Old Fashioned made with Angel's Envy

Came here for Happy Hour on 5/22/26-the Friday before Memorial Day Weekend. Ordered steamed calamari and received a complimentary bread basket. The portion was large for both, but the calamari was overpriced at $28.90, and I only got rings--none of my beloved tentacles! I sat at the bar, where Jillian was the bartender. I was blown away by her service because she made me an off menu Old Fashioned with Angel's Envy, a premium Bourbon, for a Happy Hour price--$9.95. This is a good place to go for Happy Hour, which is only on Fridays. I love the eclectic crowd. Everybody from all walks of life comes here to eat. There was no wait for a seat at the bar around 4:30 pm. The cutlery was spotless, and I did not feel rushed There is ample parking, and it shares the same strip mall with Planet Fitness.

Came in for the lunch special and arrived just before four in the afternoon. Sergio was my server, he started me off with a massive loaf with oil with roasted garlic, pepper, salt, pepper and basil. Now, usually when I go to a restaurant, they just give you some oil and pepper, but they gave you the works of all the seasonings which was very nice and tasteful. They also gave me sausage marinara little bites complementary of the chef. They were very good. The food came out so quick. I got the eggplant and a side of linguine. I absolutely loved the eggplant. It was so delicious and huge portion, I hardly made a dent in my food. I'd recommend if you're getting one of the pastas to get it with oil if you opt for the eggplant as well because then you can also dip your pasta in the marinara sauce of the eggplant and it is so delicious. They do a lunch special from 11 AM to 4 PM. It's only $16.95 with a variety of choices. I would've recommend doing the entrée because it comes with your choice of a side pasta or soup and it's a huge portion. While eating, I spilt some oil on my pants and Sergio was very nice to bring me not only a club soda, but some extra napkins prepped to clean up an oil spill and even a tip to best get it out. Lastly, he surprised me with a mini chocolate mousse with whipped cream and chocolate chips on top he said courtesy of Nicky (pardon if I'm spelling the name wrong). The dessert was the icing on the cake. To be honest, I was very full already from the rest of the food but after a couple bites, it was too good to resist. I practically licked it clean. Not sure why this place doesn't overall have five stars, but I wouldn't hesitate to check this place out if I were you. The waiter Sergio was very accommodating and attentive. For example, giving me a new napkin without me asking when I had used mine up. Gave me the Italian hospitality, which was absolutely wonderful. He was very good with the other tables around me as well, even being extra helpful with the elderly at the table next to me. It seemed like all the servers around me were extremely fast, moving like there was no tomorrow. Seems like a very family oriented business because Sergio's son assisted with me packing my leftovers. My total came out to less than $19 which is absolutely insane for the amount of food I got and the impeccable service. This restaurant is huge too, lots to look at. They also have huge TVs playing classical well know Italian songs and music videos. Friendly atmosphere where tables were talking to each other, smiling at the server. And if you join their mailing list, you'll receive Free birthday jar of sauce and a free house appetizer in your next visit. This looks like the place to come for your birthday cause there were a couple families who were celebrating here and the staff does a little birthday chant. Such a shame I dont live in this area because I'd definitely come back. They seem like they really care about their customers. Even their walls are covered with photos of their staff and a variety of celebrities who have dined at their restaurant. I would definitely recommend Sergio as a server, he'll take great care of you and your table. Thanks so much Vincent's Clam Bar!

Tried Vincent's Clam Bar tonight after a long break, and it immediately earned a spot in our regular rotation. We arrived just before 7:00 pm, and the place was already packed--buzzing with energy and a lively, classic Italian restaurant atmosphere. We ordered the paccheri alla spicy vodka and the shrimp & calamari combination parmigiana over linguine. Both dishes were hearty, rich, and generously portioned--we each had leftovers (and it seemed like most tables around us did too!). They start you off with a generous round of warm, complimentary bread, paired with olive oil and fresh herbs for dipping--such a thoughtful touch and always appreciated. Service was excellent. Our server, Anthony G., was friendly, attentive, and clearly very experienced. He has a warm, welcoming demeanor and stayed on top of everything throughout the meal--checking in at just the right moments without ever being intrusive. He mentioned he's only been there a few months, but with over 30 years in the restaurant industry, it truly shows in his effortless, professional service. The only downside is that the tables are set quite close together--you can easily hear neighboring conversations--so it's not the most intimate setting. That said, if you're looking for delicious, comforting Italian food and standout service, this place is a winner. We'll definitely be back--next time, we'll just come a little earlier.

Vincent's Clam Bar was absolutely amazing! We ordered the Tour of Italy, Chicken Marsala, and the stuffed chicken ravioli, and every dish was packed with flavor. The espresso martini was hands down the best I've ever had! The food, drinks, and service made for such a great dining experience. I can't wait to come back!

