Bought two cakes for birthday party at home and it traveled well. Delicious, big hit! Our favorite was the Royal Chocolate Cake because of the flavors and crunch, but opinions were split and the other half of the party loved the Chocolate Trio. Chocolate lovers of all ages raved about the cakes! Rich and indulgent slices that pair well with milk. For less than $35 for each cake, it's a phenomenal price for the quality. We've spent more on regular grocery store cakes. No line when we arrived, prompt service. Walked in to buy cakes and didn't pre-order, just picked from case availability.
The Raspberry Chocolate mousse cake was good, but I definitely prefer their regular Chocolate Mousse cake !!!! Not too creamy, perfect texture and heavily chocolaty !!!! Whenever we pick up the cakes, we get the quiche ~~~ as big a piece as a cake, not too salty, and feels & tastes healthy !!!!
5 stars all day long! My friends who live near Nyack have brought me pastries and other items from them over the past few years, which peaked my interest. I think I've gone through at least a dozen boxes of the bite size pastries in the past few years. I would say they are there at least once a week. My favorite are the bite size French pasties. My photo includes and favorite includes the Royal Chocolate, Opera, Fresh Fruit Tartelette, Lemon Meringue Tartelette, White Chocolate Raspberry, and Cappuccino Cup. This bakery is super consistent. They have cakes, tarts, bite size pastries, macaroons and small. Highly recommended, everything is so fresh and tasty.
4.5/5 Pistachio Chocolate Croissant - points deducted because it didn't have crushed pistachios on top that were pictured on others' orders 5/5 Quiche Lorraine: the bacon quiche was our favorite savory out of the three options. The quiche was super fluffy and the bacon added enough depth and flavor. 3/5 Spinach & Mushroom Quiche: not much mushroom flavor - relatively bland. Also not fully reheated through. It was better the next day microwaved and with some of my own garlic confit mixed in. 2/5 Croque Monsieur: it was cold inside, not fully heated. There was very little overall flavor in it. 2.5/5 Chocolate Croissant: standard, chocolate was soft but the croissant wasn't flakey, more bread-y 3/5 Fruit Tart: others loved the fruit tart - the fruit was super tasty and deliciously ripe. The custard was too sweet for me (so if you like sweet desserts it'll be a 10/10). They used actual vanilla bean in the custard instead of just plain extract (you could see the little black dots). The tart crust was thick, nice and crunchy, very cookie-like.
I'm always curious about French pastries near me- so when my friend Jason M. paid them a visit, I wanted to get a hold of them as well- especially since my husband and I were in the area doing some errands. Patisserie Didier D. has a lot to offer beginning with this charming spot located on Main St in Nyack. A cute patio greets you then once you're inside, you see Patisserie D's glass shelves stocked with several kinds of pastries, cakes and those wonderful chocolate chip cookies at eye level (wished these were covered). We were actually in luck when we stopped in 20 minutes before their 2pm closing on a Labor Day Monday- but selection was minimal. Understood. I also wanted to grab a hot chocolate that's made with ganache- but again, I came way late. So no. I got a hold of one of their chocolate chip cookies, an apple tart, a salted caramel mousse tart and a fruit tart. Price was reasonable. The Chocolate Chips in the cookie were the major standout for me because they were ALL around the cookie. And when I popped the Chocolate Chip cookie in my microwave for 15 sec., that shit turned out good. Another home run for me was their salted caramel mousse tart. Hubs liked his fruit tart and the apple tart was a nice highlight. There was a lot I missed especially coming here so late in the day- but any other time let's say, morning or early afternoon on a regular schedule, you'll have more to choose from. I didn't see any breads and I'm sure Patisserie D has a nice selection that are made in-house (I mean...why wouldn't they???). The passion is all here- it just calls for another return.
Love this cafe! Had my daughter's wedding cake made here, so many birthday cakes ordered, imagine my surprise when I ordered 4 Dulce Coco and opened the box and found 4 of the incorrect pastries. Do not get me wrong everything here is delicious, however it was a huge disappointment when my host were expecting another kind of pastry.

