I got to try the momos with sauce at the Brighton Farmers Market, they were delicious!

Service was excellent, food was delicious, the space was cozy, they were also kind enough to let us stay after closing (we didn't realize it & the nice man working was doing prep for the next day-- he told us he had a feeling it was a first date and we needed more time, so kind). Happened to visit here with my fam. I am Indo-American & knew what to order so we did so quickly on reaching. The food was bad, it was tasting like something because of the spices but seriously lacked in quality and cooking. The fried items like samosa/ momos were not even fried in oil but a very unhealthy cheap version of it. And the paneer they used is one of the worst quality I have tasted by far plus it was not cooked thoroughly. Same with the chicken tikka masala. The rice was hot but it was obvious that it was cheap and hard to digest. The owner did mention that the place is old and he has been doing this for years now, but all those years of profit and he can't hire a cook or keep the place non-greasy?? Got to know that the owner of the restaurant is the only cook. His staff is just like 2 students who were discussing abt their assignments when we had arrived. The owner was really nice to us but when he started talking to his staff his tone changed and he started talking in broken hindi. He was telling them to be quick and frequently calling one of them stupid/idiot again and again over something trivial. Just aggressive behaviour. I feel bad for the workers. I then went to use the restroom...which was the most grimey and uncomfortable restroom I have ever been in, couldn't touch anything! Just next to it is where they do the dishes and god the dirt! Dishes and cutlery was drowning in half-eaten food. And behind all this dirt were kept the noodles in the drainer All in all the food quality is very questionable, suspicious and downright harmful for the heart with that much of oil or whatever they are using! Hygiene so bad I wonder how they are running in the US?? The owner is a good salesman, but since I could understand what he was talking abt with his staff, he was very rude and basically spoke to them like servants. Scary behaviour. The only advantage the restaurant has is the location. Since there are no other spice - oriented cuisines around they have no competition! They are basically taking advantage of the local community's unfamiliarity with good traditional south asian cuisine. In a place like Boston or Downtown they would have no chance given their complete lack of hygiene and food quality. read more

Amazing food!!! We came around 4pm on a Friday and we were the only people there - which was awesome. The food was made to order and honestly the best meal I've had in years! The service was great - everyone is sweet and attentive. It's not super fast because it is literally made behind you - totally worth it. Left with tons of leftovers. Came in to bridges as we were craving something a little different for dinner. The food was made fresh to order so we took a walk to the beach while we waited for our food to be cooked. The space has a lot of plants which make it feel very home-y in side. The chicken tikka masala was great but I'm a fan of spice so I could have used a little more heat. The momo dumplings were delicious - highly recommend adding to your meal. read more

This restaurant is the definition of a hidden gem. It's a small place hiding over here in Winthrop, where a group of lovely people cook up homemade, ridiculously good food. I can't overstate how delicious the food is: it's among the best Nepali and Indian food I've had in Boston (or really anywhere). Don't skip the momo: the ones here have made my list of all-time favorite foods. I get them every time even if it means I'll be stuffed at the end of the meal. You just shouldn't eat here if you're in a rush--the food is made to order and it takes some time, but is always worth it. read more

