After looking at some commercial real estate in the area for an upcoming business we have opening, we decided to have lunch at Vincent's and once again, we were delighted with our meal. We arrived at the restaurant shortly before their opening at 11:45am and only had to wait a few minutes. Upon entering, we were seated immediately and Paul, our server, came straight away to describe some lunch specials and take a drink order. We opted for a half dozen oysters and a half dozen clams to start and we devoured them! Fresh and served chilled, they were a positive way to start our meal. For lunch, we both ordered from the lunch specials menu for $16.95. For her it was a wrap that she had to take half home, and for me it was a pasta with bolognese sauce. Both were excellent and while we enjoyed the food, the restaurant quickly began to fill up. Within thirty minutes the tables and booths were mostly full. The old world charm of the Italian restaurant never disappoints and the music flowing throughout playing the old standards sets the mood for a pleasant experience. Great food but always busy and very loud inside. Tonight ordered takeout for their shrimp fest special (chose scampi as the preparation). We had to call in our order because this special isn't available as an option on their website. (We also ordered stuffed mushrooms, side of broccoli, baked clams, Bocourti Abruzzese.) It is so loud in there that the person who took our phone order couldn't hear the name of the person ordering, (despite repeating it multiple times) so when we picked it up they couldn't find our order immediately due to it being under the wrong name. The person on the phone also asked if we wanted mild sauce with the pasta that came with the scampi. The person ordering said out loud that he was never asked that for scampi before, then said I guess mild? It turns out the pasta that came with the scampi was served with mild RED sauce. We only waited about 5 minutes on a Friday night... surprisingly quick! You can't go to a clam bar without ordering clams!!! Raw Clams: Fresh, large, and served with cocktail sauce and horseradish. Can't go wrong! Baked Clams: A must order! The breading was flavorful, and had the perfect crispy crunch. Mussels in White Wine Sauce: Generous portion with fresh mussels. The white wine sauce was rich, buttery, and perfect for dipping bread. Seafood Salad: My favorite was the calamari. It was perfectly tender with a bouncy texture, not rubbery/chewy. It also came with shrimp, scallops, mussels, and large crunchy croutons. Vincent's Classic Combination: We chose the fried calamari and fried shrimp. The breading was light, crispy, and not oily. Came here for Happy Hour on 5/22/26-the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend. Ordered steamed calamari and received a complimentary bread basket. The portion was large for both, but the calamari was overpriced at $28.90, and I only got rings--none of my beloved tentacles! I sat at the bar, where Jillian was the bartender. I was blown away by her service because she made me an off menu Old Fashioned with Angel's Envy, a premium Bourbon, for a Happy Hour price--$9.95. I always forget about this place. Maybe because it's old school Italian food and the hype now is modern fancy Italian. This place is not divey, it is a nice restaurant. We were there celebrating a friend's birthday. They did a really great job of serving everyone and the food was pretty good. The place was packed but our server John made sure we were attended to. When we first arrived the hostess did say we should wait to sit until the majority of the party arrived as the 2 hour limit clock starts upon sitting down. Only thing is sometimes some dishes can be salty but probably because we generally don't eat a lot of salt in our food. We've catered from here several times during holidays and they're easy to order. The food is always good and family always compliment it. Came in for the lunch special and arrived just before four in the afternoon. Sergio was my server, he started me off with a massive loaf with oil with roasted garlic, pepper, salt, pepper and basil. Now, usually when I go to a restaurant, they just give you some oil and pepper, but they gave you the works of all the seasonings which was very nice and tasteful. They also gave me sausage marinara little bites complementary of the chef. They were very good. The food came out so quick. I got the eggplant and a side of linguine. I absolutely loved the eggplant. It was so delicious and huge portion, I hardly made a dent in my food. I'd recommend if you're getting one of the pastas to get it with oil if you opt for the eggplant as well because then you can also dip your pasta in the marinara sauce of the eggplant and it is so delicious. They do a lunch special from 11 AM to 4 PM. It's only $16.95 with a variety of choices. I would've recommend doing the entrée because it comes with your choice of a side pasta or soup and it's a huge portion. While eating, I spilt some oil on my pants and Sergio was very nice to bring me not only a club soda, but some extra napkins prepped to clean up an oil spill and even a tip to best get it out. Lastly, he surprised me with a mini chocolate mousse with whipped cream and chocolate chips on top he said courtesy of Nicky (pardon if I'm spelling the name wrong). The dessert was the icing on the cake. To be honest, I was very full already from the rest of the food but after a couple bites, it was too good to resist. I practically licked it clean. Not sure why this place doesn't overall have five stars, but I wouldn't hesitate to check this place out if I were you. The waiter Sergio was very accommodating and attentive. For example, giving me a new napkin without me asking when I had used mine up. Gave me the Italian hospitality, which was absolutely wonderful. He was very good with the other tables around me as well, even being extra helpful with the elderly at the table next to me. It seemed like all the servers around me were extremely fast, moving like there was no tomorrow. Seems