I just got a massage from Christine. It was the best massage of my life. So amazing Christine is very nice and set a comfortable atmosphere. While the massage was a incredible. She did a trick with a hot towel that defied the laws of physics. She laid it on my back so slow and gentle it felt like I was getting a vapor massage until she set it down. I can't even explain it. I'm trying to figure out how to post pictures to show her work, but this place is the most disrespectful money hungry hair salon I've ever been too. I was seeing Kari baker! Her work is alright it's comes out nice when first done. Then a couple of days later it turns yellow. And yes I have All kinds of products that I bought from them from purple shampoo to moisturizer too creams. And I know like why go back, but because I just always give people chances and I would just think maybe she just having a bad day and really I'm just so nice! I even always tipped her like25$ Too 40 ! Kari treats people disgusting with her attitude, she gets lazy with her work and acts like she does not want to Finnish. And I have proof on my phone how she would treat me ! She would add so many bowls just to mark up the price. My last incident was the last straw I thought giving her another chance would get better because that's the kind of person I am. She treated me so rudely and because she was so mad about the question I was asking and the argument we had she treated my head like a ragdoll she was so rough and again I defended myself like it almost turned into a fight that's how unprofessional she is and when I decided to stick up for myself she tried to get the manager involved telling me she was not going to finish my hair meanwhile I had so many foils in my head. Yes she finished because she had too but did not want to blowdry because she had someone coming in and she can't finish my hair because I waisted TIME! So she had somebody else finish my hair blow drying it. The lady who blowdried my hair was awesome and did amazing job. So when it was time to pay Kari made sure she was at the register to charge me! Meanwhile she had another client in her chair, she wanted to make sure she added all them bowls she used on my head and she try charging me over $300! And I don't mind paying I never had an issue it was just the principle and I think we both felt that we knew I was not coming back after this incident. Also I had a 20% discount card that I finally wanted to use and she was so mad and tried to deny it but One of the managers basically told her she had to use it. So after it was time to pay and time to leave she tried telling me she wanted to take a picture of my hair, mind you I have my five-year-old son with me (which everyone loved him because he was the most well behaved kid) and I declined yes because I was so upset after paying then she tried chasing me out the salon telling me it was Proto call or something and I told her no again and walked away! When I got home I was just too upset to actually look at my whole head. So two days later I'm parting my hair and basically she was so mad that she didn't even finish my hair the right way she missed the back of my head like you could still see my roots So i parted my hair some more and you still see my roots so she did a half ass job All because I defended myself because I got sick and tired of her attitude and always treating me like she had the right to treat me like crap. All she did was gossip about the people at the salon gossip about her clients and acted like she was better because she was the one bringing in all the money. And having a relationship with the manager obviously they're not gonna be on my side about the situation. They just over charge For everything because she's money hungry and I knew she was over charging me because every time she was done with my hair she would make sure that she was behind the register telling the lady In her ear what too add when it was time to pay and I have seen her 4times and last time she had someone right after me especially this last time I understand hair is a lot of work but you shouldn't treat people like crap and try to mark up the price because you feel like you can and knew I had money and I had no problems paying! Sorry If this makes no sense I have a hard time expressing myself especially trying to write it down! I have been trying to find a salon for the past three years- since I moved to the Memphis area. Sadly (as you will see from my reviews) I have had some horrific experiences. Happily, I have finally found my "home!" The salon is beautiful, and the people are extremely friendly. Let's start with nails: Lann is great. I had a pedicure done, and noticed that she has OPI gel colors!! I haven't found a salon around here that uses these, because they're more expensive (quality), so I'm super excited to see that she has so many. The pedicure was awesome, so I look forward to coming back for my gel manicure. Next is hair. I visited Kiara (or Kyra?). She fixed a bad coloring job that I had done before Christmas, as well as reshaped my style. She explained what she had in mind, what she was going to do, and was very welcoming. Really glad I found this salon!!!! I used to drive by this beautiful historic home when it was a Christmas store and ooh and ahh. I drove past it recently and saw that it's a salon now. A banner on their sign said $10 kids cuts so I got on Yelp and booked my youngest an appointment. Then decided to book one for me and mani/pedi for my eldest. Kyra did my hair and she did a GREAT job!!! She's amazing at blowouts too! Debbie cut my daughters hair and it is the cutest haircut she has ever had! Stephanie did my eldest daughters nails and did an excellent job. The salon is beautiful and relaxing. The second floor has massage rooms and a yoga room! They offer yoga and tai chi. They serve free mimosas, champagne, and cucumber water! All the staff was friendly and personable. This is definitely going to be our salon! I highly recommend! read more

