The peloton bikes had not been setup at the time....
Brandon M.

I travel up to this area quite a bit and I think I'll make this one of my regular stops. It's basically new and there was only a handful of people staying there on that day. Overall it has a great balance of careful choices; little details that make the difference. It's not like the typical conglomerate hotel group chains, but it's not as expensive as the true boutique business who sell you phony authenticity. Rooms are spacious in a very carefully considered way. Central AC, glass showers, solid tile work, solid insulation, great varied lighting, a solid mattress and lots of little decor and setup considerations you don't notice, until you do. The receptionist was quick and friendly. I'd say the only problem I had was the Peloton bike. During my workout I saw that they had never been setup and still needed the commercial codes entered for setup. Otherwise the gym was well equipped with an average setup of basically new equipment. Later that night I had two drinks at the bar and I only had to share it with two other patrons and the bartender.

Checked in around 4:30PM in January 2026. They assigned me a room on the second floor. Stayed Saturday-Monday. Chose this place because it was reasonably priced and was a lot cheaper than what most hotels charge on weekends. Things I didn't like: Nothing unpleasant about the receptionist who checked me in, but she didn't give me any information at all (unlike other hotels): nothing about where the ice machine was, where the fitness facility was located and when it was open, check out deadline, breakfast and times it was served, other amenities, etc. She handed me my card and told me how to get to my room and was ready to dismiss me, so I stopped her and asked her where everything was. The room was clean except for two yellow, soap-looking stains on the shower wall. The water dripped occasionally from the shower (I first noticed this a few minutes after entering the room) and, because the drain below the shower head is metal, it kept making this nonstop clanging sound, which I could hear from my bed. The shower head has a switch-like line that allows you to change the settings by rotating it, but there is not a setting that allows for all holes to spray water, which was annoying because no single setting felt like my body was being immersed. The water also sprayed out hard like it was attacking your skin and depending on what you prefer, it may or may not be the most comfortable. The shower head is also angled so the water shoots completely diagonally, so the trajectory was awkward for my average height. I tried tilting it, but it wasn't an option. The bathroom door, which was a heavy sliding door, didn't lock. At first, I thought I was locking it incorrectly, but it turned out the bolt didn't align with the hole it was supposed to slide into. I liked that they had a mini bar-like area in the room and had a mini fridge, but there was no microwave in the King bed room. There was also no hot water anywhere for tea (at least not to my knowledge), which was ironic because the room came with a green tea bag at the bar. The tall lamp in the corner of the room wouldn't turn on because the socket wasn't working. I unplugged it and plugged it into the other socket and it worked. The blackout curtains had a gap where the two sides of the curtains met and light streamed in from outside, making it not completely "blackout." I tried to overlap the curtains, but could still see the light streaming in. I had gone to the bathroom during the early evening of check-in day and there was a spider crawling around by the door. This is the first time I've stayed in a hotel (and I've stayed in many) where I saw a spider. Channels are limited, spanning from channels 2 to 40, more than a fourth of which are news or sports-related, but I found a channel which played Marvel movies mostly 24/7 (FX) and one which played popular movies (TNT). There's also the option for Chromecast on the TV. The TV settings also allow you to add captions, which was helpful since, even though the TV noises projected loudly, the voices were a bit muffled at lower volumes (which is necessary in the evenings). The Hotel also doesn't allow Door Dash to drop off food items at your door. Apparently, it is against their policy. I received a call from the front desk when mine was delivered, stating I needed to go downstairs to pick it up. The hotel also charges a fee at check-in, which they hold until after you check out (they said it is returned 36 hours+ after checkout). It was approximately $50 for damages and whatnot. Now, onto the good: The fitness center is 24-hour. I absolutely LOVE that. It comes with two benches, one rowing machine, two treadmills, two spin bikes, plyo balls, medicine balls, mats, and dumbbells. There is also two wall mirrors opposite of each other. There was also a scale present, but it did not work. The room has a chase-lounge type chair, which is "hard," but comfortable, the kind good for people with bad backs like mine. I love the side table it comes with. Perfectly fits my laptop, heavy and solid, and can be moved. The room also has a curved-backed-type desk chair, which is wide and perfectly comfortable There is an ice/water dispenser (2nd floor), a Nespresso machine in the room, and two whiskey glasses. One of the Yelp reviews stated it was $10 per day for parking and I noticed this information was also listed on the app I placed my reservation on, but when I asked the front desk during check-in about it, they told me there was no charge for parking. Other things: Ample space for storage, including a closet, shoe rack, and three drawers; transparent glass sliding shower doors; electronic temperature controls; laundry room (2nd floor); and mini fridge. All in all, it wasn't a bad stay. Each person has their quirks regarding what they want/don't want in a hotel stay, and this hotel didn't scream "Come back!" to me. After weighing the pros and cons, I'd give it between a 3 & 3.5-star rating.

