Brought my son in for a sore throat and other URT symptoms and the front desk lady and the two nurses were all awesome as f. my son even said it was the only time the strep test didn't make him want to puke. but the doctor who saw us... the "provider"... was pretty much the biggest walking cloud of negative energy ever and he couldn't even prevent his facial expressions from revealing himself as the basic d*ck he apparently is and probably also likes a lot. but whatevs. it's cool. he just sucked as a human but the nurses didn't so three stars. wait no I'm downgrading it to two stars... I forgot... there was a big dead nasty cockroach in the lighting fixture in the ceiling and that's just gross . read more

i went in for a visit when I had COVID bc my voice was gone and I was only supposed to pay $30 through insurance and they charged me $120. I still haven't received the rest of the money they owe me and it's been almost a year. the doctor was helpful & friendly but the people at the front desk are scoundrels! read more

Hi, If I could leave a 0 stars I would because these nurses are just down right rude and obnoxious. Instead of gossiping about the patients and giving mean looks maybe they should just do their job. This place didn't give me any sense of bed side manner or make me feel good. The least they could do is make me feel somewhat better but no they couldn't even do that. This is the first time I've felt like an actual patient at any quick care or emergency room. If you're Sick and not feeling well come here. I felt okay to ask any question I had. I felt wanted. They were super nice! I made an appointment I'm the afternoon, was seen after a quick paperwork period, and had a smooth appointment! All of the employees were super nice and knowledgeable, and eased my nerves of the visit. Best part was they had Fixer Upper on while I waited for X-Rays! read more

I just inhaled a mix of cleaning substances which was seriously choking me out. I ran to the ER. I was coughing, couldn't breathe and they refused to give me any oxygen. They said they do not have this facility here. Also said my vitals are good and I will be ok. Unless I want to go to hospital. My throat is still burning and I can't breathe. I am trying to take some time to see how it goes. Five people checked on me doing absolutely nothing. The doctor's name was Jessica Khan/ Khanna. I do think this is a serious offense to let someone choke when you just could give her some oxygen, if not why open an ER? I will see how I can take actions against them. read more

How does an "urgent" care take 20 minutes to call someone when there is no one else in the lobby and rooms are wide open? Nurses are too busy gossiping. This "urgent" care was far from urgent. The doctor was rude and acted like my chest pain wasn't important. My nurse was great and that is the only reason I'm giving this place more than one star. I've gone to other urgent cares in Baton Rouge and plan to never attend this one again. They seemed more interested in my payment than my medical care. read more

Not sure why this location gets bad reviews. I have been here twice-my second time today. Both times I was taken back into the exam room quickly, and greeted by friendly nurses. Both doctors I've seen have great bedside manners. I definitely recommend this urgent care if you want quick and quality service. read more

I went there two days in a row for different symptoms. One day I went for a seriously painful bladder infection and they were rude and dismissive. They prescribed me an antibiotic and sent me home. That night my fever got to 102 and no kind of pain medicine would help me with my aches and fever and I throw up. I go the next day, and explain how I am having flu like symptoms and they don't even test me. They give me a steroid shot, told me they would prescribe me an anti Nausea medicine but instead prescribed me an allergy medicine. And I still got the same rude dismissive service. The steroid shot has done nothing and I am still laying in bed with fever and aches and pains. I am very disappointed in this place. There is nothing urgent or helpful about their demeanor. read more

My college daughter went to the clinic today for a sinus infection. She is not accustomed to going to appointments alone, but this is part of growing up and going away to college.This clinic did not make it a pleasant experience. After taking her blood pressure 3 times, she became very anxious. She warns them when they were attempting the blood pressure reading that something didn't feel right, but they refused to give her a break to collect herself. She then passes out! After trying to collect herself, but still crying, the doctor rudely gets in her face and corrects her on how to wear a mask and proceeds to adjust it on her face and squeeze it around her nose. Tells her if she doesn't like the way it fits then she needs to get another one in a extremely rude and sarcastic tone. She was crying the entire time. It didn't take a genius to see this young girl was nervous. The nurses and doctors could have handled this much better. Shame on them! read more

They did a flu test on me and let me know I was positive but that was the extent of their help. He prescribed me a steroid (which I didn't need) and then only wrote me a doctor's excuse for 2 days. It's now the end of my two days and I'm still running a fever because, duh, it's the flu. read more

