The staff here is so nice and the service was lovely. I'd go back again, but I've had better Indian food elsewhere. The shrimp korma was lacking in flavor. The shrimp tasted fresh and the sauce did too, it just didn't have as much depth as I'm used to. The onion naan was delicious, but they only gave us one bowl of rice for two people. It ended up working out because we got naan, but I expected two bowls of rice for us each. My husband enjoyed his chicken tikka masala. And the beers were cool. Cool spot in Salem.

My favorite Indian spot. They have the best food and service. Food comes out right away fresh and hot. We always get veggie samosas, veggie masala, and lamb masala. Hits every time.

My boyfriend and I ordered here around Halloween 2023 (around the time I notice another Yelper had a cockroach in her water). I love Indian food but I noticed I had some wild allergic reactions to the food here - my heart was pounding quickly, I felt flush in the face, got a mild headache, had pins and needles in my hands, got a critical notification from my blood glucose monitor... it was intense. I wanted to figure out what ingredients they put in the food so I could try to track down what gave me such a reaction, called back, and the staff REFUSED TO TELL US. They kept saying that we needed to talk to "Belinda", but when we called and tried to talk to Belinda, they changed the story and said we had to come into the restaurant to be able to talk to anybody. I am from out of town so can't come in, but really wanted to identify what ingredients made me so sick. It was a scary reaction. The person who answered the phone kept saying his name was "John Cena" and hanging up on us, over several calls. Additionally, my boyfriend and I both ordered curry via UberEats but his was green and mine was yellow, so I definitely don't think he got what he was supposed to get. For these reasons, I would not eat here again. Would update my review on the food itself if I could get the allergy information, but as it stands, service is deplorable.

We ordered the chicken tikka masala and the lamb rogen gosh with an order of roti. The chicken was flavorful, the lamb was mediocre. The food came out quickly and the service was adequate

Had been to better Indian places. I usually expect spices to slap me in the face but the flavors here was just ok and I'm suuuuper weak when it comes to spicy foods. Portions were also kinda small just because I'm used to not being able to finish everything at an Indian restaurant. The garlic naan was good!

But finally I did and boy am I happy. Very much a family affair - husband and wife who share maitre'd and server responsibilities. And other relatives in the kitchen cooking up a storm. What first grabbed my attention were the huge number of dosas they offer. Seeing any dosa on a menu at all is a rarity and so to see the wide variety they feature was amazing. I opted for the Andhra Kara Masala and it was excellent. The dosa itself crispy and warm and the condiments beautifully integrated. We opted for the mixed veggie pakoras as an appetizer on the recommendation of the owner and they were served warm and crispy. The batter was light - nothing like the thick sludge that usually adorns the deep fried nuggets of vegetable delight. The accompanying tamarind sauce was sweet and clean and the mint-cilantro suitably refreshing. Lovey got garlic naan and saag paneer. Smooth and creamy, the saag was exactly as hoped for and the garlic naan was chewy, warm and toothsome. Dessert was carrot halwa. Hard to believe carrots make such an excellent warm dessert but they do. Richly satisfying with just the right touch of sweetness. We look forward to returning and sampling the rest of the menu!

The Best North Indian Restaurant I Have Found…read more For a long time, I had been searching for an authentic North Indian restaurant that truly delivers outstanding food. One day, while I was in Salem, New Hampshire, I discovered Kashmir Indian Cuisine, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. I visited the restaurant with a group of friends, and we thoroughly enjoyed the tandoori specialties. The Chicken Tikka, Chicken Seekh Kabab, Tandoori Chicken, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti were all cooked to perfection. We also tried the Haddock Pakora as an appetizer, which was absolutely delicious. Other favorites included the Chicken Saag, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Aloo Gobi. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with authentic North Indian spices. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the warm hospitality. The owner and the entire staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about making every guest feel welcome. I was so impressed that I later hired Kashmir Indian Cuisine to cater my daughter's engagement celebration. The food was exceptional, and every guest complimented the quality, taste, and beautiful presentation. Their catering helped make our special occasion even more memorable. If you truly enjoy authentic North Indian cuisine, I highly recommend giving Kashmir Indian Cuisine a try. Make the drive just once, and I'm confident you'll enjoy the experience as much as I did. Highly recommended! Gursharan S. Gill Mr. Gill Newport Restaurant Group

I almost always sit at the bar and order the Mixed Tandoori Grill because it has consistently been generous, well-prepared, and worth the price. Unfortunately, my experience tonight was incredibly disappointing. The service at the bar was poor. Although there were other guests there--many of whom appeared to be regulars--the bartender spent most of his time chatting with them and largely ignored me. I had to ask three separate times before I finally received service. When my meal arrived, it was nowhere near the quality or portion I have come to expect. The Mixed Grill, which has always included generous portions of lamb, chicken, and shrimp, consisted almost entirely of chicken, with only about two small pieces of lamb and a single shrimp. It was a dramatic difference from what has been served for years. I politely mentioned this to the bartender, and his response was simply, "Tough times, less food." I found that response both dismissive and disappointing. If portions have been reduced, customers should not be paying the same premium prices without any acknowledgment. After years of consistently great meals, this was genuinely sad to experience. Spending nearly $75 on a meal that felt significantly diminished in both quality and value is hard to justify. Because of my long history with this restaurant, I may give it one more chance, but based on this visit, I cannot recommend it. It was a very disappointing experience from both a service and food standpoint.

An explosion of flavor that still has me drooling. I'm not exaggerating when I say I could drink a gallon of it. The garlic naan was dangerously good -- soft, fluffy, warm, and so flavorful I could have eaten pounds of it without stopping. We ordered the pork momo and my husband absolutely loved them. I wanted them so badly, but sadly I'm allergic to onions. I truly wish they'd offer a scallion-only version because scallions add beautiful flavor without overpowering like onions do -- and I would preorder them in bulk! Even with my allergy limitations (yes, I risked a bite of the samosa because I couldn't resist), this place makes my taste buds so happy. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful in guiding me toward safe options. Incredible food. Incredible flavor. Excellent service. I'll definitely be back!

I'm not exaggerating when saying this but it was all terrible. Literally so disappointing especially since we paid about $40 to not be able to take more than a few bites. The chicken curry was more like a chicken soup. The rice was soggy. The noodles were soggy and had a very weird flavor. The samosas were odd and extremely spicy. The naan tasted sour. There are good reviews on here so if they are real reviews then maybe we just tried them on a VERY bad day. I would not recommend or ever try it again.

Indian is one of my favorites and this was a fairly short drive from our hotel in Waltham. We made a reservation but that did not seem to be at all necessary. It was a Monday night and it was not particularly busy. We were seated right away. They featured a very pleasant dining room and we were able to secure a table by the front window. This was a great spot and added to our experience. The service was very good. We were attended to quickly and well cared for throughout our time there. The food came out in a timely manner well presented at the appropriate temperature. My colleague opted for the Creamy Coconut Chicken. I tried a bite of this and was favorably impressed. In addition, he had a Mango Lassi to which he also gave a thumbs-up. I had the Fish Curry, which I ordered at a medium level in terms of spice. It was very tasty as it had just the right amount of kick. He ordered the Garlic Naan to accompany his meal while I had my favorite type of Indian bread (my favorite type of bread period, really) Peshwari Naan. We were both happy with these choices. I also had a glass of cabernet which turned out to be a decent choice. Our final bill that included food, drinks, tax and tip was $86. At $43 per person in this inflationary time, I was happy enough with the value given the quality of the fare and the overall experience. I would be happy to make a return visit.
