    Nice Assortment

I haven't been to Pastry Art in years!!! I tried to stand in the long line at the Homewood location but I decided to head to Inverness. There were customers ahead of me with large orders but things moved pretty quickly. Don't expect a lot of interaction with staff, just place your order and smile. I like these little babies and went with an assortment of 6. I treated myself to key lime, strawberry margarita, Carmel, neapolitan, red velvet, and strawberry. Glad I stopped by!!!

I've been enjoying the Homewood location for years. Nice to now have a location in my area. They just opened so pastry options were limited. I ordered my usual. Staff was friendly and baby bites taste just as delicious as the other locations.

I had seen this place when I was looking to surprise one of my coworkers for her birthday. The shop is super cute, and their specialty is the baby bite. I ended up going in a different direction, but to my surprise my best friend got me a box of baby bites just a week later! Great minds truly do think alike! I got an assortment of their pink strawberry, red velvet, turtle, and another flavor I didn't quite figure out. Possibly an espresso? They were all so delicious! I can't even pick a favorite! They are super sweet on the outside like a chocolate truffle, and a cake on the inside. They are so tasty, and the fact that they are small means you can eat or I mean try (LOL) several at a time! I highly recommend these for any special occasions!

If you want to indulge in a sweet that is bursting with flavor, Pastry Art Bake Shoppe is the place for you! There are a variety or flavors of the little Baby Bites. I would suggest this place as a nice date spot excluding the downside of there not being a ton of options outside of the Baby Bite specialties. Overall, I love the little cakes. They're sweet, moist, and scrumdiddlyumptious!

As a lover of petit fours, I was skeptical. But MAN are these things good! The baby bites are moist, flavorful, and the perfect size!

There wasn't line when we got there but the crowd usually follows us for some reason so by the time we left there was standing room only and a line out the door. The bakery items were very fresh and tasty. I loved the Swedish gingerbread cookies - light and crisp. The lemon bar was delicious. They also have sandwiches that liked really good. Coffee - I got a vanilla latte extra sweet (no lavender) and my daughter said it was one of the best. I thought it was pretty good. I would go again when back in Birmingham!

The young girl making the coffee was loudly talking about someone who messed up their coffee order this morning and how frustrated she was. The only other employee was occupied with what seemed a large order of bread etc. When she finished what she was doing she looked at the now five customers, claustrophobically waiting, and said I'll be right back and disappeared. Leaving the one guy serving the one customer. It was 11:30 am on a rainy day. Figured I could do without a cream cheese croissant and coffee and left. Had already waited 5 as the only other person in there and did not want to wait another undetermined amount of time. I know one of the bakers. It's a shame the front has been so bad these last two times.

The space itself is beautiful--clean, intentional, and unique--with visual nods to milling and baking traditions. You can see elements of the mill and wheat motifs in the background, which adds a quiet sense of craftsmanship and history without feeling staged. The pastries are exceptional. Their croissants are perfectly flaky and buttery, the sourdough is deeply flavorful, and the morning buns strike that ideal balance of richness and warmth. The baguette is crisp on the outside, tender inside--everything you want it to be. Every item feels carefully made, never rushed. What stands out most is the consistency and care. Breadworks manages to feel elevated yet welcoming--refined without being pretentious. It's clear they take pride in both their craft and their process, and it shows in every bite. A true standout in Birmingham and absolutely worth returning to.

Soon as you walk in, you see packaged desserts in both full cakes and slices. They had several King Cakes, so we immediately decided to split a slice. Decided that first before what we're actually eating. #priorities Last time I ate here, I got the Chicken Quesadilla and it was so good. But a couple of my coworkers got the Marilyn Monroe, a sandwich with "turkey, pepperoni, mozzarella & marinara sauce on cheddar bread". So I went with that this time, same as my coworker. Concept here is that you order at the counter, they give you a number to display on your table, then another server will bring your order. Service was fast. The sandwich looked a bit small at first, but it was stacked with turkey and pepperoni, so the portion size was actually just right. It comes with marinara sauce on the side for dipping, which is good, because it keeps the sandwich from being too messy, but it was a bit odd because it was cold, in combination with the warm sandwich. I kinda wish the sauce had been warmer. It comes with a bag of chips and your choice of another side, which I chose fruit. I don't care for melon, so I picked around that and ate the grapes out. Next time I might get another side. And finally... it was King Cake time. We had picked a cream cheese slice and it was SO good. Had a cinnamon taste mixed in, but to be fair, this was my first King Cake so I actually have no idea what to compare it to. This dessert made me so happy. Two things I need to figure out: why is this sandwich called the Marilyn Monroe and when can we eat here again.