Traveling in RV, injured ribs 2 days ago. Retired military w/ Meficare/Tricare for Life. Called in and registered on line. Arrived 1 hour later. After signing Consent Form, seenot by 2 delightful nurses within 5 minutes of arrival. Examined by PA, who ordered x-rays. Less than 10 minutes later, given a green light, offered pain-killers. No fracture, just painful recovery. Very efficient clinic, professional staff, extremely clean. An excellent, pleasant experience. Hurrah to the entire staff. Great job. read more

At Lake After Hours I was the only person in the lobby for the entirety of the time i was there, yet i still had to wait over an hour and a half. When i finally got into a room, i had to wait around 20 more minutes, then the doctor came in. My main problem was the fact that my tonsils were severely inflamed, and i informed the nurse that i have had this same issue in the past, and it has led to a peritonsillar abscess. Nevertheless, she said all she could do was test me for covid. What a joke. She also said I did not have fever, which the ER confirmed to be untrue, I did indeed have fever. In addition, i was experiencing tachycardia, and she did not even inform me of it. I had to read through my forms to discover that my heart rate was at an "abnormal" 126 BPM. When I went to the Baton Rouge General ER, i only had to wait 10 minutes and I was already being attended to (with a lobby of around a dozen people). The doctors there seemed so much more willing to help me and didn't half-ass it like my doctor at Lake After Hours. They confirmed my fever and dehydration and also diagnosed me with pharyngitis (similar to tonsilitis). And guess what, i tested negative for covid. Imagine that! I immediately was given a Fluid IV, steroid shot, and antibiotic shot and was directed to take Ibuprofen and do saltwater rinses at home. They hydrated me and brought my heart rate back to normal. I felt better instantly upon leaving. I may as well have thrown my $170 dollars into a ditch rather than wasting my time at Lake After Hours to simply get offered a covid test. The only plus of my visit was that the front desk lady was nice. That's it. The doctor I had was one of the laziest doctors I've ever dealt with. She took a quick look at my tonsils and all she said was "It's not an abscess, you're fine. Your tonsils are the same size." NO SHIT IT ISN'T AN ABSCESS YET, I WANT TO CURE IT BEFORE IT BECOMES AN ABSCESS. And sure my tonsils were the same size, but they were both the size of grapes and basically touching my uvilia and blocking my airway. Drake Romoray is a better doctor than her. With all due respect, I will be taking my talents elsewhere next time I have a medical issue. read more

My daughter has been coming here for the last 3 years, and it seems like every time she goes it gets worse. She is an OOS student at the university and her PCP is in her home state. She suffers from frequent tonsil infections and will hopefully soon be able to get her to have her tonsils removed - as soon as her schedule allows for enough time to heal correctly. From past experience, when she gets a sore throat, she needs to start on a round of antibiotics immediately or she ends up with fever, infections, and many times bronchitis... not great for an asthma sufferer. Anyway. Late last night after classes, she went to this facility to be told it's an upper respiratory infection. She was sent home with a prescription for decongestants and steroids (they always prescribe steroids). They told her if she got worse to come back even though she explained her health history. She had a horrible night, and began running a fever over 100 - quite high for a person who normally has a body temperature of about 97.8. Went to class and then back to the facility again since she started a fever and there was now yellow patches on her tonsils... and extremely bad headache and fever.... and the doctor she saw the night before said to come back if she got worse. After being rudely told she would have to pay for her visit again, she was admitted and was seen by a PA. They tested her for strep, and mono because her "throat looked awful and infected". Both tests were negative, thank goodness, but they once again sent her home without prescribing an antibiotic, regardless of her once again explaining her health history with the reoccurring throat infections. (BTW, the PA said she would prescribe her antibiotics and then the nurse came back and toke her instead they were going to have her see a physician there and they would call her in a couple days... really? Btw, it's also flu season... wasn't a flu test warranted. Needless to say, this OOS parent is livid! We had to contact her OOS PCP via the exchange, have a virtual online appointment, and she finally is getting the medication she needs From her OOS doctor. Hopefully she can now recover from the infection before it gets any worse, and maybe feel somewhat better so she can study for exams next Monday. I will be on the phone all week, and working with my HR to dispute all charges for inadequate care provided by this facility! I know I'm not a doctor, but I know my daughter, and my daughter knows her body. When did doctors stop listening to their patients? I mean really listening? Don't waste your time, or money, going to this facility. They aren't worth the time of day! read more

