Apparently everything is from local small farms around San Diego and possibly a few things owner made. A lot of items didn't have pricing which for me prevented me from buying more but I actually just went shopping elsewhere before stopping in so I would've bought more. The fruit and veggies are not all nice and shinny like at the grocery stores, these items look to be straight from a farm imo. Don't expect to find everything in perfect shape or that you don't have to look through the fruits or veggies and if you know, you know! Their items were a bit high but it's worth it when it comes to our struggling farmers!!! I'll buy more from them from here & out.

So I was out shopping yesterday at my local organic grocery. Looking over in the produce section I…read moresaw what appeared to be collard greens. Yes collards, but HUGE. They looked leaves from a Giant Gunnera plant, commonly known as Dinosaur Food. I only brought one bunch home 'cus I had to fold them both vertically and horizontally just to fit them into the produce sleeve. The leaves measured 15" across. Unbelievable and delicious, I hope to find more from Joe Heger farms in the future.

They have been accepting credit card all this time but when I went in a few days ago the guy tells me I have to use cash or buy something else in order to pay with a card. I'm sorry but no thanks. I don't carry cash and I'm annoyed. You own a business, don't charge me extra to pay with a card. Not to mention I made the extra stop with a sleeping baby who woke up when I took him inside (turns out all for nothing). I will be getting my avocados from Costco now. It was easier that way all along but like I said, trying to shop locally but now I'm over it. Sorry to say but you lost a loyal customer.

They have a variety of fresh produce and dry goods. I love coming here to see what they have on special and their deals. I come here at least once a month and I stock up on certain items. They have updated their hours and they are open on Monday- Saturday from 7am to 6pm. I have tried calling them to ask a question and their phone number does not work, I recommend looking on yelp and making sure they are open. The employees there are absolutely nice and helpful. They let you know when their next shipment is coming depending on the certain item you are looking for. If you haven't been here yet, you should check out this cute and quiet farmers outlet.

Visited this small mom-and-pop grocery market multiple times on our trip to Baja! Despite the small…read moresize, it is really useful to have on a stretch of highway in Primo Tapia where there is not much else going on. It was a perfect source for our food runs since we stayed at an AirBnb nearby. It's pretty dark inside where there is a wall of produce shelves with vegetables like cilantros, cebolla (green onions), rábanos (radishes), and yams. There's plenty of fruit like apples, bananas, mangos, pera (pears) and kiwi. You can find an assortment of household items from toilet paper to cleaning products to canned goods. Spices, chips and ice cream bars are also available. We picked up some fruit and toiletries on our previous stop. Next door is a bakery too, so your stop here won't be in vain if you can't find anything. The store is at traffic intersection and taxis are parked outside, so it's fairly convenient and easy to spot. If we visit again, we'll probably stop by!

Every Friday and Saturday, Taj opens his farm stand to the public, and it's here that you will find freshest, most delicious organic produce you've ever purchased in your life. My wife and I stop by every Saturday morning to see what Taj has, and we're always amazed at the selection, which changes from week to week depending on what's ready for harvest. Yesterday, for example, we bought broccoli, carrots, celery, lettuce, spring onions, and edible (!!) flowers. Then, Taj told us to wait a minute. He went out to his gardens and harvested some sugar snap peas for us right then and there. Oh. My. God. The sweetest, most delicious snap peas I've ever eaten. We of course bought some of those too. And that's the real beauty of going to the farm stand yourself instead of just doing a CSA box. You get to interact with Taj. He'll tell you what he loves best at the moment, and introduce you to some things you might not have otherwise tried (hello, black radish!). You'll also find fresh eggs (we have our own chickens so I don't need to buy those), lemons, and a variety of other produce. Whatever's fresh. Whatever's delicious. And if you need more of something, Taj is more than happy to go out in the garden and pick it for you. Extra bonus: the prices are very reasonable. The farm stand is currently open only on Friday from 2:30 to 5:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Check the website for updates or give Taj a call.