Somehow my previous review for Vincent's has disappeared. I'll start with the rustic decor with ol world table and chairs, pictures on the wall of celebrities, a little dark for me. Everything I've ordered here in the past has not disappointed me. The chicken Marsala is good with a lil sweetness. Caesar salad is just that, nothing different. Shrimp Scampi is really good for my tastebuds. Sausage and peppers complimentary sliders were great. I wasn't too fond of the eggplant bruschetta ( not a fan of eggplant). The garlic knot is just their regular bread with cheese and garlic poured over it, I like small garlic knots. The waiters are always on point.

Best dish on the menu. Iykyk.

Anytime my husband asks me where I want to go for dinner, I say Vincent's. It's reliably delicious every time. We always start with the calamari with medium sauce, and either the mussels in white sauce or the baked clams. I've never been a fan of red sauce or pasta in general, so I always order the Abruzzese. I think it's the sleeper hit on the menu. For dinner we get the chocolate chip bread pudding to go and easily get 4-5 portions out of it. The waiters and busboys are always quick and courteous. I love the atmosphere as well, it's giving its campy in the best way. Definitely make a reservation, especially if you plan to go for dinner and/or on a weekend. The wait time can get lengthy without one.

I DON'T WANT TO WRITE THIS, BUT I MUST. Do you have that one person in your family or group of friends who's always really hard to please, a picky eater, that one individual who you all talk about behind their back bc it's hard to pick a place they won't complain about afterwards?? WELL I DO, a TEENAGER, and her assessment of Vincent's is it's now her FAVORITE RESTAURANT!!!! For a place established in 1904 I could write a book about what they're known for and what ppl mention most but I'm going to just give you our experience. Made a 9pm reservation on a busy Saturday night, arrived at 8:55pm and were seated within 10 minutes. Hostesses were welcoming. Our server LOUIS S. is top notch. Brought us what we wanted before we asked for it, that's rare nowadays. Guided us through the menu like a conductor. Apps and meals arrived hot, well-seasoned and delicious.!!! Every dish that arrived the teenager exclaimed it was the BEST that she'd ever had, and we all agreed. And the kitchen operates like a well-oiled machine, all dishes arrived timely and oversized. We spent days talking about the shrimp scampi, Bocourti Avruzzese and the lobster kiss. The Bocourti abruzzese with gnocchi and shrimp was divine. I had the most amazing Arnold Palmer I've ever had, with fresh lemon juice!!! And when you see the tiramisu you will fall over!!!! Feds 3 easily and is so good!!! Food 10/10 Service 10/10 LOUIS S. 20/10 NOISE LEVEL 7.5/10 FAMILY TIME SPENT TOGETHER OVER AMAZING FOOD AND FELLOW DINERS=PRICELESS EVERYONE WILL FIND SOMETHING THEY'RE GONNA LOVE HERE!!!! We're already planning our next visit!!!!

Love the food here. We've been here for many years and the food has always been consistently good! Only thing is sometimes some dishes can be salty but probably because we generally don't eat a lot of salt in our food. We've catered from here several times during holidays and they're easy to order. The food is always good and family always compliment it. Today we've tried the Margherita pizza, pasta with Sunday sauce, and of course the linguini with clam sauce. The linguini with clam sauce is absolute must try. We've also tried fried ravioli & calamari appetizers. Both were great. We've had money bags , chicken Marsala, pasta with alfredo sauce etc and all were great. ,

It's long overdue for me to update my review from a decade ago. We've been back several times since then, and I have to say--the service has definitely improved. Thankfully, we also haven't experienced that unfortunate incident again. A solid go-to order here is the chicken marsala on linguine. The sauce is very tasty and downright delicious. My kids are usually not mushroom lovers at all, but this dish is the exception--they actually enjoyed it. That alone says a lot. Another favorite is the calamari parmigiana on linguine with a mildly spicy sauce. The sauce has a subtle sweetness to it and, even though it's tomato-based, it's much less acidic than usual. The way they coat the calamari is so good that the combination of the crispy calamari and the sauce is absolute heaven. My husband takes his sweet time savoring this dish. He usually shares... but this is the one meal where he wants it all to himself. We also ordered the penne alla vodka with grilled shrimp, which was tasty in its own right, but honestly, it got a bit overshadowed by the other two dishes. Now... ugh. I take it back. Knocking off one star from what would've been a solid 5-star review. Literally just as we finished our meal, the table was cleared and I was ready to order dessert--so no, we weren't camping or lingering at the table at all--the waiter respectfully asked if we could move because a larger group was coming and they needed our table. Seriously. If it weren't for the fact that we were genuinely happy with our meal--and that the waiter truly did ask very nicely--I would have been pretty upset. But still... as I'm writing this, watching them reset the table we were just sitting at while I'm now waiting for dessert elsewhere, it's making me slightly more annoyed. Ugh. Food: excellent Service: improved, but that ending knocked it down a notch Overall, still a good experience... just not a perfect one. **Update:** They didn't charge us for the brownie sundae dessert we ordered and enjoyed at the new table, which we truly appreciated. Thank you for the thoughtful gesture--it definitely helped soften the situation. That said, next time I do hope they refrain from moving diners when they aren't lingering and are actually fast eaters who simply want to enjoy their meal and dessert in peace. We made the trek here from Queens, so it's not exactly around the corner for us. A little consideration goes a long way, especially for guests who are already wrapping up and planning to order dessert.