I received a heavy highlight and trim from Lauren at Pastille. My hair color turned out to be exactly what I wanted. She was very thorough which I really liked. The ambiance of the salon is super relaxing. My eyes were closed half the time I was in there due to the music, fragrance, and the gentleness of my stylist. Overall the entirety of the place was nice and official. I went in for an updo appointment at 12:30 and I got into my car at 2:46!!!!! 2 hours for an updo are you kidding!!!! Also the amount thatI was charged was ridiculous. I have gotten my hair done before and the updo took not even an hour and it was much prettier than the one I got at this salon. Also the updo that I had seemed fairly easy to me considering I have had it done before and the only reason I chose this place is because the girl that normally does my hair was out of town and she told me to come her. She did it completely wrong. It was just a braid half up half down. And the amount of product on my hair was crazy. I still had it in my hair after two washes. I just moved here so I had no idea where to start getting my hair cut. I checked Yelp and decided to give this place a try. The receptionist that greeted my was very friendly, in fact, all of the staff was very nice. Debbie cut my hair yesterday and she did an amazing job. I have very thin, straight hair and this makes it very hard for my to find a good hair dresser. Any tiny little mistake is obvious. Yesterday I had the best hair cut I have had in years. I have never, ever had a bad experience here. I see Kari for my blonde hair and she never lets me leave disappointed! I go in with a picture and she can absolutely recreate it, and that's what you want from a hair salon. I paid $185 (not very expensive for this area) for an entire head of icy blonde and, truly, I would pay 10x that for the quality of work done every time I go to Pastille. I paid $150 plus $25 tip to get my eyelashes done at Pastille and noticed the morning after that most all of the lashes on one eye had came off. I was told to wait a week and come in for a fill (that I may or may not get charged for!) By the time a week had passed almost all the lashes had fallen out! I was told at that point that I could not get a refund, so I asked if they could just redo them to see if maybe something just wasn't right... I was then told I could pay half price for another full set?! Meaning it doesn't matter if what you paid for messes up in 24 hours they still don't try to fix their mistakes! Apparently this place is more worried about making money then making long time customers! I have gotten my lashes done at other places (for way cheaper) that lasted for at least 3 weeks, I was only looking for a new place because of the amount of glue that was used previously and was told by the owner of pastille that it was possible without that much glue but apparently they just wanted the money! My first time here and I made an appointment to see Jamie the esthetician and although there was a slight hiccup she was very kind and understanding and helped to make things go smoothly. I love that she sits with you before your appointment to discuss your skin concerns and she really wants to help gear treatments towards your specific goals. She has a unique background because she has some nursing school under her belt which I believe is why she is so much more knowledgeable than any other estheticians I have been to. I hope I can start seeing her often, once my schedule opens up. The salon is very cute and they are a one stop shop for anything you would want done, I think that's very convenient. Maureen the owner runs the show and seems to really be on top of everything. She's sweet and so is Jamie. The only downfall I had was I had to wait about 20 minutes to be seen, that was really frustrating. I had to inquire at the front desk twice before I realized they forgot about me, which made me feel like walking out to be honest. Especially when made it a point to arrive 10-15 minutes. But I waited since I had come from far for this appointment and I'm just hoping that was a one time mistake and it won't happen again, I'd say give this place a try. read more

I was in town for Mother's Day, so I thought I would take my mom for her first ever pedicure and also to get her hair done. I had no clue what spa to choose, so I went to yelp for help. It was very important for me to make sure my mother had the best experience possible. Pastille certainly did not let me down. I booked an appointment for 2pm for her pedicure and for her hair after that. Right after the pedicure my mom was already looking forward to the next one! Also, she looked 10 years younger when her hair was finished. My mother and I were both impressed by the service, expertise and general warmth of everyone we encountered.