Filthy, unsanitized toilet at check-in. Gross hygiene standards and zero accountability.

Our deepest apologies to Lisa and Rob that this review is so overdue…read more I found Kindred Oak Farm by perusing the internet, it looked absolutely stunning. I called to make a reservation and spoke to the owner, Lisa. She was so warm, accommodating, and helpful-when I hung up the phone, I said I could be friends with that gal. When my husband and I arrived we were greeted by the friendliest, most beautiful, Great Pyranese brother and sister duo, Auggie & Gigi. Then, we met Lisa. She was so welcoming to us and so beautiful inside and out. She explained everything to us, showed us our spectacular room, Adelaide, that was full of upscale amenities. The entire room and bath area was amazing. The grand fireplace, the bathtub for two, the linens on the bed, the fabulous bottle of wine-I could go on. Even the coffee was from a local, organic coffee maker. Now let's get to the three-course breakfast we were served everyday of our four-day stay. We felt like we were at a three-star Michelin restaurant that included incredible homemade juices by Lisa. Each course was so presented so elegantly, but also in an atmosphere that made you feel right at home. Of course we went wine tasting. Lisa and Rob (Lisa's husband and co-owner) recommended wonderful wineries that we went to, and we were very pleased. Everywhere we went I had to tell them where we were staying and how beautiful and relaxing the B&B was. Back on our first morning there, Rob had taken us for a tour of the farm where we saw the game room, wedding area, the vineyard, and my favorite-the beautiful highlander cattle. Such an experience-no wonder Lisa and Rob are so happy there. Also, an honorable mention goes out to Little Girl, their precious kitty. We will definitely be back and have told all of our friends about this heaven on earth B&B. Thank you, Lisa and Rob, for making my birthday a wonderful memory!

We stayed in the Oak Room which was very clean, well maintained, and so cozy. The views are incomparable. PS - the rooms do not have TV. Which was fine for us. There is a shared living room with a large TV and different options for music, for those that need it. The breakfast was amazing! Big compliments to the chef. Highlight of our experience. We enjoyed exploring the grounds. All the animals are very gentle. Wanted to see the cows, but couldn't find them. Detracting half a star to the overall review for: confusion on check-in & overnight dog barking. Upon arrival, We walked in with another couple, and there wasn't anyone to greet us for about 5 to 10 minutes. The other couple texted, called without connection. There were no instructions on checking in either. So we were just confused together for a while until our host appeared. In addition, a dog was barking intermittently the whole night, for both nights that we stayed. So that detracted a little but overall a good experience and would recommend.

This has been the only hotel that charges a parking fee. The ones closer to downtown doesn't even charge anything. It took me a while to set up pay to park, which was not fun after a long day of work. My 1st night I amlost fell on toilet because they are super low. They are elementary school sized toilets. As someone else mentioned, the big gap underneath the door makes it easier to hear everyone. The 1st night I heard some lady have a long conversation at 11 pm and on. My last day, someone's phone vibrated at 5am, 5:15 and 5:30am and I thought it was my phone bc of the thin walls. That person also had a full on conversation with his partner, so needless to say I gave up on sleeping until 730 am. Another thing I didn't like is the lack of black out curtains. So the sunrise would wake me up the first couple more nights. Room does have a nice size and I like how it has a desk. Wish there was a light switch to turn on more lights in the room, instead of individually flipping on all the lights. Other amenities they offer are free breakfast, mini gym and computer to do office or emails. I had stomach issues 2 days in a row from their breakfast so I started to stick with fruits and coffee for breakfast. I'm pretty sure the yogurt gave me issues because it's just yogurt on an ice pack on the bottom vs other places having yogurt in the fridgator or some container that looks like it stays cooler. The gym had a couple treadmills, free weights, kettle bells, the jumping box thingy, and a thing that looks like a bow flex. I personally would not book this place ever again due to paying to park, not having to have good sleep due to thin walls and gap underneath the door and the food giving me stomach issues. But I will say staff is friendly tho!