Sweets selections are uninspired at the outlets, so I whipped out Yelp and saw that I had Patisserie Didier Dumas bookmarked. I've had this place bookmarked for years, and a quick browse of the photos reminded me why I did do. Since Nyack is on my way home, I decided to stop here to check out their selection. Didier is located on Main St, in what looks like the main commercial hub of Nyack. It's so cute here - I've been to Rockland periodically but never really explored Nyack (mental note for me to return). Anyway, I got a spot right in front of the bakery, and before I knew it I was inside exploring the sweets. The bakery itself has a vintage aesthetic with mostly woods throughout the space. It looks small from the street but there actually is a good amount of space inside - I think I even saw a separate room apart from the main retail area. I took a few minutes to explore the display cases - they had a selection of full-size cakes and tarts, as well as mini pastries and savory quiches. Everything looked great, but ultimately I went with a chocolate chip cookie, apple cranberry crumble, and a mini key lime tart. The pastries were great - the chocolate chip cookie had a good balance of crispy and chewy; the crumble was full of apples and just the right amount of cranberry to provide flavor but not overpower the pastry. The key lime was excellent - just the right amount of tartness with great flavor. Service was good, the employees were friendly and I was taken care of promptly. Overall, I had a great experience at Didier - their pastries are fresh and high quality, and the staff is welcoming. I would definitely return here to explore more of their menu - specifically their coffee and those quiches. Didier is definitely a yes for me.
Wonderful authentic French bakery! I got a delicious twice baked almond croissant and latte and regret not coming back for more croissants to take home. There is a lovely patio with authentic French marble cafe tables that looks down on Main Street. The young woman at the counter (I think her name is Kelsey) is a gem - so helpful and upbeat. Everything is wheelchair accessible, including the restroom! You do have to enter through a separate door that they usually keep locked so I would call ahead or otherwise you'll need to ask someone to get their attention inside.
I've been searching for a French bakery with croissants comparable to the ones I had in France and this may be the closest so far!! The whole place inside and out gives France vibes. They have indoor and outdoor seating and you place your order at the counter. Tables are first come first serve. They have salads, quiches, baguette sandwiches, croissants, cakes, tarts, cookies, coffee, cappuccino...... o am so glad a fellow Yelper pointed me to this great cafe. read more
One of my personal mottos is to never show up empty-handed, and Patisserie Didier Dumas made that an easy promise to keep. I was visiting friends in Nyack and wanted to bring something special instead of the usual bottle of wine or grocery store dessert. This turned out to be exactly the right place. The display case was filled with beautiful French pastries, fortunately, they tasted every bit as good as they looked. What really stood out was seeing so many locals hanging out enjoying coffee and fresh pastries. That's always a good sign that you've found an authentic neighborhood gem rather than just a place catering to visitors. BB read more
For a first time at this apparent Nyack favorite, I didn't love it: many items sold out, things were pricey, the interior felt cluttered and not as clean as it could be, and I was disappointed in the pastries we did get. They had some interesting looking thick quiches, things like croissants, cakes, tarts and macarons (the girl behind the counter corrected my friend by saying "macaroon" which is technically incorrect). I'm a sucker for a good bread pudding but i should have reconsidered since that was the thing they seemed to have plenty of. They didn't heat that or the pear Tartlett up; eating them both cold was unsatisfactory (I know we should have said something but then a line was forming) and I felt sick after eating the bread pudding (perhaps too rich and just too cold and sad). I didn't feel very comfortable in the space, as I was expecting something more quaint and charming vs. old and in need of a makeover and cleaning. This was one experience so I would give it another shot, maybe earlier in the day. Metered street parking or there's a municipal lot around the corner. read more

These are quality , delicious, creative, and irritable pastries. Framboischocolate, hazelnut cream, napoleon, egg quiche, croissants, each one is as good as the others. If you want gluten free, they also have options. read more

Never disappoints! Love this place ever since I discovered this place. Been coming here for special occasions. From birthdays to all celebrations we go here! Servers are nice but the desserts are exceptional. We try to get sweets that we never tried. Will definitely be back! read more

Great place to stop for lunch. It's nice and roomy on the inside, which allows for social distancing. And the food I had was delicious. I had the quiche and cream of mushroom soup. I love mushrooms! The mushroom and goat cheese quiche I had was huge. It was the quiche I will judge other quiches by. I also had an apple pastry that was super fresh and delicious. I hear their apple turnovers are the things to get, and they sell out quickly. Sadly, I missed the chance to try them. read more

