Even in the three times I've been there, the time has been absolutely great! Went here in late April 2025, then mid-September 2025, and again late April 2026 and each time the bartenders have been great. Love the karaoke! Friendly people, you feel at home right away. I am straight but I come for karaoke and I always feel welcome. Lots of activities, parties, raffles, tournaments, and such. They support several charities, and fundraising events contribute to those. They don't serve food but allow you to bring food in from several nearby restaurants. Or really anywhere. dance area , the music also was not loud like you're used to hearing when it comes to like dancing events so it was kind of hard to really dance when you would just hear people's conversations overlapping the music instead and they don't have many options as well in regards to beer only one IPA and it's a bottle they have a mini outdoor area that's kind of inside which is interesting def incases the smoke inside if that bothers you, I'm pretty sure this place doesn't usually get as busy as it was for this event so I'm pretty sure some of my complaints you won't even have to deal with because there won't be that many people but yeah right I wouldn't mind coming back I had really good service but if the music especially was turned up a bit I know some others would of danced more including myself just awk at times with how low it was but also I noticed the speakers would sound like they gave out after a high decibel so idk if that's was the case or it was the dj but overall I had a lot of fun and would love to update my review in the near future attending again read more

This hole in the wall feels like one of Phoenix's original gay bars. It's unambiguous--I've noticed the rainbow signage every time I pass it--but not until recently did my friends bring me here. It's tiny, but it's actually a really nice little dive bar, where everyone is so good at karaoke I would not dare kill the mood with my terrible singing voice. It looked like a predominantly Gen Xer crowd, and the bartender had a wide array of flavored vodkas (Deep Eddy Grapefruit FTW) at their disposal. It has a happy mood, and is chill. Great vibe, clean bar top, and perfect drinks. They are open on Sunday at 6AM! Like what more could you really want from a bar adjacent to a smoke shop. Let alone, that was enough for me to venture into a adorable, dark, RAINBOW, hole in the wall. They are so close to the light rail you can hear the ding ding from the door. I have passed by this place for soooooo long growing up in Phoenix, and I can't believe I haven't been there sooner. The local patronage was so welcoming and the bar keep, Ryan... I hope I got his name right, he was probably the nicest person I've seen on 19th Ave, periodt. He was super quick to make sure everyone was taken care of and made the drinks with skill! Worth checking out if you are an ally to the LGBTQ crowd. You might just find a new spot or friends! My Bloody Mary was amazing and I'll be back. read more

This was one of the stops a friend and I went to during a bar hop night. There is a small parking area in front and we were lucky to have snagged a spot. Considering the small facade and limited parking, we were surprised to see a good number of people inside. It was a karaoke night and the crowd seemed to be having a good time. Second time in the past week that I find myself having a drink with friends at a gay bar and OZ did not disappoint. We're there on a Tuesday night and only 6-10 locals in the place and then our group of 20 walk in. Turns into an unexpected great night for the bartender, I'm sure, who was really friendly and he made some pretty good drinks. They have a couple pool tables here too. It's not the biggest place around, sort of divey, but I like that in a bar. They don't serve food so we picked up a sandwich and they didn't seem to have a problem with us eating there. read more

Sorry guys, but this one was a dud. Went here with a few friends for a drag show because one chickie in the posse had a friend/co-worker performing...we left within 30 minutes. The biggest reason we left was because 2 of us REALLLLLLY had to go to the bathroom, the ladies restroom was being used as a dressing room, so we couldn't get in there, so (adaptable and easy-going as we are) we went over to the men's restroom. We were treated SO RUDELY by several of the men in line that it just made sense to saran-wrap our bladders and head over to a friendlier watering hole. My friends competed in OZ's country idol. Everyone was great but the bartender. We're 21-23 years old and the bartender expected huge tips even though he was immediately hostile; guess he's use to these men 45+ tipping. We ended the night at a friendlier gay bar. I guess my review is split in the middle based on our experiences there. First, I would have to say I am pleased with the service we get here, and that's most important. The bartenders are always attentive and friendly, so we appreciate that. They have drink specials and decent prices otherwise too. As far as the scene, it's a small, local gay/dive bar so it's what you would expect. It can be a mixed crowd of guys and girls, all ages, shapes, colors, what have you and that's fun. A lot of regulars, and some nights there are certain events going on where many of these regulars seem to rule the roost. That can be a little obnoxious. Our downfall here, is that we won't come on drag show nights or night where there resident drag queen, 'Classy Corona', is present. After a few experiences with 'Corona', we kind of just decided to mind our business on not engage with her too much. But the last time we encountered her, she was being lewd and inappropriate and it got on our nerves. To the point where she followed my boyfriend to the bathroom begging to watch him pee, and then came back to the bar and was doing the same to me and trying to stick her hands in my pants. This was enough to make us leave, and as we did, some others saw the situation and were telling us that they have had similar situations here and asked to have 'Corona' kicked out. Sounds like she isn't exactly helping business like she is supposed to. So we do like to return when we want to have some cheap, casual drinks close to home, but not on certain nights. read more

After checking out t his little dive several times, I feel I can finally write a review. So, the first time I stopped in with my friend, I was surprised (and slightly horrified) to walk in to this scene: lots of barely clothed boys waiving their junks around. Eeek! They kept trying to get us to buy their jell-o shots and it was a bit gross. Second time, however, was much better. My friend and her dude were there (he hosts karaoke on Friday nights), and it was a more comfortable setting. Lot's of singing and clapping and yippin' and yawwin' (ok maybe not that last part, but you get the idea). I find that in most gay man bars, I have a hard time getting service at the bar. This one is no exception, but they don't take as long to recognize my fierce femme self...so that's cool. All in all, it is A-ok, and that's just fine by me. read more

Are there negative stars? Came for karaoke around 1:30am. (Yes I understand it's close to closing so accept that.) was told no more singers can be put it which is understandable. Then was rudely told when I ordered a second drink at 1:45 that last call was already called, and it was not. But the bartender was kind and gave another drink to my group of friends that came. So 2:10 rolls around and the karaoke host announces we have a new singer because it's someone I've been wanting to get in bed for awhile. This bar needs to figure it out. read more

This place really sucks and not in a good way. Can never get a drink bartender are all bad and manager must not care or the owner as they have seen this. I have been there many time and always the same. I have went back only because we had to play darts there. It used to be a busy and fun now its dead and still can't serve you. Would have gotten 4 or 5 stars if it wasn't for the owner. I always liked this place. Mellow, good service, neighborhood bar. Sadly, and this is based on several stories, i have heard the owner frequents this place and drinks much of the time he is there. Also that he has on various occasions slandered his employees and also demeaned them in front of guests. I have not been there enough to witness this personally and would likely never return if I had. While I only come to this local once a month or so and would not consider myself a "regular" I do recommend this bar to many visiting friends and clients. For me however, it is the utmost importance that an establishment such as this has ownership that demonstrates positive behavior not only to its staff but for the community as a whole. The "gay" scene is wrought with such negative rumors and talk already. The owner of a gay establishment should never feed, let alone start this fire. read more

Has come to be nothing more than a poker bar, for the last 4 months never a special unless you consider $3.50 for a drink instead of $4.00 a special. Was a nice neighborhood bar until it became a poker bar. Only come here once a month now cause this bar can't even have 1 night of 2 for1. Oh well, once a month is now enough for me. read more
