancel and was told the 200.00 is non-refundable. Cancelling 4 months in advance and they are KEEPING my deposit. Do not recommend using them. Things change and they are not accommodating!! read more

Harvest Moon- the house was so remote down a dirt road. While the house was very clean it is very remote and the internet was non existent and the TV terrible. We were here on business so the home was unsuitable for what we needed. While the people at PRVR were very nice this was a terrible fit for us. I think in this day and age if you cannot provide working internet you should disclose that upfront. We would have picked another house. read more

Last night we went to see Bruce Hornsby at the new Vina Robles amphitheater and sat in the PRVR's VIP Box. The seats and the venue are amazing. There can't be any better seats to see the concert from. Loved that we could stand up and dance without blocking anyone's view. Can't wait to go again. A perfect night. read more