like a very family oriented business because Sergio's son assisted with me packing my leftovers. My total came out to less than $19 which is absolutely insane for the amount of food I got and the impeccable service. This restaurant is huge too, lots to look at. They also have huge TVs playing classical well know Italian songs and music videos. Friendly atmosphere where tables were talking to each other, smiling at the server. And if you join their mailing list, you'll receive Free birthday jar of sauce and a free house appetizer in your next visit. This looks like the place to come for your birthday cause there were a couple families who were celebrating here and the staff does a little birthday chant. Tried Vincent's Clam Bar tonight after a long break, and it immediately earned a spot in our regular rotation. We arrived just before 7:00 pm, and the place was already packed--buzzing with energy and a lively, classic Italian restaurant atmosphere. We ordered the paccheri alla spicy vodka and the shrimp & calamari combination parmigiana over linguine. Both dishes were hearty, rich, and generously portioned--we each had leftovers (and it seemed like most tables around us did too!). They start you off with a generous round of warm, complimentary bread, paired with olive oil and fresh herbs for dipping--such a thoughtful touch and always appreciated. Service was excellent. Our server, Anthony G., was friendly, attentive, and clearly very experienced. He has a warm, welcoming demeanor and stayed on top of everything throughout the meal--checking in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive. He mentioned he's only been there a few months, but with over 30 years in the restaurant industry, it truly shows in his effortless, professional service. The only downside is that the tables are set quite close together--you can easily hear neighboring conversations--so it's not the most intimate setting. Somehow my previous review for Vincent's has disappeared. I'll start with the rustic decor with ol world table and chairs, pictures on the wall of celebrities, a little dark for me. Everything I've ordered here in the past has not disappointed me. The chicken Marsala is good with a lil sweetness. Caesar salad is just that, nothing different. Shrimp Scampi is really good for my tastebuds. Sausage and peppers complimentary sliders were great. I wasn't too fond of the eggplant bruschetta ( not a fan of eggplant). Brought us what we wanted before we asked for it, that's rare nowadays. Guided us through the menu like a conductor. Apps and meals arrived hot, well-seasoned and delicious.!!! Every dish that arrived the teenager exclaimed it was the BEST that she'd ever had, and we all agreed. And the kitchen operates like a well-oiled machine, all dishes arrived timely and oversized. We spent days talking about the shrimp scampi, Bocourti Avruzzese and the lobster kiss. The Bocourti abruzzese with gnocchi and shrimp was divine. I had the most amazing Arnold Palmer I've ever had, with fresh lemon juice!!! And when you see the tiramisu you will fall over!!!! Feds 3 easily and is so good!!! It's long overdue for me to update my review from a decade ago. We've been back several times since then, and I have to say--the service has definitely improved. Thankfully, we also haven't experienced that unfortunate incident again. A solid go-to order here is the chicken marsala on linguine. The sauce is very tasty and downright delicious. My kids are usually not mushroom lovers at all, but this dish is the exception--they actually enjoyed it. That alone says a lot. Another favorite is the calamari parmigiana on linguine with a mildly spicy sauce. The sauce has a subtle sweetness to it and, even though it's tomato-based, it's much less acidic than usual. The way they coat the calamari is so good that the combination of the crispy calamari and the sauce is absolute heaven. My husband takes his sweet time savoring this dish. He usually shares... but this is the one meal where he wants it all to himself. We also ordered the penne alla vodka with grilled shrimp, which was tasty in its own right, but honestly, it got a bit overshadowed by the other two dishes. Now... ugh. I take it back. Knocking off one star from what would've been a solid 5-star review. Literally just as we finished our meal, the table was cleared and I was ready to order dessert--so no, we weren't camping or lingering at the table at all--the waiter respectfully asked if we could move because a larger group was coming and they needed our table. Seriously. If it weren't for the fact that we were genuinely happy with our meal--and that the waiter truly did ask very nicely--I would have been pretty upset. But still... as I'm writing this, watching them reset the table we were just sitting at while I'm now waiting for dessert elsewhere, it's making me slightly more annoyed. Ugh. Food: excellent Service: improved, but that ending knocked it down a notch Overall, still a good experience... just not a perfect one. **Update:** They didn't charge us for the brownie sundae dessert we ordered and enjoyed at the new table, which we truly appreciated. We always start with the calamari with medium sauce, and either the mussels in white sauce or the baked clams. I've never been a fan of red sauce or pasta in general, so I always order the Abruzzese. I think it's the sleeper hit on the menu. For dinner we get the chocolate chip bread pudding to go and easily get 4-5 portions out of it. The waiters and busboys are always quick and courteous. Over the years, I've been to Vincent's numerous times to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. When you dine here, you always know what to expect as they consistently offer great food and service. The restaurant is very large with plenty of seating, but they're always crowded even on week nights. Reservations are highly recommended. I had the Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana the last time I ate here. The portion was huge, and I had enough to eat at home for the next two