Worst place ever to get your eyebrows done Maybe the threading part not so bad But they definitely can't shape it. I had let my eyebrows fully grow so they could have something to work with, And they ended up giving me a thin brow line, I also asked for lamination which seemed not done correctly it's already sticking out and horribly done. I've been here 3 times to get my eyebrows threaded. The first time was great, the second time was eh, the third time was the absolute worst eyebrow threading I've ever had in the 10+ years of getting my eyebrows threaded. Looked horrible, uneven, hurt terribly, and the women even caught my hair (on my head) in the thread and pulled it out. I always had gone to get threading done about a 30 minute drive from me and I thought I would try this place out since it was so much closer. This was my second time here and I honestly regret going and giving this place a second chance after my first visit. Both times I had gone were during the weekdays, usually midday and I did not catch the employee's name but she was not pleasant whatsoever and had the biggest attitude each visit (if you hate your job so much, find another or go do something else that isn't customer facing). I had multiple cuts on my upper lip after my first visit and I am not new to threading as I have been having this done for close to 20 years and never had I been cut so badly. Although I had such a bad experience, I decided to give this place a second chance because I thought the threading lady was probably having an off day. I first arrive and it appeared that the door to the salon was jammed/stuck and I was pushing on it for a couple minutes without success and the employee did not even get up to help open the door and kept telling me to push, which I was very much trying to do. It seemed like such an effort for her to get up and help a customer enter this place of business where the customer will be spending money. I then asked her if she could please be more gentle when threading because I got cut a few times and I am graduating from graduate school this weekend. She was first shocked I would accuse her and asked if I was sure it was her. I told her yes I was sure as I had only been there one other time. Rather than taking ownership, she went back and forth with me saying things like the skin needs to be stretched more, which like I mentioned above, I had been getting threading done for 2 decades and if the person threading is diligent about telling their clients where to stretch their skin there are usually no issues. I just complied and wanted to get out of there as soon as the threading was done. After threading, she handed me the mirror and I saw areas that she missed hairs but I did not want to stay there a minute longer because I saw 3 other places that I had gotten cut. She of course was just threading my upper lip at random locations without telling me to stretch the skin and expecting me to read her mind. There are so many other great businesses where the employees greet customers with a pleasant demeanor and without attitude. We are spending our hard earned money at businesses like this that don't deserve it. The part that irks me the most is that as a woman, you are purposely cutting another woman's face and disregarding her concerns. read more

Today was my second time going to this place. The first time i went, i had Erica thread my brows and i loved her work. So i came back, but Erica had a line so Rhanya did them. NEVER AGAIN! My brows do not match at all. I asked for her to clean up the shape i already had and she made them super thin. I should have known it would be bad with the way she was grunting, while working. To top it off, it burned so bad when she wiped it with the alcohol. I guess that would happen since she broke skin. I should have waited to erica, i now know better. read more

I really used to love coming here and when Samar added the new services I was like yes! I don't have to drive around the city.....until she started reprimanding the employees in front of people. The first time was when I was getting a threading service she made a passive aggressive comment like she didn't like how it turned out even though they were fine. The next time was with a nail tech who she outwardly criticized while I was being serviced. Im all for supporting small business. Im not for degrading your employees in front of costumers. Terrible experience. Would give it a negative star review. Wish I would have read the other reviews before going here. I wasn't planning on writing a review, but I have not gotten the impression that the manager is going to do anything about this, so feel it's important to let people know. After reading the reviews, it's obvious that further training for their employees are needed. I paid for a full face threading service - something I have been doing for years. I left this establishment with multiple areas of skin pulled off of my face. It was undoubtedly the most painful experience I have had and now have swelling and scans above and below my eyes. when I told the person who did my threading service that it hurt when I saw areas of swelling, she said it was likely due to a reaction. Then I saw blood welling up. She did not apologize. I spoke to the manager who was apologetic. She said she was going to do whatever she could to 'make this right.' I sent her photos of my face, she offered that I come back for a cooking mask. I was in town for an event and this was not possible. Given there was multiple areas of my face affected, I asked her what she was going to do to educate her employee about this and got no response. It is because of this that I am writing. I believe in constructive feedback and people working to improve their performance, but am not sure that this will be discussed with the staff there. Additionally, when I walked in I said I would be fine with waxing or threading, but the employee and not warmed up the wax. So, this would not have been an option for someone who walked in for this service right away. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I should have paid a few extra dollars and gone to reputable salon. The photos are not great and are also not comprehensive, but added to illustrate my concerns. read more