This is an exciting new taste for Winthrop. A pleasant storefront across the street from the general parking lot. The restaurant features rice bowls soups grilled chicken tikka A bunch of salads all served quick also available for takeout. The staff was very willing to inform you on the food they actually gave me samples which was great. So after going to the beach and planned me and my boyfriend's friends decided to grab something fast and an expensive dinner for all of us. They said the area used to have a crust pizza but it changed now. So we ended up in a Nepali restaurant. They were almost closing but they still let us in which was really nice of them. Delicious! Couldn't have been more excited when this place opened. It's the perfect fast casual set up that lends to efficiency, not too many options to choose from, some familiar favorites along with new dishes to try. Not sure if you'll enjoy a dish? They let you try whatever! Their grilled chicken tikka is the perfect blend of robust flavor with a lighter curry sauce over steamed basmati topped generously with cilantro, curried veggies if you please, red onions and jalapenos. You can also get it even spicier with their house-made hot sauce that comes on the side. Other things I love include their vegan, vegetarian and chicken & rice samosas which are HUGE. One is plenty and two would make a tasty lunch. It comes with a sweet sauce which I personally don't love because I'm all about the spicy but I bet a blend of this with their hot sauce would be glorious. My party was greeted with warm smiles by the staff at Bridges as we sat in the cozy dining area, which was surprisingly empty. But from the constant online orders they were filling, it was apparent that Bridges was a popular neighborhood take-out spot. We soon discovered why. With one bite of the haku chwela, our eyes widened with delight at the bright flavor. Then, the lamb spinach was stewed just right and the rich flavor was so well balanced, that only grunts of appreciation could be heard between the clinks of our utensils digging in. Love this place! One of the cooks was a visiting aunt who advised of their other location in Cincinnati. If I'm ever near Boston or Cincinnati, this is a must meal! read more

I agree, wish they would bring back the rice bowls. Ordering the chicken tikka with veggies and rice is just not the same, without the lentil sauce, red onion and salsa sauce which make the rice bowl unique and something that none of the other Nepali restaurants have. Not sure why they would remove their best item but the rest of the stuff is still good it's just that the old rice bowls were breathtakingly good. Bridges was a wonderful surprise! We stopped in after spending an afternoon watching planes and the service was amazing! Sara walked us through the menu and told us what to get. And she was right! It was fantastic! They are open during Covid and seem to be practicing excellent social distancing. They also offer mobile pickup and they have restricted their menu a little. Soooo happy to have a new restaurant in Winthrop that is serving something different than the usual grub around town. We often have to drive into Boston for good ethnic good. This place totally delivers great food! Small limited menu, but quite delicious. People often feel it may be too spicy, but not all the dishes are. Even my 5 year old enjoyed it. Agree with everyone else on how GOOD the food is here. We belive they are overdue on updating their online menu but just talk to the chefs before placing your order. We've mostly done take outs and have had a couple of incorrect orders so please double check! We love their momos and noodles! I've tried a few other momo and nepalese places in Cambridge and this one is my new favorite since it's much closer to us. More spicy, more saucy, more vegetables and just overall more delicious! Love everything about Bridges. This place always has consistently great food and service. There is plenty of seating inside. I highly recommend their chicken curry or chicken Marsala rice bowls. Not the kind of place to go if you are in any rush or are extremely hungry. The service is very....relaxed. The food is really great, though. The Haku Chwela was both refreshing and filling, the lime juice gives a very bright flavor to the entrée. The Goat curry was hearty and prepared to a juicy tender perfection. I loved the Roti bread, it was different from others I've tried and it was just delicious. The owner is the chef and you can tell he both cares about and is proud of his creations. read more

If you're on the northeast side of town and are in the mood for bold flavors and heat (or just something other than well prepared Italian), you can't do much better than Bridges Nepali Cuisine. The rice bowl comes in a hearty portion, the staff is super kind and eager to give out samples, and the masala is on point. Bridges functions as a Chipotle-style rice bowl system with only a few frills (samosas, rice pudding--I think?), but it doesn't need to do much more. And the flat bread... whew treat yo'self and order some. That was excellent. I agree with another reviewer that the menu could be clearer (perhaps labels on the Plexiglas? Too mall-food-court-ish?), but with the amount of unsolicited samples we were given, many of my questions were answers, namely: can I go wrong? No, not really. The bowl was $9 and worth it. Enough for a small lunch tomorrow... or a snack later tonight. read more

Just tried this place for the first time tonight and it's really great! The menu is on the smaller side but pretty diverse with the types of combos you can create. I got the basmati rice bowl with yellow lentils and chicken tikka sauce and it was really tasty. I wanted to try the samosas, but they were out. Next time! There were only two people behind the counter and I think they did a fabulous job handling the dozen or so people that came in in the hour and a half we were there. They were courteous enough to let us know they were out of certain items and how long it'd take to cook more and they truly honored first come, first serve.
