Ordered through a Grubhub promo which reduced the total price. This was my first time trying Pasture Burger, although I had been wanting to try them for a long time. I ordered the Grass Fed Burger (with cheddar cheese), and chose the hand-cut fries for the side. The burger was very good but the bottom bun was all soggy when I opened it up from the packaging. I don't know if that was a fluke but I definitely think it could have been packaged better. The fries were fine, not exceptional. Next time I'd probably request them a more well-done. I had also gotten a side salad (for $4.99) - it was a generous-sized salad, but some pieces of the lettuce were brown & I had to pick those out and throw them out. The rest of the salad was fine but I think they should be more careful to only put fresh lettuce in there. The Grubhub delivery came right in the time range they had promised me, although I had asked for napkins/utensils and those were not included in my bag. I also think it's a weird glitch that the Pasture Burger/Grubhub menu doesn't list any drink options at all. Do they not have them? So all in all, a few things that need improvement. Since I did like the burger I'll give them another try sometime - either with that particular burger or another kind. Although I'd probably put it a note requesting they pack it better. read more

I love my neighborhood restaurants and want to support them, but this is the second time I've gone to this restaurant and gotten a very bad meal. The fries are pretty standard, but what in the world is going on with the chicken? I ordered a chicken biscuit (the biscuits, from the sister restaurant Cafe Madeleine, are great), and what I got was really quite grotesque. The chicken had a weird texture. It was almost like fish in some areas and dry and hard in others, and it tasted very weird--kind of like vinegar. It may have even been off. I have to say, I am truly surprised and confused by the negative reviews. It seems most people complained of long wait times or price. This burger is f***ing MAGIC! Yes, it may be a couple of dollars more than a typical everyday burger and it may take a bit longer for the lovely and very patient chefs to add all of the magical touches but this burger is made with love and love takes time and investment! My husband and I just found this treasure on Thursday of this week and we went right back on Saturday. We happened to catch them as they were cleaning and preparing to close. I gave the gentleman there an out but asking if they were closed before I stepped inside but although he looked tired and kind of unsure he invited me to place my order. Thank you again! I asked him how long it would be because I remember the burger and wings we had ordered last time took a little longer than I am used to. He gave me a 15 minute estimate and he was spot on. Just 15 minutes later he was asking me what sauces I needed and placing napkins in my bag. This burger comes is a soft and slightly crispy delicious sesame seed bun and has an amazingly lovely grilled flavor. If you get it to go with fries, your fries will capture that grilled flavor on your ride home an become extra delicious. Also, their wings are cooked fresh, are so crispy and so well seasoned...mmmmmm. Orders take a minimum of 15 minutes because everything is cooked fresh and seems to be seasoned on the spot. The best burgers you've ever had--with so many options, like a soft shell crab burger and a kimchi burger! They make creatively elevated and healthy food done to perfection every time. Wow I speak only from the menu items I've gotten originally across the street at Ayurvedic Plate, but they seemed to have brought those items and style over to Pasture Burger across the street (I think they're the same owners as these two (Ayurvedic Plate closed) spots as well as Cafe Madeline). The cauliflower the naan the chickpeas and the lamb and chicken everything is so perfectly seasoned and spiced and just generally filling and quality ingredients. I bring my own take away container and usually take some home but it's difficult to it finish all the crispy crunchy naan and cauliflower. Got a shrimp "burger" from this place-I put that in quotes because it was LITERALLY several pieces of shrimp on a burger bun with lettuce. I used to frequent the Ayurvedic plate pre pandemic make an effort to go to pasture burger for their Indian food when I'm around. I Used to consider it my go to for casual Indian food. The Indian food in Brooklyn is just so awful This was a shining light. However the last time I was there it was bland, when I asked what something was specifically he replied "Indian curry". No shit Buddy. He said the rice was basmati. It wasn't, it was some short grain that was barely cooked. I hope they read this review and return to the quality they used to be known for. This is a vegan-focused review, and Pasture Burger gets 5 stars no problem! They have the Beyond and Impossible Burger, as well as new plant based "beef," "chicken," and "turkey" burgers, all available for about $16 with either a salad or fries (regular or sweet potato) and are knowledgeable about what is and isn't vegan or vegetarian. I've had the Beyond, Impossible, and PB "chicken" all of which were properly prepared. Note, they are cooked on a shared grill with animal products. That's 5 stars right there, but they also do bowls of Indian food which they've absorbed from the now closed Ayurvedic Plate across the street. A base of rice and then any combo of curries, veg, and sauces you want. This includes some meat and dairy options (I can't comment on them) and many vegan options like daal, channa, cauliflower and potato, fried cauliflower, pakora, eggpland, okra, green beans, and other seasonal items, which are so delicious! Naan is made to order. I've ordered from them 2x a week for the last month either for burgers or the Indian food, and I can't recommend them enough! read more

Tasty, but very slow. Prices are down to $15 before tax and tip for a burger and a salad or fries. (The sweet potato fries are better.) Two of us went there at 3ish on a recent Saturday afternoon. Six people had already ordered. It took them 20 minutes to even put our burgers on the grill. I watched a woman wait five minutes for an extra cup of dressing. I want this place to succeed because there isn't much like it in the neighborhood, and they serve two kinds of veg burgers, but they still have work to do. The place is badly laid out. The seating arrangement is very wide for such a narrow restaurant; it should be a bar with stools, not a two-foot-deep bench with a two-foot-deep table for every customer. So a person going to the bathroom has to squeeze by a person ordering ice cream or a person who is slowly pouring ketchup from a frustrating glass bottle into a tiny plastic cup at the counter. (Install a ketchup pump or pre-fill those to-go cups, guys!) It also was understaffed; only two people, occasionally three, were behind the counter when I was there. This means that when one guy is taking an order, or fixing an issue with a takeout customer, or scooping ice cream, or explaining the unlabeled sauces, only one guy can mind the hot and cold lines. read more

Did I miss something, are the burgers laced with some herbs that cost much more to make now compared to a year ago? They stated that the add-ons are now included in the new price. Burger was good. However, one strip of bacon for $3 had to be thrown out because it was stale. The fries are the lowest quality you can buy, which is why they come with the burger. But $20 total should leave a customer happy, not thinking they could've had better fries and bacon at McDonald's for a quarter of the cost. Up the quality and have integrity for fresh products! Also, the guy handling the food lowered his mask and was talking over the burgers he was putting together. This isn't acceptable. He also didn't swap out his gloves when handling the register then going back to handle the food. This is a major food hygiene violation, especially in COVID times. Won't be back. read more

Definitely the best hamburger I've had at a restaurant in a long time. I ordered medium rare and it came medium rare. Very juicy and fresh tasting. The bun was toasted and perfect. The pickles were high-quality. I really liked the banana pepper mustard I tried on my burger. I was incredibly excited to find that the side salad I got was excellent. The sort of salad you would just order us a salad from a haut farm to table restaurant. It had heirloom tomatoes and fancy lettuces and a nice fresh tasting lemon salad dressing.