Been going here since I was a kid! Now 40 years later it's still got some of the best food on the island! Large portions and great service. The riceballs and meatballs are a must have! Be sure to make a reservation! We ordered dessert to go and they threw in extra.

I absolutely loved Vincent's! I cannot believe this was my first time here but it's definitely not my last. Vincents has an incredible selection of various Italian entrees. The espresso martini was 10/10 and the fried mozzarella was to die for. For my entree, i did money bags with chicken cutlet in vodka sauce. They let me sub for extra spicy vodka sauce that made it even better. We had no room for dessert, but we still needed to end with a sweet treat. Highly recommend, service is great , making reservations is definitely recommended!

Hard to get into this place without reservations so plan accordingly; we made it happen mid-week for lunch. The service was impeccable- easy to see why it's always packed evenings and weekends. Got seated with rapid pace; waters to the table came almost instantly. Waiter did a great intro and covered all the specials. He even answered any questions we had about the menu as well as covered the portion sizes. Everything about this place was fantastic - decor was old school but classy. Ambiance was comfortable but can likely be elegant on evenings. The food was next level - the portions were huge and quality was amazing. The menu is so extensive and they can even customize a dish if you wanted to change out anything. Overall - this place is a must try but make sure to reserve and come hungry.

Over the years, I've been to Vincent's numerous times to celebrate birthdays and other special occasions. When you dine here, you always know what to expect as they consistently offer great food and service. The restaurant is very large with plenty of seating, but they're always crowded even on week nights. Reservations are highly recommended. I had the Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana the last time I ate here. The portion was huge, and I had enough to eat at home for the next two days. The Fried Zucchini and the Oversized Garlic Knots were great appetizers. For dessert, the Creme Brulee is a great choice since it's cool to see it getting fired right on the table. The Napoleon is also another great choice. The Bavarian cream that they use is delicious.

It was meat ravioli, and they were very small and petite. The broth was piping hot and lacked a little flavor. I added pepper and grated cheese, which helped it a lot. The waiter recommended their zingarra chicken. And my partner had ravioli which is their specialty my partner is a ravioli aficionado and she didn't take the leftovers home which really told me something. The chicken I had was delightful hot tasty delicious and no real complaints here. I ordered a soda. It was four dollars and no free refills, quite disappointing All in all the food was at four but then I got the bill for a broth soup two entrées and a soda it was $105. Clearly this is why people can't go out for dinner anymore $105 for 10 raviolis and a chicken breast wow I thought food cost had to be 1/3 of the price $34 for a chicken cutlet that chicken cutlet wasn't $10. All the food was delicious, from the complimentary bread to their homemade Ravioli. We ordered the Clams Oreganata, Pan Fried Calamari, Pollo Zingarella which comes with a choice of Pasta or Broccoli, Lobster Ravioli, Meat Ravioli, and Duck Ravioli. The manager mentioned that the Pollo Zingarella and the Duck Ravioli were their best dishes. I definitely agree with the Pollo Zingarella, especially when you drench it with the sauce since it elicits a very creamy and rich mushroom and chicken flavor. However, I really enjoyed the Lobster Ravioli since it had a unique sweet and seafood flavor which stood out from the rest. The Duck Ravioli had a subtle gaminess and paired well with the Alfredo sauce. The Meat Ravioli and Fried Calamari both tasted basic but still great. My only gripe is that it's incredibly hard to hear in the restaurant and literally all the servers were annoyed that we were asking them to repeat what they said, which I feel they should be more understanding being in the restaurant and service business. Also, never did I feel so pressured in ordering drinks and dessert from a restaurant before. Hopefully this doesn't deter you from trying their food.

