Filthy. Dirty. Nasty. This place is so unkept inside. When I came in for my appointment last Sunday, I could smell that the nail salon had not been cleaned at all. At the nail stations, everything I touched was filthy. Then KK, a nail technician who has done my nails once before, examined my still in good condition, just grown out nails, and said how long since you been here? I said one month. Then she says to me, how am I supposed to make money if you only come once a month? I was STUNNED by her less than professional comment towards me. She then moved me out of her chair for another client. Told me to have my feet done first by my actual nail technician, Victory, who I followed there from another nail salon. This my second visit and I keep wondering why Victory can't do my full mani/pedi service like before?? No matter how many times I ask this, everyone plays crazy and as though they do not understand my request, and can push me around and do anything they want to me as a paying customer. The deluxe pedicure was fine, Victory also the consummate professional. Very attentive. Then KK enters the picture again to take off my old tips. I requested tips again, but she said no, you own nails long enough now, switch to gel. I reluctantly agreed. Once my pedicure was done, she called me over to her station and started to work on my gel manicure. She pulled our a little jar and what looked like paint brushes the likes of which I have never seen. Then one fingernail at a time she paints on this gel, then ask me to cure each one in the gel manicure machine. Immediately I feel my nail BURNING. I snatched my hand out of the machine, said what is going on!! Why are my nails burning!? She calmly says, that's just the gel setting. I should have stopped her right then and there, but I allowed her to finish although the pain was AWFUL. I should have demanded she STOP. But sadly I sat through and paid for the most PAINFUL gel manicure I have ever experienced!! I paid $173 for this mani/pedi, far too much to not be TOTALLY satisfied. Once I got home, I looked up why my nails were BURNING and discovered this...HEAT SPIKES!! I had an amazing experience at this nail salon! The dip nails I got are flawless -- the color is vibrant, and they feel so sturdy. We made an appointment for one gel structured manicure and one pedicure for 12PM and when we got there, we were not seated until 12:30 and waited until 12:50 to get up and leave because we were not yet serviced. Hands down one of the best salons in Boston! The owner KK also owns 'Nail'd It' in Southie which is also a great salon, that's where I started. I am extremely picky and only like to go to one person every time. This is one of the only salons that I actually will go to anybody because they all do a really great job! I had my last set on for over 3 weeks. I only have to get them redone because they grow out. They never break or pull up for the bottom, always very strong and look thin. I don't do designs myself but my friends that come here do and they say the designs are the best. Highly recommend! Best to make an apt! read more

So I had booked an eye lash appointment as well as 2 nail appointments. When I walked in I was immediately greeted but then made to feel very uncomfortable. Before we even got in the back room to do my lashes she was asking me was I from around the area and how would I be paying. I replied I live in Brookeline, where are you from? And I'll be paying with cash would you like that upfront ? Would that make you feel better about all of this? She replied no no, as she should have. I brought a friend with me who the other nail appointment was for. She says that her experience was not that great either. She said the people who work there were having conversations that weren't in English so she couldn't understand and felt that it was really rude and very unprofessional. And her nails didn't come out all that great one of her nails had a big divet in it. Now my eyelashes took the lady close to 3hrs to do, they didn't come out at all how I had explained or showed her. She kept asking if I was OK the way I was laying was pretty uncomfortable and my leg kept jumping because of how long I was laying in that one position. At one point she dripped glue in my eye and then my eye got glued together she took the tweezer and pulled the glue off my eye watered for the entire rest of the time she kept putting the little fan on it but it wasn't helping. My eye hurt really bad and I couldn't get it to stop watering she finally finished and told me remember no water on eyelashes for 24hrs. I said remember what cause she hadn't gone over any instructions in the first place and knew this was my first time getting my eyelashes done ever. Finally I was being escorted out of the room and my friend came running over and said is everything alright? She said you don't look to thrilled do you like them. I told her no I'm not happy with how they came out and my eye hurts badly. She said it was pretty red. The lady asked if I was ready to get my nails done, I said no I'm not going to do that today not after how long this took, I didn't want to sit in that salon for another 5mins never mind another 1.5hrs. So she said you pay cash right, I said yes her nails as well. I was supposed to get 50$ off my eyelash service for being a new customer but that didn't happen. I ended up paying $360 for my eyelashes a fullest and a fullest of nails plus I still gave a tip just because I didn't want to be rude which I gave $50 for the eyelash lady and $30 for the nail tech. So altogether I spent $440 and wasn't the least bit satisfied. It's crazy to me but I felt like the eyelash lady really wasn't certified to be doing my eyelashes the amount of time it took and how she handled my eye being stuck together was crazy to me and not professional at all. I wouldn't recommend Pastel Nail Studio on 11 W Broadway to anyone looking for eyelashes or nails. Was it clean sure but that's about all I can say positive about this place at least I didn't get an infection in my eye, right! BTW before even getting home my eyelashes started coming off and i didn't touch them put water on them or anything. Within 4days they had basically pretty much more than 70% fallen off. My pedicure was a joke! I had excess skin and that's why I went but I got my nails and eyebrows done too. I left with my feet painted but looking like I never had a pedicure in life. I also brought my daughter who not only had the same services but they talked her into chrome tips her nails broke her eyebrows were two different shapes I spent almost $400. The only plus of this establishment is they do offer more than the average nail salon, but they suck in comparison to other nail salons. I will say the inside of the business is beautiful that was the only plus. Don't waste your money!!!!! read more

My sisters and I Went there Saturday (6/22/24) And we had the worst experience ever and getting our nails done in general. Firstly, my sister got acrylics and they didn't put a topcoat on her nails even though she asked for it (Which she shouldn't have to ) so she ended up having to do that when she got home because it looked really dry and really textured. My other sister asked for gelX nails, Which if you look up, It doesn't require adding a tip or nail glue it's literally just An extension made from purely gel. They not only just Gave her a glued on nail tip and just put gel nail polish(which on their website in like $60) on it, They charged her for gelX And tried to tell her to her face that she got gelX when my sister was saying it wasn't (Which she paid like $90 for gelX is not cheap). Also the lady who did her nails was very rude. Lastly, The woman who did my nails kept giving me prices that didn't match the website. mind you we booked an appointment online which showed us said prices. I was going to get acrylic nail extensions Which is $55 and up on the website, but when I asked her In the shop, just to make sure, she told me it was $75 and I didn't even tell her what I wanted yet. I was just looking for the base price. So I just got a plain manicure which was supposed to be $35 and she charged me almost $50 for. I only got a simple color, no added designs or anything. My nails are short too. Then, when she put my nails under the machine to dry, Their machine my hands felt like they were burning like three times and every time I pulled my hand away, she just kept saying "It's okay, It's supposed to be hot" My hands were legitimately burning and hurt well after I was done with my nails. That's never happened to me before at any other place. This was by far the worst nail experience I've ever had and we each spent Almost, if not over, $100. read more