A nice selection of authentic French pastries as well as savory delights. Beautiful cakes. Staff is friendly and helpful. It's also a place to grab lunch as they have salads, sandwiches, quiches of the French variety. I highly recommend Patisserie Didier Dumas. read more

This French bakery is great! Has a wide variety of dessert choices. We stopped in while visiting Nyack. We got one of each of the following to try: royal chocolate, chocolate trio, sunflower peach blueberry tart, vanilla eclair, white chocolate raspberry cheesecake, and brasilia (passion fruit dessert). All of the desserts were really good. We shared the desserts we got among 6 of us and couldn't even finish. They are large sizes. My favorite was the royal chocolate and eclair. I liked the sunflower peach blueberry tart as well, but not a big fan of the marzipan stuffing inside the tart. The white chocolate raspberry cheesecake was decadent, but at the same time lighter than other cheesecakes. I would definitely recommend this place. read more
5 stars for crepes, 3 stars for hot chocolate. I tried the Nutella crepe with banana and it was great- both warm and filling. However, my hot chocolate basically tasted like water, which was extremely disappointing. Will try it again, but I won't be getting hot chocolate. read more

I came here yesterday when I was visiting my friends from Cali. Got the salmon sandwich with the assortment of pastries. Everything was so amazing I came back again today to grab another sandwich for my flight home. We split several sandwiches and not one was bad! Amazing place! Today I got a latte, pastry as well. If you're in town this is a much try place! The people are so incredibly friendly and nice!! read more

I've been before and my pastry was fresh and delicious. I was disappointed this time. Pastries were mislabeled and my apple tart was cold and definitely not fresh. The pumpkin pie tarte was also cold and not fresh. Must have been an off day. I'll be back another time and hope they're back to their delicious 5 star pastries. read more

So hard to choose from their delicious variety of desserts! We just want to try them all. The multiple high star ratings for this bakery is well earned and justified. Most of the time when we come, there are lines to order but yet customer service is still efficient. They also have a small sitting area outside which is a plus. We like their macaroons selection but we pretty much go for whatever cravings we have for that day. I guess it all depends on what we are in the mood for. So far, each of our venture has been thoroughly enjoyable with each bite. read more

Fresh, tasty, expertly executed desserts, pastries, and crepes! Staff is friendly and the deserts are like beautiful works of art. I especially love the salmon crepe, the macaroons, and the pear and apple tart, though every single thing I've tasted there has been a winner. They have something for everyone. A box of cookies or one of their small cakes or tarts makes for a nice hostess gift when you're invited to dinner or a welcome addition at any work function. The place is clean and not too large. It's located a short walk from anywhere in Nyack but away from the main action enough to be able to secure a parking space easily. I'm not one for sweets but when the craving strikes, this place hits the spot! I recommend it to everyone I know. This place is a gem. read more

Always come here for a treat. The croissants are amazing. My mom loves the quiche Lorraine. I always have to get her one of her own. She does not share. Every dessert I've tried so far I loved. If ever I'm going to someone's house I stop here to grab some macrons to bring along. The service is always great. If I lived in Nyack I'd be there everyday. read more

Absolutely my favorite place to go for pastries, and a terrific cafe to lounge about and have a slice of quiche and coffee in. Didier is a spacious little bakery, housing sandwiches and crepes for a nice brunch, and a pleasant young staff to accommodate requests at the counter. But you see those photos. You're here for the desserts. Their vast, often-changing (though there are staples featured year-round) array of tarts, pastries, and cakes are visually resplendent and just flat-out terrific. Their pistachio pinwheels are light and flaky until you reach their centers, doughey and full with chocolate. Their creme brule tart light and contrasting with the narrow but rich layer of chocolate, and their strawberry eclair is a mix of light whipped cream and hefty custard, garnished with sliced almonds and powdered sugar. Truly, you could visit Didier and simply marvel at their presentation and be satisfied. But if looking isn't enough, pick a treat and grab more to go! read more

Cute little hidden spot in downtown Nyack. Came in with little expectations and honestly I'm impressed. $5.50 for a big homemade pastry (was unsure if they were homemade or bought but they have a big opening to the kitchen where I was watching someone make macarons) - they were not only beautiful on their own but tasted so so delicious. I tried the Nutella eclair, the key lime tart, and the pavlova. All of them were tasty and delicious. The decor of the place isn't anything but I'm almost wondering if that just adds to its charm.. read more
