He is unfailingly calm, and very good at clearly explaining his plans. He is an efficient surgeon, and even with the difficult extractions our son had, able to complete the work with very little post-operative problems.(Let's be honest, oral surgery and its after effects are very uncomfortable.) I myself have had some extremely unpleasant post-op experiences with other, now mercifully retired, surgeons, and we have all heard horror stories. His practice is very well run and pleasant. We seldom have to wait very long for service, and it is easy to get an appointment. I would without any hesitation recommend this practice, and the more severe your condition, the stronger I would urge you to take a look.

Dr. Schachter examined my mouth and told me that I needed at least two--probably three--root canals. hmmmm..... This didn't seem right to me. I went back to my regular dentist even though it was more than 100 miles away. My dentist said I did not need any root canals and it is clear to me that time has proved my other dentist to be correct. It is 2012 and I have not lost a tooth or needed a root canal. Some time later another friend mentioned this dentist. (He had gone to Dr. Schachter at the recommendation of the first friend I mentioned.) He also thought Dr. Schachter was terrific. At the end, there was only me and one other patient in the waiting area, who checked in long after I did. Another couple came in and asked how long I had been waiting and I told them my appt was at 2:30, and it was now 4 o'clock. The other receptionist stood up and yelled at me across the room.
