When I first started, I had zero line dancing experience and was pretty nervous, but the free lessons are incredibly helpful. The instructors make everything feel approachable and fun. After just a few months, I'm now able to jump in and dance to many of the songs, which feels like such a win. What really makes Charlie's special, though, is the people. The veteran line dancers are welcoming, encouraging, and genuinely happy to help newcomers feel included. It never feels intimidating, just supportive and fun. I'm grateful that Charlie's has introduced me to an amazing new group of friends, and the venue itself couldn't be better for it. We came on a weekend where it was in the 100s in the valley. They have the current temperature of that room in big red letters and while we were there it was 107!! I could only last back there for 1 or 2 songs before I had to go to a cooler part of the bar for some water. My friends definitely had more fun than me, I just got too hot too quick.

By the time we scanned the QR code and found a song it was already hours long -- we went out into the main part of the fairly small bar area and got a drink but then ended up leaving because it was going to be way too long -- plus we didn't really fit the theme -- oh well, the karaoke looked good -- there is a stage (I don't like when everyone sits at their seats) -- so maybe I will be back on a different night, when I check the theme, haha.
