Brought by a local to Put-In-Bay and was told I had to try Frosty's. Restaurant was classic island feel. The service was very quick and friendly. The food for me was pretty average but I will give them kudos for their portion sizes for at-least the tots. It could feed a full family of 4. Happy to recommend but probably will check out a different restaurant next time I visit. read more

I used to love the nachos at Frosty bar. However, they changed the chicken that is on the nachos and it's basically chicken you would open up out of a can and dump it on. This is a long standing local operation, and it's a breakfast/pizza/bar all in one. We came for breakfast, which was a nice and peaceful vibe, which was greatly needed after an evening of island shenanigans. Food was great/ I loved the health nut plate, especially the chia pudding. My gals enjoyed the eggs Bennie, and the other said the gravy on her biscuits was the best she's ever had! My liver would not permit any breakfast cocktails, but my friend really liked the frostini! We were at Put-in-Bay before the busy season and I think this was the only place open for breakfast. The waitress was very sweet and they had enough options for breakfast, but they weren't able to accommodate my request for egg whites. That's fine but the toast was a little burnt too , so I didn't have the best breakfast. My friend enjoyed his breakfast so all was fine. Next time I'll come when the island has more restaurants open for breakfast. read more

Frostys has been a tradition. I'm from Ottawa county so it's an institution. It used to be the affordable place with terrible pizza that soaked up the days alcohol. Today we went and ordered 1 Busch lite and a Mom water and they told me $18.70. I am used to island pricing but that is ridiculous. I asked the bartender the cost of each drink which totaled about $15 I said so where's that total come from and he said I don't know tax. This isn't the 1st time. If you go to Put in Bay, you have to have Frosty's Pizza, it's like always on the list of things to do. We had a 12" deluxe pizza and three of us shared and still had slices left. I wished the veggies were a little more cooked but didn't stop me from eating it! I also ordered the chips w/queso and salsa. It was good but may or may not get it again. One of our group ordered the Mambo Nachos, or named something like that, and that would have fed our whole table of 5 by itself. Ambiance is always fun and upbeat with a great variety of music. What an all around disaster of a restaurant. We asked to split the bill before we ordered and the server said yes. The food was bland and tasted microwaved. After we ate, the server messed up splitting the bill 3 times. 3 times.... And while we tried to get it fixed, she was extremely rude to us and seemed like she did not care at all. While talking to the manager, the manager was rude and condescending towards us and treated us like 5 year olds. The manager also berated customers for not having online payment to Venmo the now (NOT SPLIT) bill. For a group of people who all work in customer service, we were forced to make amends for the mistakes they made. There is no plus side to this restaurant unless you have a want to be yelled at and looked down upon. :( read more

The Canadian Bacon was over cooked and the hash browns had a funny flavor from the oil they were cooked in. I had to use a lot of Southern gravy (ketchup) to make them palatable. I would come back. The pizza here is amazing. We were struggling to find a place for lunch for a large business meeting and with the island winding down for the season Frosty's came through. We got 12 pizzas and every pizza looked amazing. It is on the pricy side but the quality of the ingredients I think your getting what you pay for here. read more

Although visited put in bay in the off season, we still enjoyed a great meal at frostys bar. My wife got the gluten free pizza which was amazing with a cauliflower crust and I got the standard pepperoni thin crust. Everything tasted great! Highly recommend trying this based on the pizza alone. The service was kind of slow there were only about two other tables and we were seated outside in the bar area. We visited during the off season so they were out of a lot of beverage options especially on draft. Would eat here again based on food. Definitely worth your time to try for great pizza. read more

We came to Frostys for breakfast. Being on the island during the week doesn't offer many breakfast choices. We were not disappointed. My husband ordered a traditional eggs Benedict and I got the country Benedict. My Benedict had a sausage patty on a biscuit with an over easy egg and covered with sausage gravy. The gravy was homemade and legit!! I am picky about my sausage gravy. The hash Browns were nice and crispy (the only way to be) we also tried their homemade hot sauce which was like a salsa verde, it was delicious! We ended up putting it on everything. The food was void of any flavor. The ham and eggs were overdone. We ordered a biscuits and gravy to share and I'm not kidding the gravy was cold. We sent it back and it came back still not very warm. The server said they'd remake it but it seemed like they just put it in the microwave. My food was barely room temperature and there was almost no hollandaise sauce at all. Overall not a great meal. Walked in and asked for a rum punch. Bartender poured it out of a tap(wtf?). Orange juice was immediately identified as sour; returned it and got a supposedly "double Bacardi and coke". Next order was same, and the bartender served me a drink that was 90% coke syrup. Absolute GARBAGE drinks here. I ordered the macho nachos and they were stale! When I mentioned it to the waitress she didn't offer to take them off the bill. I am a 21 year old who went to put-in bay for fall break with my friends expecting to have a relaxing vacation, and we were treated disrespectfully and were victims of harsh agism by both the employees and management of frostys. My friends bought 2 pizzas and were not told the prices before and were then charged $61. That is unacceptable . Not to mention the fact that I had to show the bartender 3+ forms of identification to get a pint of Miller lite, even after I answered his punitive questions regarding my identification. IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 0 stars I would do it. Not only were we victims of discrimination due to our age, but we were overcharged, stared at, intimidated, and the servers were relectuant to serve us. NEVER GO TO FROSTYS! read more
