The whole meal felt like it may have been sitting for a while before reaching our table. What was most disappointing was knowing how good this place used to be. I've been to Patacon, Pisáo in Doral a few times in the past, and this place continues to deliver every single time. Previously, the beef soup was excellent, the bandeja paisa was massive and outstanding, and the tostones were always on point. This visit did not disappoint either. I got hear late afternoon and solo, so I decided to go in on appetizers--and wow. The empanadas came out hot and fresh, with a spicy hot sauce that was perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Then came the canastas (basically tostone cups): one filled with shrimp, one with chicharrón ceviche, and another with guacamole. Crispy, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The chicharrón ceviche was so good I decided to get an order of Chicharrón. The left over from the canastas were a good addition. I paired it all with a green mango/lemonade with a salted rim, which was refreshing, tangy, and just perfect. We went on a weekday afternoon and the service was so very slow. Ordered Colombian empanadas to start and we received our entrees and still hadn't received the empanadas.