days. The Fried Zucchini and the Oversized Garlic Knots were great appetizers. For dessert, the Creme Brulee is a great choice since it's cool to see it getting fired right on the table. The Napoleon is also another great choice. While visiting Long Island everyone we asked about good Italian food recommended this place and so we figured we would try it. The restaurant itself is amazing, from the outside you would never guess who cool the interior is. We came on a busy night and didn't want to wait for a table so we sat at the bar. The one thing I hated was that the tv was so loud that you couldn't hear the bartender when ordering and three separate customers asked them to turn it down and they wouldn't. Unfortunately neither of us liked our meals and opted not to take any of our left overs home. The chicken parm was soggy and the meat had tons of fatty tendons which turned my stomach instantly and I disliked their sauce as well. Everything tasted bland even the lobster ravioli somehow had no flavor. Unfortunately for us this place was not worth the hype at all. But the place was absolutely packed with people. I made a reservation for my fiance & I on a Friday night (highly recommended as wait times were about 25 mins for walk ins). We ordered the linguine with clam sauce & the chicken parm with a side of penne pasta. The linguine with clams had good flavor and a hefty amount of clams, but it definitely needed a good pinch of salt. The dish was just kind of bland. When we heated the leftovers the next day, this was so much better with salt. The chicken parm was the thing that threw us off the most. We were a bit puzzled by how sweet the marinara sauce was. I enjoy a bit of sugar in my sauce here & there, but this was bordering on too sweet for a savory dish. One things for sure though - generous portions seems to be the theme at Vincent's. This place was great! In Garden City for a quick work trip and found this spot not far from my hotel. At 4 pm on a chilly Sunday this place was jumping. I found a seat at the bar, ordered the Vincent Old Fashion and the Mulberry Street Pizza. They offer a bread service while your food was being prepped and the vibe at the bar was nice. When they finally arrived we waited maybe 5 to 10 mins and they had a table for us under the big tv screen. Sergio came by and he offered nice choices for wines. He recommended the Juggernaut Cab, and the Barolo! We went with the cab and it was nice. He told us about the best baked clams and we went with it. It was really good and a good amount of under sauce of garlic!! Sergio had many tables and he was quite busy but we were not in any rush and it worked out well. We ordered Chicken Parm with rigatoni, Fruition di Mare, and the Shrimp scampy; all were quite good. I took some of the chicken parm to friends afterwards and they enjoyed. The chicken was nice and tender. For dessert we got the tiramisu and the Napolean. Both were nice sized desserts and we took them down!!! All in all, if you are not in a rush, but want friendly service and great food, I highly recommend Vincent's Clam Bar in Csrle Place. It gets crowded, the tables are almost on top of each other but the food makes up for it! Definitely go!!! read more

The food, the service and the company. The baked clams were on point. The calamari was light and crispy. Get a side of the spicy sauce it was excellent. The meat balls were so good as well as the gnocchi bolognese. Ask for Brian Portillo. One of the best waiters I have seen in a while. Enjoy. read more

Never Thought I'd Say That About Vincent's I've been to Vincent's Clam Bar probably 100 times and have never been truly disappointed until tonight. I changed up my usual order and got the Grandma Sauce Special with meatballs, sausage, and short ribs. The short rib was OK, the sausage was average, but the meatball was absolutely terrible -- one of the worst-tasting things I've been served in a restaurant in a long time. I don't know if it was bad meat, bad seasoning, or what, but something tasted seriously wrong. The homemade mozzarella was also underwhelming and seemed under-fried. My son's chicken parm was just OK. The garlic knot was good, as usual. What really bothered me was the response. The server asked how everything was, I told him directly that the meatballs were terrible, and all I got was, "Oh, I'm sorry about that." No manager. No replacement. Nothing removed from the bill. Nobody even seemed interested in checking with the kitchen to make sure they weren't serving the same bad meatballs to other customers. Restaurants have bad nights. What matters is how they handle them. Vincent's didn't handle this one well at all. read more

This place is solid. It looks like a hole in the wall restaurant from the outside but inside it takes u to a whole new world. It's like being inside a festive pub like vibe(not a pub but a restaurant) and the waiters and the staff just know what they are doing. There is always a long line for dine in as well as take out but it's so smooth. If you don't mind good Italian food in a loud hectic restaurant for that Italian family style festive mood this is the place. The food portions are huge and their bread is piping hot. Fantastic Resteraunt, this place is a amazing Italian American restaurant to eat at. There servings sizes are huge, their prices are incredibly affordable and their service is unmatched. The ambiance gives an Old School New York Italian neighborhood. They give a bread service of this freshly baked bread with olive oil, absolutely delicious, I strongly recommend the calamari is a amazing appetizer to start with, I personally am a sucker for the seafood salad, it's a light yet filling dish with multiple types of seafood. For pasta you can't go wrong with any of their options but my personal favorite is the penne vodka with a chicken cutlet. Their desserts are delicious and just as big as the entree. I recommend getting the caramel latte and the tiramisu & or brownie. The crème brûlée is really fun. They bring out a torch and light it up in-front of you.
