I feel like…read morewe almost know him personally as he is such a sweet, personable guy and we've run into him at our kid's soccer game, business offices, etc. To start with his office is very organized and clean. They don't have a lot of bells and whistles, like TVs hanging from the ceiling or raffle baskets for promoting him on social media, but their professional competent available and organized. And I always dig their music playlist. Everyone there is incredibly professional and I've always had good luck being put on a waitlist for a different appointment if I have to reschedule. And when they asked the dreaded question about how often I floss, I never feel judged by my response. Nothing but positive reinforcement there. ;-) But the secret sauce of that place is really with Dr. Patel. He has a very calming presence about him, from his voice, to his smile, and the amount of time he takes to explain and listen to the patient. He never suggests unnecessary treatments, and I trust him implicitly. We've moved 30 minutes from him in the last few years and I finally switched to a dentist 5 minutes from me just this year. Part of me regrets it, but with two kids appointments to juggle with my own and work, convenience is worth a lot for me right now. My husband refuses to leave Dr. Patel, regardless of the added commute from work and home, but I did just recommend my dad to him as well because I trust him and his team so much. If I ever have something more complicated than a cleaning, I'll probably wind up back there for a second opinion. Big fan!

My mom has an insurance that isn't widely accepted so we struggled the day before, calling the provider, doing google searches, only to get dead ends. Once we found this practice, we held our breath, hoping they'd be friendly and accommodating - overwhelmingly yes! Joy took great personal interest in my mom, and the ladies at the front desk were so resourceful, helping us find an endodontist for the next step in care. Dr. Magno was also kind and professional. They refused to see me until I made payment arrangements... FOR A CLEANING!!! I have had thousands of dollars of dental work completed at the axiom dental office in zebulon over the past several years and not once have I not paid the full balance upon completion. Dr. Williamson is very professional, but also friendly, and I appreciate that he has taken the time to get to know me over the years. I love that his philosophy is to fix issues as they need fixing rather than filling every problem tooth immediately. His skill is unmatched when it comes to cosmetic dentistry. He had to perform a root canal and put a crown on a front tooth due to a kayaking incident, and a dentist here in Asheville didn't believe me that it was not my real tooth, so that is saying something. You won't get better service or craftsmanship than at this dentist. I highly recommend this practice.

I went to the Wainright & Wassel dental office on May 8, 2024 in hopes of having tooth 31…read morerecemented and tooth 5 evaluated for a crown. Three years ago Dr. Mark Wainright had recemented tooth 31 and in 2019 remade a crown for tooth 4.  Since I had had problems with both these teeth, I asked if I could have a price break for the upcoming work. I had done a Google search on crowns and was told they should last 3-5 years.  The crown on tooth 4 was a total waste of my money since it did not close the gap between my 3 & 4 teeth as I was told it would do.  Therefore I believed I had a legitimate cause to ask for a price break. I was seeing Dr. Matthew Wassel since Dr. Wainright had a long wait schedule. Instead of being willing to do my work, I was told that not only could they not recement tooth 31, but that I would also need a whole new crown due to some problem that did not make any sense to me.  The crown on 31 did not have a problem before and it was recemented.  I thought this was absurd and told them so.   For tooth 5, I was told I needed to have an X-ray.  When I said they had just done X-rays five months ago, I was then told they would need  pictures.  I disagreed with both and PLAINLY stated I was not paying for either.  I was then told they would need pictures and I agreed with the stipulation that it would be FREE!  I saw no need for pictures for the evaluation.  I had a mirror if I wanted to see the tooth and pictures were of no use to the dental office for evaluation purposes. I was then told they could place tooth 31, but with only temporary cement.  I told them this idea was insane.   Why would I want the tooth cemented on temporarily to then have to go to another dentist office and have them remove the crown to do it permanently? I left the office and went to see Dr. Christopher Powell later the same day, May 8, 2024 and he recemented the tooth permanently with no questions. There is probably the question as to why I did not complain about the crown on tooth 4 back when it happened?  Tooth 4 is a dental implant.  Doing more work on it could create even more problems.  I was trying to bend over backwards to be a "Nice Guy" in hopes I could stay in good relations with the dentist. My complaints to the dental board are: 1. Dr. Wainright told me he could close the gap between teeth 3 & 4 with a new crown and it did not. 2. Dr. Wassel refused to hear me, billing me for photos that were totally useless. 3. Dr. Wassel refused to hear my issues and instead tried to cover it up by stating that tooth 31 had a problem and needed to be remade. 4.  Dr. Wassel refused to hear my issues, refused to consider my complaints and instead penalized me with two behavior management charges.
