I have a couple picky eaters and pizza, Salad, macaroni.. that is all food they want and eat. So to start, I am not a picky eater at all. So 7 of my 8 kids (yeah i know...) and myself go in hungry after a long day hunting agates and playing with mole crabs to an immediate bill of $180.00 and that is without drinks, just water. We get sat down. Restaurant is very clean (reason for the stars that it did get.) Water is delivered and we begin to shuffle towards the buffet line. -Pizza was undercooked and reminded me very much of a elementary school cafeteria pizza. In fact almost all of the food was of that caliber. -Baked beans had been sitting long enough to form a skin -The clam chowder was separating in the pot and smelled burnt as soon as i opened the lid. -The salad bar was alright except for the actual Salad which seemed to be entirelymade up from the ends of numerous bags where it was just little ends and pieces of everything but lettuce. -Fried chicken was really dry and not enjoyable to eat. The kids barely eat anything besides fruit. As much as I would like to rip them about absolutely everything I will leave it at what it is. The food was pretty awful for that price tag, the service was mediocre, it felt like there was a single server for the entire restaurant, as water glasses were sitting empty a majority of the time. We will likely not be returning to this restaurant. I hope this review gets to their management so that they can consider minor and major changes for the betterment of the establishment.

We also shared the meat/cheese platter (3 choices for $18): mole salami was really good, Myril lavender goat cheese was excellent and my favorite because of the forward but still subtle lavender flavor, with honey drizzle. And the finocchiona which was tasty because of the fennel flavoring. It was presented with cranberry compote (blah) and a sherry spicy mustard (super yum). And some crostini and crackers. I personally would serve more crackers/crostini with it, we ran out quickly. I had the cocktail Lady on the Flamingo (Jameson, amaretto, orange bitter and ?) and my mother had the Classy Rita. We both really liked the flavors of our cocktail! The restaurant was not busy on a Weekday night. Service was impeccable. And plenty of parking. Cute views to the harbor, but unfortunately it was pretty foggy so we did not see the bridge or very far across the water. Overall, a solid choice when in Newport. They didn't have enough staff for the amount of tables. We had the pretzel and onion rings with our beer. Both were pretty good, but the pretzel portion was small compared to other brewpubs. We ordered a 10" Classic Hawaiian pizza along with a dozen of the garlic rolls to share. I called and placed the order over the phone and was said to come and pick up in 30 minutes. We got there, picked up our pizza exactly on time. We requested some red crusted peppers along with Parmesan cheese and plates. When we got back to our hotel and started eating. The Hawaiian pizza was good, cheesy and filled with ham and pineapple in every bite. The garlic rolls were decent as well. The food alway tastes good here.
