Delicious Rigitoni Pesto lunch special. Amazing
    Kevin S.

Nice place in Mineola to get fresh homemade pasta dishes. My first item I ordered was the Rigitoni Pesto. Delicious and I ordered during the lunch special which meant my lunch was just $12 One negative thing is a very small glass bottle of soda was $3.00. Other places you get a normal size bottle or glass with refills. Othen thank that I'll definitely be back there again.

New pasta bar in Mineola. Home made pasta, all different shapes, you pick the pasta then the sauces. The portions were good, but needed more protein besides chicken. The desserts were excellent tiramisu, torte and the cannoli all fresh and decent size. They give you bread with no butter and not enough sauce to dip it into. Ugh. Overall decent experience.

Honestly really had higher expectations and was very disappointed. I wanted to like the place because the concept reminded me of the pasta place in Brooklyn. We came in on a Sunday afternoon and we were one the first customers. It was our first time and we were unsure how to order/where to sit. Customer service was fine - they explained we order at the counter first before sitting but were nice to let us sit and look over the menu prior to ordering. We ordered the fusilli with pesto, rigatoni with funghi e tartufu, polpette (meatballs) and their special spaghettoni with spicy cherry tomatoes sauce and stracciatella $22. The cheese was great. The meat was not memorable and the pastas ... ALL three were extremely salty. We thought it was just the first bite and it would mellow out but it was the whole dish and thus the disappointment. The table next to us left around the same time we did and they also said it was very salty. Hope it was just a fluke that day and not a consistent thing ...

The staff members are very friendly but I wasn't blown away by the food. The parmigiana di melanzane was ok and very small in portion for the price. The server brought us bread to dip into the sauce which was nice. Although I liked the texture of the rigatoni and the sauce was tasty but overall a little salty. The spaghetti was fine and the sauce was fine; could have more flavor. Nothing was bad, just not good enough for me to visit again as there are so many Italian restaurants to try.

Such a cute new spot in Mineola! The food was so good, and the portions felt just right--people say it's small, but honestly, I think it's cozy. The fried artichokes were tasty (a pinch more salt wouldn't hurt), and my friend's carbonara with fettuccine had a great sauce. I went for the truffle mushroom fettuccine and loved it--the mushrooms were perfectly thin and bite-sized. The burrata salad was simple but fresh and yummy, and the rice ball was massive and super tasty. For dessert, we shared cannolis and cappuccino. The cannolis were delicious but tiny--two minis for $8 feels a little steep, but the flavor made up for it. Service was quick and friendly--food came out fast. You order right at the counter when you walk in, so I recommend grabbing a table first. The vibe reminded me of an IKEA cafeteria, but in the best, chill way possible. I'd totally go back and definitely recommend it!

We ordered take out and we were really expecting to be blown away because of all we had heard and unfortunately we were not. It was fine, pasta was yummy but the sauces were just ok. I got bolognese and friend got vodka sauce. Both were good, we liked it but nothing that would make me come back for. I'll probably it try once more to give it another shot.

The freshest pasta I've ever eaten! Came for the lunch special. You're able to choose the shape of pasta and sauce you'd like for $15 and it comes with bread too! I got the fusilli pasta with vodka sauce. You can tell it is homemade from the texture alone. The sauce was so fresh too. It has a nice ambiance, but what set this apart was the customer service. The employees were so friendly and kept checking in to see how we were doing. I will definitely be back soon!

Delicious homemade made pasta at the right price!! Nice bottle of wine and a hot latte at the end to top off 2 great meals. The bolognese and the Penne were both delicious. Very nice staff on this Saturday afternoon.

Went for the lunch special. The pasta is made fresh and you can even see an employee in the very front of the store making things fresh. The staff is very nice. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table, unless you want your order to go. It's a good portion of pasta, and the perfect amount of sauce. They also have salads and desserts. I definitely want to get back to try those!

