Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and prime rib.

This was a wonderful dinner. Large portions, absolutely delicious and friendly service. I highly recommend.

Food was good and it's a bigger place. The waiter was a little harsh toward his fellow employee which was off putting. He was the only negative. It was clean.

Walking in, it is pleasant to see how open, airy and well lit the restaurant section is. The bar area looks very inviting as well. The staff is very polite and we are shown to a booth by the windows. The booths, tables, chairs and floors are all very clean! I really like how clean this is in here, it really makes a good overall first impression. The menu has a nice variety of comfort foods as well as a specialty drinks menu from a full bar. I started with a cup of clam chowder and toasted garlic bread. The clam chowder was outstanding! It was so thick that it was like the consistency of a jam. This was a new one as it was full of potato and clam. The soup was incredibly smooth and creamy yet very thick. There was a light smoky flavor of ham or bacon. The top was sprinkled with a paprika and had a dash of a parsley garnish. The flavor was very rich. I also detected an extremely light sour note as if there might have been a little sour cream added. The toasted garlic bread was very buttery and crisp. It came as four thick slices and was covered with butter and garlic. An excellent dipper for the chowder. These two items alone was enough for a meal. Then we moved on to the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with fries. The Philly was so huge that it couldn't be picked up. It came on a normal hoagie roll but was so packed with an over abundance of ingredients that it had to be eaten with a steak knife and fork. The skirt steak was nicely cooked and sliced thin and there was a lot of it. There was also a nice amount of red and green bell peppers and onions. The only thing for me was the cheese. It was more of a Queso Cheese sauce, not the usual choice of provolone, swiss or others. The queso poured over the top was a little on the runny side, the flavor for me didn't quite match the profile of what I expected. Still, it was a generously large portioned sandwich and overall it tasted pretty good. There was also a BLT on some very well toasted thick sliced bread. It had a generous amount of bacon, as in a lot of bacon! The shredded lettuce was also a generous amount and the tomatoes were fresh.

Food coma! Can't go wrong with platter & BLT. Fried onion rings are on point! Went here based on reviews & place Don't disappoint. Chicken tenders were ok, but the fries are on steroids! Service was great, had young & activated well tuned servers.

This fun area is situated across from La Quinta hotel and is paired with a chocolate shop. We went on a Saturday at 1:30ish 4th of July weekend and it wasn't very busy. We didn't wait at all to be sat and helped. We got garlic bread to start and then the clam chowder and the fish and chips (cod). My clam chowder was probably some of the best clam chowder I've ever had. The fries were really good and the spoon like shape was fun. The fish was a little dry but tasted fine. The garlic bread was on sourdough which I was hesitant about but it was actually pretty tasty. There's sports playing and a bar area but it's still family friendly. The chocolate factory next door was also a fun addition.

We got the seafood platter as an appetizer and it was so delicious! We got to try a little bit of everything. We were pretty full just off of that but got entrees. The ahi poke in the seafood platter was so good I had to get it as my main. The sauce was so incredible with fresh avocado. I NEED that recipe. I would come back to Newport just for the ahi poke bowl. My fiance got the dungeness crab mac and cheese and it was without a doubt THE BEST mac and cheese we've ever had. We are Mac and cheese connoisseurs so that says a lot. The sauce was so perfect and the crab was very generous. To top it all off I thought the post cards at the end were very sweet. I came to Newport when I was a child (maybe 7 years old) and I had lots of old memories that I relived on my trip. I sent one to my mom. Our waiter was absolutely lovely. We hope to come back one day!

Been coming here for years and it's still a really solid breakfast spot…read more Today we had the eggs Benedict with honey bacon and the Rustic Scramble. Slightly spicy hollandaise sauce, perfectly poached eggs and the sweet bacon on the Benedict pearched on house made biscuits. Strong, rich coffee, on top of it service and normally a wait, but worth it.

I opted for the grilled cheese with an iced tea. My husband ordered the clam chowder with garlic bread. As I look around at all the tables near me all of the food from the hamburger to the salad looks delicious. The front door is open and the restaurant is warm. Outdoors it's only 54°. Kitchen is in the back of the restaurant, but there is heat radiated throughout the small restaurant. And loud noise of fans. The service was quick and polite. The food was delicious. The restaurant kept busy with people sitting at the tables outside as the lunch tables inside were filled. This is a small and cute place to have lunch. The wait staff was kind. We left our jackets in the restaurant and the waitress came out and found us still sitting in our car and gave us our jackets. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond. I would give this adorable café five stars.

Took my kids to The Hill in Newport Oregon for the first time on Father's Day 2026. I chose to go…read morehere as I had heard that the buffet was awesome and it included pizza, macaroni, steak, salad bar, desserts.. Perfect. I have a couple picky eaters and pizza, Salad, macaroni.. that is all food they want and eat. So to start, I am not a picky eater at all. So 7 of my 8 kids (yeah i know...) and myself go in hungry after a long day hunting agates and playing with mole crabs to an immediate bill of $180.00 and that is without drinks, just water. We get sat down. Restaurant is very clean (reason for the stars that it did get.) Water is delivered and we begin to shuffle towards the buffet line. -Pizza was undercooked and reminded me very much of a elementary school cafeteria pizza. In fact almost all of the food was of that caliber. -Baked beans had been sitting long enough to form a skin -The clam chowder was separating in the pot and smelled burnt as soon as i opened the lid. -The salad bar was alright except for the actual Salad which seemed to be entirelymade up from the ends of numerous bags where it was just little ends and pieces of everything but lettuce. -Fried chicken was really dry and not enjoyable to eat. The kids barely eat anything besides fruit. As much as I would like to rip them about absolutely everything I will leave it at what it is. The food was pretty awful for that price tag, the service was mediocre, it felt like there was a single server for the entire restaurant, as water glasses were sitting empty a majority of the time. We will likely not be returning to this restaurant. I hope this review gets to their management so that they can consider minor and major changes for the betterment of the establishment.
