I wish it didn't take me almost a year to find this place but I'm so happy I did! First the guy working was very friendly and answered all our questions about what's what! The sweet empanada with vanilla custard was delish! The other sweet breads we had (I can't remember the names) were very good and not dense and heavy- perfect to have with a cup of coffee. The drip coffee was the best I've had in a long while plus they sell the beans! Space is open and clean and well decorated!

We took a spontaneous drive up north and decided to stop to try a local coffee shop - I had never tried Guatemalan coffee/treats so I was excited to try and let me tell you - THEY DID NOT DISAPPOINT! 1st, it smells glorious as soon as you walk in, the hardest part was deciding which pastry to try cause they all looked delicious. Unfortunately I didn't get the name of the Guatemalan pastry but the bread was so delicious & the apple pastry was SO FRESH omg! Honestly I regret not buying one of everything. We had a panelatte which was coffee with brown sugar and molasses & a latte and both were delicious. Very glad to find this gem !

I went with the Americano that featured the Guatemalan coffee beans and added a cookie and a sweet roll.

It was difficult to find as there is a small sign by the driveway leading to the parking lot and restaurant. The building is set in, not by the street, and there was no obvious signage. It looks like a simple house in the parking lot. Upon entering, the room felt quaint and cozy. We were immediately seated as we went during the week and it was quiet. Hubby had the pancakes with sausage and I ordered the omelette. The pancakes were tasty and not dense. The sausages were unfortunately 3 small breakfast sausages. For an additional $4, 2 fat sausages would have been nice. My omelette was good but I don't know if I would call it fluffy. The eggs were flat and the only "fluffy" part maybe that the inside of the omelette was slightly undone. Coffee was nice and rich. I gave this place 4 stars because there was nothing wrong and the food was good. Although this place isn't mind blowing, I think if I lived here it would be a nice regular place for brunch. Definitely a place to try for locals.

My chicken and waffles were excellent, and my wife really enjoyed her omelette. There was plenty of seating and parking nearby, which made things even easier. What really stood out was the staff. My daughter accidentally left her stuffed animal behind, and when I called, they were so kind and helpful in finding it and making sure I could come back to pick it up. That level of care really means a lot. We loved our visit and will definitely be back.

We got here at the exact wrong time with a couple of people ahead of us but after we were seated (35 minutes later), several tables had opened and subsequent folks had zero wait. They have a rather large menu (plus a page of specials) for such a small place that includes breakfast and various egg and pancake dishes, sandwiches, wraps, soups, coffees and teas and sweet items. Items range on average between $10 to 17. Compared to other places in the area, the prices are decent. I enjoyed the chicken Philly sandwich with a salad and the goat cheese and mushroom wrap also got fair reviews (only thing is the mushrooms could have been cooked down a little more). The sweet potato fries weren't oily at all. We got the banana pudding (ok) $6 and the brownie was good but cold. Generally the food is good but probably doesn't use the most quality ingredients and lacks some finesse. The dishes also came on plates that were a bit cramped. They don't seem to have a lot of help around the floor so cleaning up after tables, taking orders and getting your check all aren't quick endeavors. But the server was nice and you feel good supporting a local business. There's a very small foyer and waiting area and it's hard to get someone's attention until they are ready to seat more people. A couple of the tables probably could have been used more efficiently and get customers seated faster (like two people taking up 4 chairs). The parking lot is pretty small and seems like it can fill up. That strip is home to other things like a deli, Thai place, pizza place, nail spa etc. A little further down the road is a small park that has parking as well.

They had some interesting looking thick quiches, things like croissants, cakes, tarts and macarons (the girl behind the counter corrected my friend by saying "macaroon" which is technically incorrect). I'm a sucker for a good bread pudding but i should have reconsidered since that was the thing they seemed to have plenty of. They didn't heat that or the pear Tartlett up; eating them both cold was unsatisfactory (I know we should have said something but then a line was forming) and I felt sick after eating the bread pudding (perhaps too rich and just too cold and sad). I didn't feel very comfortable in the space, as I was expecting something more quaint and charming vs. old and in need of a makeover and cleaning. This was one experience so I would give it another shot, maybe earlier in the day. Metered street parking or there's a municipal lot around the corner.