While the word motel has certain perceptions attached to it, farmhouse is in actuality a bright, modern, and very aesthetically pleasing hotel with wonderful amenities. Prices can be average to above average depending on the time of the year, but we were able to use some credit card points to save even further. I'd say the stay is worth the baseline price, though. We got the standard king bed room. Each room has its own little patio, and a shared fire pit nearby. The room was spacious, clean, and the color palate is a dream. The bathroom amenities were standard. It's a room you wouldn't mind doing a staycation in. The service is wonderful. There is a front desk for easy check in, and the host was available via text if we needed anything ( at one point we needed more tissues and she brought it within minutes). Having said that, I've had better customer service at some 3 star places than some 5 stars. I had read great things about this place and it looked so fun, I couldn't pass it up! Guest services here are stellar. I called the day before to see if we could store our luggage in the lobby, realizing we had a tasting before checkin. Not only was that fine, but they said we could get into our room a little early to avoid that. And, they left us a sweet note and gift for our anniversary! If we needed anything, they were quick to reply and help throughout the stay. (For example, hubby forgot his toothbrush. I texted you see if they had any - they did in their gift shop and offered to run one to our room!) The room itself was compact but comfortable and well appointed. And, it was so nice to walk into a cool room on such a hot day. (Don't take that for granted - I've had less than great on that front.) Storage is a little limited, but we used our luggage as a dresser drawer. The bed was firm and cozy, and the sheets were lovely. We slept great! The toilet paper and tissues were a little rough - almost office supply quality - which was disappointing. Huge TV with lots of options. They serve croissants and coffee/tea in the lobby/lounge area in the morning. The croissants were big, buttery, and beautiful! Yummy! The coffee was meh at best. The location is great - just a few blocks to the town park and restaurants. We didn't have an opportunity to use the fire pit, but they looked cozy. The property itself is pretty with lots of flowers. The drive/walkway was steep in some places. Parking seemed a little tricky - we saw people taking a few attempts to make it work - but doable. You only get 1 key per room. We were doing things together the entire time, so that wasn't an issue. I would have liked to have seen an extra security lock on the door, but that's me. All in all it was a great stay and I would be happy to return! (Hint, hint in case hubby sees this!) Huge thanks to all there for making our anniversary getaway a romantic, relaxing treat!

To their credit, the staff was friendly and quickly moved me to another room, which I appreciated. The vision behind this place is truly inspiring and heartwarming. Built from the ground up around sustainability, human energy, and the balance between light and dark: allegretto, as a name, captures it perfectly. There are structures and masterpieces from six continents woven throughout the grounds, and as you walk through, you feel transported: one moment you're in Europe, the next in India, the next rooted right here in the American West. The tasting room mostly outdoors and so relaxing + beautiful, and the club membership is def worth it! What truly sold me were my wine tour hosts, Rosemary and Ryan. From the moment I walked in, they were warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about this place. The spa was great too! Jackie and Denise were warm and I got an amazing facial. Started the morning with yoga in the chapel, which was serene and restorative in the best possible way. The restaurant, Cello, is also excellent. Renee and Devyn were kind & welcoming. Lisa and Ava at the front desk were gracious and warm every time I crossed their path. Also found the most thoughtful, reasonably priced gifts for my family at the wine tasting room: a rare bonus. Heard they're building a second pool that will include both a family pool and an adults-only pool too. A few small notes I'm sharing in the spirit of the brand itself: not as complaints, but as easy wins for mgmt. For a resort so deeply rooted in sustainability, plastic cups at the water stations felt out of place. Switching to paper would be a simple change with a meaningful impact. Similarly, the mats in the chapel were the Amazon brand, which didn't feel aligned with the intentionality of everything else here. And one logistical thing worth noting: a portion of the grounds was blocked off for a wedding the morning after I checked in (pic included) Had planned to wander early and would have really appreciated a heads up at booking so I could plan accordingly. None of this changes my overall experience or my enthusiasm for this place. Allegretto is one of those rare destinations that if the above aligns with what you enjoy, you will be transported.
