No star at all I'm asking for a partial refund Not getting it Stepped in their dogs crap 2x Asked for clean linens... was supposed to stay 16 days. I'm 6 days in. They told me to take sheets and towels to a laundry mat. The door is busted. I have to zip tie it. The poor maintenance guy tried to fix. Not his fault cheap doors. No parking if you have large vehicles. I'm going back to my previous booking. They're welcoming me with open arms. They canceled a family trip to their home to accommodate me. Those are my people. I'll be out about 2800$. Meanwhile I'm cleaning the Mojo Room Paso Robles. I'm removing all trash cause you gotta walk up a hill. Customer service?

    Gross.

We made coffee, eggs and toast in the kitchenette every morning and were sent off by Lulu and Pono (the two ranch dogs) before we left for our daily activities. The house is in close proximity to many of the Paso wineries, 30 min to Morro Bay, and 10 minutes to downtown Paso Robles which made it easy to take mid afternoon naps before the next activity. We were in room 201, and it was very quiet. The breakfast was complimentary but not that exciting. Had a cocktail in the outside bar, and it was very nice with all the fires. From the outside, it's rather unassuming, but once you go in the front doors, the inner real beauty of this location is revealed. The courtyard is simply amazing, and like a bubble in space and time that offers a refuge from the outside world. In the evening the fireplaces are burning with hardwood every night and they offer fresh made s'mores to hotel guests. There's actually a s'mores menu. The whole environment is almost like something from a movie. They've also got a wonderful library that is tastefully appointed with many wonderful and interesting different books to read. It definitely invites you to sit down and snuggle by the fire with a good book. Such a cozy feeling! You can also select some candy for a snack. The rooms themselves are also beautiful and the bedding looks nice. Though I will say for me personally the pillows were really uncomfortable, and they had a rough spun duvet which smelled musty on the inside like it hadn't been washed in quite awhile. It looked and smelled like they were washing the sheets and the blanket but not the duvet itself. They also offer breakfast in the morning, but it's a little bit later than some other places so if you have to get an early start, then you probably won't be able to catch it. Overall I really enjoyed the stay and would say this experience is really good for the boutique traveler that is looking for a peaceful, unhurried trip.

Our deepest apologies to Lisa and Rob that this review is so overdue…read more I found Kindred Oak Farm by perusing the internet, it looked absolutely stunning. I called to make a reservation and spoke to the owner, Lisa. She was so warm, accommodating, and helpful-when I hung up the phone, I said I could be friends with that gal. When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by the friendliest, most beautiful, Great Pyranese brother and sister duo, Auggie & Gigi. Then, we met Lisa. She was so welcoming to us and so beautiful inside and out. She explained everything to us, showed us our spectacular room, Adelaide, that was full of upscale amenities. The entire room and bath area was amazing. The grand fireplace, the bathtub for two, the linens on the bed, the fabulous bottle of wine-I could go on. Even the coffee was from a local, organic coffee maker. Now let's get to the three-course breakfast we were served everyday of our four-day stay. We felt like we were at a three-star Michelin restaurant that included incredible homemade juices by Lisa. Each course was so presented so elegantly, but also in an atmosphere that made you feel right at home. Of course we went wine tasting. Lisa and Rob (Lisa's husband and co-owner) recommended wonderful wineries that we went to, and we were very pleased. Everywhere we went I had to tell them where we were staying and how beautiful and relaxing the B&B was. Back on our first morning there, Rob had taken us for a tour of the farm where we saw the game room, wedding area, the vineyard, and my favorite-the beautiful highlander cattle. Such an experience-no wonder Lisa and Rob are so happy there. Also, an honorable mention goes out to Little Girl, their precious kitty. We will definitely be back and have told all of our friends about this heaven on earth B&B. Thank you, Lisa and Rob, for making my birthday a wonderful memory!

Lisa went above and beyond to make our stay very special -- engaging our toddler in little farm activities, giving us personalized recommendations for things to do in the area, and making us feel right at home. Kindred Oak Farm was absolutely memorable and I'd recommend this special place to anyone looking for a luxurious yet cozy getaway.

We stayed at another converted motel in Paso on our last visit (Farmhouse - which we loved) but we wanted to be a bit closer to the square so we decided to try Stables Inn. Now you do get exactly what it looks like in their photos - which is fine. But just the quality of everything isn't the best. The rooms are small and the bedding and finishes are just not great quality. The bathroom very tiny, no working exhaust fan and the room itself just had one tiny window so it just felt a bit claustrophobic for two people. The staff experience was a bit mixed and could use some polishing. The positives: You are walking distance to the square. There is an interior common area which is a nice lounge. The weather out was awful so we escaped and hung out in the lounge for a bit to get out of our room. They do have an outside common area as well but you're literally on the side of a main road on an 'island' in the middle of the parking lot. I am not sure even in good weather I'd feel comfortable sitting there. If being walking distance to the square is a priority, and you aren't spending much time in your room this might be fine for you. We ended up staying our third night at the Farmhouse Motel which is just a bit further down the road and couldn't recommend it more. Everything is so well done and priced very comparably.