Just came for the grand opening today. It was very lovely. The brows i got today maybe the best i have gotten. She kept them trim and thick vs other shops who thinned my brows too much. I also got my eyebrows tinted as most services were half off. The artist reassured me about the color and it turned out great. This was the worst threading experience ever. She made it painful, and my eyebrows were not even and very very thin. I told her just a shape up and she made them pencil thin. The left brow is thicker than the other and she also shortened the width. When I was done I noticed my lower lid was BLEEDING. Yes, blood. I freaked out and asked her why she did that and she told me because I'm not used to being threaded. First off, I AM very experienced with threading. I've been going for years. And so that comment was unnecessary. I also have been to many different artists and this has never happened. I should have known not to be threaded by her because her eyebrows were not done. I think in a profession like beauty, if you don't look the part, you shouldn't represent the brand. Also, do not be fooled by the website. The website and how this place looks are entirely different. I have been to this place 3 times. I had a good experience once. I'm not going to go over the first two visits. If the third didn't happen, I would still consider going there. But after yesterday's visit, I will not be returning. When I arrived, the place was vacant save for one technician. She was yelling on the phone. She motioned for me to sit down. I figured that meant that she would be done with whoever she was yelling at and would get to work. She got to threading...and she was still on her damn phone continuing to argue. I actually had to tell her to stop and finish her conversation. If it weren't for the fact that she had already gotten started, I would have left. It was totally unprofessional. She had the gall to say that she was paying attention while on the phone. My skin was so reddened and sore afterwards, I'm sure some of the aggression she was exhibiting was being taken out on my poor eyebrows. They are also uneven. One has an arch while the other doesn't! Sure, the price doesn't sound bad, but if you're going to deal with the people I've dealt with at Love's Threading Bar, go somewhere else even if costs more. If I had written this review immediately upon leaving the establishment, I would have probably rated it, at least 3 stars. The person threading, did an okay job, cleaning up my brows, they were a bit uneven and didn't have a lot of shape, but I was just grateful that she didn't "scalp" my brows. 2 days later, not so much, I have sores underneath each eyebrow, which has never happened before. I just want to give an experience on behalf of my wife. Her experience when getting a wax they ripped her on her vagina and she had a cut. There is one short women who is just really rude for no reason at all. All customers showed be valued when waiting for them. They almost turned her down because she asked how long she should wait. Every time she come its an issue. However she does the work good but she has such a nasty attitude and I even heard her while I was in the car. A next time she went they rejected her because of their religion. They were praying and she told her to wait. As she waited she came back 20 min later saying she can't do it because they are closing after she waited. I think the owner picks and choses who she wants to be nice to. I've had my brows threaded for years and this was one of the worst experiences... eyebrows totally uneven, you can tell the person working isn't experienced in this. They went straight from being on their phone to threading my brows, no sanitizer or hand washing at all. I told them way too much was taken off and they asked if they should take more off of the other brow to fix it... how does that make sense ? I clearly indicated "leave my brows thick" and then I got some uneven mess. Never again! read more

This place is a joke! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. I bought a gift certificate for my boyfriend three months ago and each and every time he attempted to use it no one was "available" to perform a chest wax OR eyebrow shaping at this place. They told him to come back on Tuesday on Monday. He got there on time and NO ONE was there. When someone did show up he was told oh well the person that performs the chest wax would NOT BE IN. He had a chest wax at this location before and the tech was outstanding. Where she is today we have no idea. We live clear across town and he amended his work schedule just to get what he is entitled to as per the shops word and the gift certificate. Working now to get my money back.
