This is definitely still the best breakfast on the island! I run past Pasquales every morning and smell the delicious breakfast foods and was definitely craving French Toast all week. My partner and I headed over Friday morning and were so excited to satisfy our breakfast desires. The service was quick and pleasant. The food was delicious. The price was great. We stick to our previously held belief that this is the best breakfast on the island. So glad they open early too! The renovation, which is a few years old, looks great. It's so clean and cute. Super cool breakfast spot while you're in the island. Be prepared to wait if you go at prime times but it's worth the wait. The vibe is fun- fast paced environment on busy breakfast times but the food is delicious. Traditional breakfast foods are in the menu and you won't be disappointed. Had the pizza at Pasquales and it was OK. It was crispy, which was good, but something else just wasn't right. I'm not sure what it was, but I think it was probably the sauce just being a bit bland. Overall, it was an OK pizza. I tried the ravioli from someone else and that was pretty good. The service was also decent. read more

I am not sure why everyone says this place has the best breakfast on the island! It's not really that true, and unless I am missing something, there were only four breakfast items on the menu. I agree with the other Yelpers that this place was just mediocre. I visited last summer during my visit for lunch, and remember getting the philly cheesesteak which was pretty good. This year I decided to get a breakfast item at 2 pm, since they serve breakfast all day, and I ordered the Hot Mess. It was just okay. Definitely a lot of food - hash browns (wish they had been fresh cubed potatoes instead of the small slices that look like they are store packaged), scrambled eggs, whole pieces of bacon, smothered in sausage gravy and accompanied by two slices of toast. You can get alcohol there too which is a plus but it was our last day on the island and I did not feel the need to drink anymore. The service was okay, she seemed like a bored teenager or twenty something who had nothing better to do and did not smile a lot. I wish I had chosen a different restaurant at which to spend my final meal in PIB. read more

Tried this place for the first time this weekend. We had just arrived on the island and wanted small and quick to hold us over until later. Wife got the 4 cheese grilled cheese sandwich with tomato bisque. She enjoyed it very much. Daughter just got some pretzel bites, what can I say...they were pretzel bites. I ordered the Pompeii chicken sandwich and am so glad I did. It was delicious. A grill chicken sandwich panini style. With Swiss cheese, sweet red peppers, onion, and pesto mayo. I will definitely make sure to grab one on every trip to the island for now on! read more

We didn't have to wait, but we came to the island towards the end of the season and during the week, not sure if that will make a difference for those who visit when the island is busier. The best place for breakfast we've found on the island. I ordered the eggs Benedict, and the eggs were perfectly poached and the Hollandaise sauce had real flavor for a change. Omelettes are big and tasty too, and the coffee is satisfying. Nice cafe atmosphere, and very popular. read more

Arrived around 10:30 on a Tuesday. We had a party of 8. Was told it would be about 10 minutes but it was closer to 20-25 mins. The decor of the restaurant is clean and light. There appears to be plenty of staff to assist everyone. The menu is very clear and well written. Not too overwhelming, just a front and back laminate. Prices were very reasonable. Food quality was very good. The only con was the service: the wait to get the table, and the wait to get our food. Our waitress was nice but a little out of it. She dropped a plate and broke it on an adjacent table and also dropped some cups in the kitchen. She also forgot to refill our coffee so we had another waitress get it for us. Despite the mediocre service I would try this place again due to the good food and atmosphere. read more

I can see why there was a line to get into the place. I had the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. The bagel was super soft and perfect for the meal. The mimosas were great and very affordable for on the island. We have decided this is our new breakfast spot on the island. read more

I've been coming to the Island for more then a decade and the first stop is always Pasquale's restaurant. GREAT FOOD!, friendly family atmosphere and the best staff ever!. May have a little wait at times due to it being one of the popular eateries, but well worth waiting and a chance to talk to and meet new friends. See you at the Bay and Pasquales ;-) read more