7/2 /18 I had the worst experience ever here I brought my 3 yr old daughter in for a cut the NP tried to glue the cut back together and glued my child eye together and didn't know what to do to open my baby eye while in the room I called 911 and was taken by ambulance to Olol hospital and my baby eye wasn't open until 4 hours later . I'll never ever bring myself nor kids ever to a Lake after hours clinic again ! I was the most angry scared mom ever . read more

We took our daughter in last week with a horrible sore throat. All they gave her was a few steroids (6) and sent her home. Anyone know that a sore throat is normally a start of something else going on. Within a few days she had full bore bronchitis which if this had been tested up front she may not be suffering right now on her second day on a new job. She is coughing and sniffles and lungs very congested so what do we do pay to bring her back in again and hope they can get it right this time? She was starting a job and hoped to be treated correctly the first time to not be sick starting a new job. Horrible place I phoned this morning and had a lengthy conversation with this office explaining and requesting to bring my daughter back in but they told me we have to pay another fee all over again to come back in and get the medications that she should have been given with her first visit. How convenient to half treat a patient just to get the fee again because they are sicker than when they initially came in because they were not properly treated in the first place and given the proper medicine. read more

Had a really great experience here. Short wait time, and the staff was really empathetic, while also showing an off-beat, delightful sense of humor. Made getting treated for a sinus infection about as pleasant and fun as it could be. Staff seemed to be enjoying helping people feel better, as opposed to just pushing patients through. read more

I shouldve read the reviews before wasting my time and money here. Apparently the protocol for a sore throat at this facility is a round of steroids. I went in Tuesday May 15th with a severe sore throat, headache and ear ache. I was seen very quickly (the only plus). I was asked a rapid fire series of questions, had my bp and temp taken and was told the doc would be in soon (which he was). I saw the doctor for less than a minute, he had a strep test done which came back negative. I'm not sure even that was done thoroughly as I didn't feel the swab anywhere in my painfully sore throat! He told me I had a virus, prescribed the steroids and said I'd be fine in 2 days. 6 days later and I have severe bronchitis and an ear infection. The staff was surface friendly but I could tell they were trying to rush me in and out, including the doctor. Please don't bother with your copy/paste "We strive to provide an excellent patient care experience", I've already read it in the other negative reviews. read more

I have been to this location before for scrapes after failing while running. The care was fine. I went in at 8 am September 26 after falling while jogging. The check in procedure was fine. I was at a pain level of 10/10 on my shoulder and upper arm. I could not move my arm without excruciating pain and to non medical eyes, the shoulder appeared dislocated.I also had some minor abrasions on my hands and left knee. My history and vital signs were taken ,but after several attempts and different equipment, they were unable to get a température reading. The nurse practionner came in and moved my left arm, palpitated itand ordered xrays. As the X-ray tech was finishing, I asked if they were getting a shoulder X-ray. She said a shoulder X-ray had NOT been ordered. Only 2 pictures of the upper arm. When the nurse practitioner came back in , she said no broken bones were seen and they were sending me home with a sling and orders for pain medication. I asked about a shoulder X-ray. She said they didn't see any reason for that. At that point my friend and I both said, compare my left and right shoulder . They visibly looked different. She looked and felt the shoulder and said , " well if it will give you peace of mind, we can get an X-ray ".i said yes, I want a shoulder X-ray. They still did not address cleaning my abrasions on hands and knees. After the X-ray was taken, the nurse practitioner came back in and said, " you have a dislocated shoulder. We don't have meds to use for a reduction. We are preparing paperwork for you to go to the ER. " As my family drove me to the ER, I was looking at the paperwork they gave me. When I read the X-ray results a fracture of the left humerus was noted on the X-ray in addition to the dislocation! If I had not insisted on a shoulder X-ray, they would have sent me home with a fracture and dislocated shoulder. I could have suffered serious damage by not being treated in a timely manner. I learned my lesson, never go to urgent care particularly this one if it is something more than sniffles, or minor scrapes. read more