Pastaru Pastificio, a pick-your-pasta that's cooked right in front of you joint (been in operation just under 4 months) is a warm, family-owned restaurant with friendly staff and attentive service. All the items were very tasteful and well-prepared, reflecting the care and authenticity you expect from a family-run outfit. Also items were priced appropriately priced for the quality and portion sizes. That said, was bit disappointed when they told the fresh pasta making stopped for the night (we went there at 7p) which was something I was looking forward to. Also disappointing was to learn they don't have any veggie option like primavera. Nevertheless, with few tweaks to add more veggie choices and extended fresh pasta making hours, this place could easily be a neighborhood favorite. Simone, must have been my fat finger that caused the error which I didn't even realize until you pointed out. My sincere apologies for that oversight. With respect to complimentary dessert and singing for birthday, I consider them as customary which I do not generally include in my review because i don't want customers to think my reviews are biased because of those special favors

I'll start by saying the service is great and the workers are very friendly. This is a good spot to grab a quick pasta, but I don't think it's the best pasta I've ever had. I had high expectations given that this is fresh made pasta, but I just thought it was OK. In the picture, it looks like Chef Boyardee lol. I got the paccheri alla vodka - the vodka sauce was watery and didn't cling on to the noodles. I think it also could've used more sauce. The burrata I added on was more like a mozzarella. Overall, it was just very bland. I did like the complimentary bread!

    Dry chicken thin cutlet. Yuck
    Queen B.

Not sold. I might give it another opportunity, I might not. The food I got to go was not the best when I got home. I love Italian but ordering from the app and not knowing the sauces are not the best option for first time customers. I got add on's. Which was chicken cutlet(1) meatballs (2) and shrimp(4) not a lot and the sauce was not a lot for the one that I did get with sauce, bread was hard. the location looks nice but would I try it again is the question. And to be honest I'm not sure. I threw the chicken cutlet and fettuccini in the garbage. It was horrible even if I added sauce the chicken was terrible

I was driving so I passed on the alcohol. Then we got our individual pizza set ups and a lesson. It was fun! They gave us some toppings, pepperoni, mushrooms and peppers. We made our pizzas and they took them away to be cooked. We then had a choice of salad, Caesar or house. Everyone liked the salad and the dressings. We got our pizzas back in pizza boxes so we could eat some and take some home. Then they came around with a plate of cookies! The owner came over to talk to us, she said that they were planning to have pasta and mozzarella making in the future and told us about the other events that they have. Live music, bingo etc. She was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Sweet and genuine. She also showed concern about the parking situation and offered a reimbursement for the parking garage. We declined that offer, it was only a couple of dollars for the time that we spent there. If I had to be very picky the only one suggestion that I have would be that they add some basil/ oregano/garlic/pepper to the sauce or on the table, the sauce was very plain. Other than that, everything was amazing and so much fun, well worth the price that we paid ($40 pp including gratuities) for everything that we got!

This review is based off the most recent taste of their food that my friends catered. They moved into the neighborhood and hosted a meal from Spaghettini. We tried a bunch of their food, and it did not get a better rating. The best thing I had was definitely the Italian Meatballs, which were tender and quite good. However, the sauce was a bit thin. The Chicken Francaise was pretty decent too, but nothing special. Pizzas were fine, but I did not enjoy the crust on either. Rigatoni w/ Vodka Sauce and Steamed Vegetables were average. The worst was probably the Buffalo Wings. Can't imagine the rest of their menu gets much better, so I'll stick with Taglio nearby.

I had to change plans quickly as I looked at the specials they had going on that day wow! We decided to go with the duck and the monkfish main course entrees instead. I really like how juicy and fatty the duck was very succulent and delicious yummy. It had a slightly Smokey flavor to my pallet and a slight crunch on the outside maybe it was torched or seared not sure. Whatever the case it was a great touch to the dish very tasty and juicy as well. I love the sauce and the sides were great mashed potatoes with broccoli yummy!