I read some of these posts a found some of them to be ridiculous. This is a summer resort that gets slammed every year. What do these people expect? I look forward to a nice freshly cooked breakfast every morning when I am on the island. The college girls who work there in the summer do the best that they can for their customers and most people agree that they are attentive and sweet. For $6 or $7 you expect 5 start cuisine? Best breakfast on South Bass Island. I come for regattas to PIB at least three times a year and invariably 95% of the sailors go to Pasquales. I often just get the breakfast sandwich but they often have specials too. If I'm really hungry I get the biscuits and gravy or an omelette. Waitresses are very good at keeping coffee filled. This place was recommended as a great place for breakfast. Stopped by on a Saturday morning. We had to wait 30 minutes for a table even though the hostess told us 10 minutes. Once we sat down, it took 10 minutes for our waitress to even acknowledge that we were seated in her section. The wait to get our food was average but the service by our waitress was horrible. we had to ask two or three times just to get more coffee. The food was very good though. read more

Had the best breakfast I have ever eaten while visiting Put In Bay! Lobster eggs benedict is a must try! The staff was courteous and the place was quaint! It wasn't overly busy since it was after Labor Day. Will make sure to visit again when we travel to Put In Bay! read more

Stopped by for breakfast Saturday morning. Get here early because there's a line by 8:30 a.m. Frosty's used to be the place to go for breakfast, but Pasquale's seems more popular now. The restaurant was completely remodeled over the winter and there are more tables now. My wife and I both had the island special, eggs, breakfast meat, hash browns, and bread. It's not Bob Evans, but it's still pretty good, and not too expensive. $18.31 plus tip without any drinks. Didn't try one, but the Bloody Marys looked awfully good! read more

Service was terrible. We arrived and told the hostess that we wanted to order carryout. We sat at the counter and waited 20 minutes to even be acknowledged. The server dropped menus in front of us, and we said that's ok, we know what we want. She said "well, I'll be back because I have other stuff I have to do.". She came back a few minutes later. We asked for three orders of pepperoni bread to go. The server said "we only serve breakfast until noon." It was 11:48 a.m. The menu says pepperoni bread takes at least 10 minutes. The server did not offer any effort to see if she could accommodate us or apologize that we had waited that long for nothing. She just turned and walked away. We're staying in the area for several days and probably would have gone back, but not after that treatment. read more

The dishwasher was broken during my visit so everything was plastic. Plastic or Styrofoam cups, plastic utensils, disposable plastic plates. This had our waitress frazzled. Which then had me frazzled. I just wanted some damn fruit with my omelet, not carb-heavy toast and hash browns but they won't substitute omelet sides. I have never worked in the restaurant world so I am sure there is a good reason for this but I see it as annoying because the fruit cost less than if I had ordered toast and hash browns as side items. For whatever reason, this had me really pissed off and normally I am not bothered by trivial things like this. Therefore, I think this affected how I thought the food tasted because everyone else I was with thought their meal was great. I opted for a veggie filled egg white omelet sans the carb crap, add on $4 for three strawberries cut in half and a whole orange. The omelet was very watery or oily to me and lacking in flavor. My mom and sister had the same meal with the toast and hash browns and thought the omelet was delicious and raved about the hash browns just to give me a little shit. I can't recall what my dad had but I remember he wanted to eat breakfast here the following morning so evidently he quite liked it. I blame the limited menu and the weather for my poor attitude while eating here. read more

Was looking forward to an Italian dinner. Sadly the website is incorrect and they no longer serve Italian food. They do still have pizza and breakfast but those are the only carry overs from before. Food was ok but we probably would not have went here if we knew ahead of time. read more

The Pompeii sandwich here was amazing! We also loved our waiter who is a force in exchange student! She was so nice, friendly and welcoming! The French fries were also SO GOOD! I would definitely come back to Pasquales on my next visit! read more

Oh, don't waste your money or bore your tastebuds if you want an Italian dinner. I tried their signature dish (the menu stated it was pasta in a garlic sauce with fresh basil, tomatoes, and fresh parmesan.) What was served was watery spaghetti, with 2 cold cherry tomatoes pulled off a salad, a few sprinkles of dried parsley to make it look 'green', and some canned, grated sprinkles of parmesan. When I showed the waitress the menu description vs. what was served, she said, "Oh, yeah, well, I wanted to warn you, but I'm not allowed." I asked where all the fresh basil and cheese was? She said, "Uh, it's in the sauce, I guess...the owner refuses to take it off the menu, even though we get a lot of complaints!" And a salad from McDonalds has more pizazz than what they serve here! This place actually serves you a cheap iceberg salad, 2 cherry tomatoes, and a tiny sprinkle of cheese with the dressing served in a little 'to go' cup--I was sitting table side--couldn't they at least pretend I wanted to eat there?