I also grabbed another piece of bread with that. But again we won't talk about that. We have two proteins. One was Chicken Francese. It was very tender. A light crisp on the outside in a nice flavorful sauce. The other protein was Grilled Salmon in a butter herb sauce. I only had a few bites of salmon. I rarely eat salmon out because I don't know how it's sourced. The flavor was fine however. For dessert, they had fruit and a couple of cakes. One cake served was Gigi's Butter Cake. I think they put some crack in it because it is addictive. Very rich, buttery and served warm! I ate one there and took one home. Shhhhhhhh The other cake was New York style cheesecake. I can't tell you how that tasted because I also took that slice home. I have more cake than I can eat at the moment. If you want some let me know

Came here on Mother's Day after making reservations a week in advance. When I checked the app to…read moreconfirm my reservation, it was gone. I thought I was losing my mind until I checked my text messages and saw they sent a confirmation text asking me to press 1 to confirm or 2 to cancel. I pressed 1 and somehow the system canceled my reservation. I honestly think it's crazy for a restaurant to automatically cancel a reservation because someone doesn't respond to a text right away. I was sleeping and didn't even see it until about an hour and a half later. Huge turn off. I called and thankfully they added me back, but it definitely started the experience off wrong. Once we arrived, we checked in and sat at the bar while waiting for our table. The bartender took about 25 minutes just to acknowledge me and take my drink order, which was disappointing. When we finally got seated, I realized they were only offering a prix-fixe family-style menu for Mother's Day. I understand limited menus on holidays, but I think each guest should still have the option to choose their own entrée because not everyone likes the same foods. I asked if we could add an extra appetizer, and our waitress who was very nice checked with the manager and they accommodated us. The issue was they didn't bring the extra appetizer out until after the entrées came. At that point it made no sense, and when I asked if they could remove it from the bill, they wouldn't accommodate that. Now for the food: Chicken Parmesan: slightly burnt and lacked flavor Beef medallions: needed salt and seasoning Lasagna: way too much ricotta cheese Shrimp scampi: honestly tasted like a 3-year-old made it -- just noodles and barely seasoned shrimp with almost no butter sauce Not everything was bad though: The bread was amazing Calamari was decent Meatballs were really good Cheesecake was amazing Sangria was very good and definitely gave me a little buzz The table service outside of the bar was actually great, and the portion sizes were generous. Ambiance was ok, bar just looked messy. They probably should have more than one bartender at a busy restaurant like this. Especially on Mother's Day. Overall, I probably wouldn't return unless I specifically wanted the meatballs and sangria.

Entering the restaurant, you get a feel of Italy with all the Italian artworks depicting scenes of Italy. The menu encompasses a broad range of delicacies including a great assortment of appetizers, numerous panini's, hero's, pizza, salads burgers, etc, but the stars of our dining experience were the food entrees. We began our dining experience munching on a scrumptious basket of garlic bread. I've found, over my many years of dining, that restaurants that serve a great bread basket always follow it up with great food, and this was Mauro. After reviewing a litany of appetizer items, we chose absolutely delicious artichokes oreganata. We followed the appetizer with an order of luscious eggplant parmigiana along with perfectly cooked al dente rigatoni. We also ordered gnocchi with a sublime pomodoro sauce. The sauce was not something typically seen, in as much it contained a nice quantity of onions. For dessert we had a debate between chocolate cake or a cannoli, keeping in mind that the restaurant is owned by a great bakery. Our waitress, Samantha (Sam) who was outstanding throughout, said it's a tossup. We finally agreed on the chocolate cake. When the dessert arrived, to our delight, there was an order of light and very tasty chocolate cake, and a creamy & crispy freshly filled cannoli, compliments of Samantha. In summary, we had an excellent meal coupled with outstanding service what more can you ask for in a restaurant? If possible, I recommend weekday dining. I was told it can busier on the weekend, and I would think noisy. Mangia!

You can choose to seat yourself and enjoy your meal, or be seated and have them take your order. Feeling a bit advantageous I just happened to come across the best pizza , EVER!…read more LOUIE'S PIZZERIA is a phenomenon! It really stands out. Just going to get a bite to eat after leaving New Balance. My plus one says, there is a pizza shop around here. We find Louie's, walk in, the guy warming the pizza was very helpful explaining the variety of pizza on display. I got the broccoli and chicken slice and a sausage and pepper slice. The broccoli slice seemed like it was going to fall apart but it held together very well, it was also very light in weight but fluffy as can be. I was amazed but found it was the least of the two. Still enjoyable, I finished it. The sausage and peppers, AMAZINGLY delicious! Just enough sauce to keep it moist. Also not a very heavy slice yet really tasty. I found that it had just enough gravy, sausage, and peppers. This place is very upscale but casual dining is acceptable. I'm very glad I found this pizza place that offers dining in family style or take out. Inspire more, Yelp more!
