We were going to buy a bottle of water but she was honest and said she didn't think they were very cold yet. So we opted not to get that. (For my waist line) I told my younger daughter that we could go anywhere in a half hour radius for dessert tonight. I spent the next half hour on Yelp seeing if I'd missed any amazing spots. My daughter came out of her room and recommended a bike ride to Piermont Creamery. I gladly agreed as I've been meaning to try it. It's a nice and modern shop, cute and small but not claustrophobic. There was a steady stream of customers but the service was quick and polite. My daughter got a single scoop cookies and cream and I went with a triple scoop "medium". The scoop sizes are generous. I selected sea salt caramel, cannoli chocolate chip, and rum raisin. The fact that they make their own ice cream became readily apparent upon my first bite. Super high quality, rich and creamy, the flavors are pronounced. As we were sitting there, my older daughter walked up with her group of friends. How are there no reviews yet for this ice cream shop. I'm glad they enforce one party at a time in the shop because unruly people are persisting to not wear a mask anymore. Anyways not gonna get into that here. Ice cream is wonderfully creamy without being too sweet. They are heavy on their servings too which means more in my tummy! They also have Thai iced tea and a watermelon basil slush for the non ice cream eaters. There is also one vegan flavor a week available. Follow them on social media for each week's flavors. The girl threw sass, looks, and attitude . Like "ughhhhhhh I said it's only 2 samples per customer don't you get it". Damn it's 1 extra sample. It costs 0.01 cent literally. Came last month, March, and had the black raspberry ice cream. I liked it. Today I am having a strawberry and I don't taste the strawberry at all. Love how creamy it is, but again, very little strawberry flavor. Paid $8.00 for a small size on the bigger sugar cone. Not worth it. Also, their website says open from 1pm. I was here at 2pm and it was closed. They told me when the weather is not too good, the may open late, sometimes 2pm, 5pm. Today is just cloudy. You better call to see if they are open, specially when you are driving from the other side of the river. Me, I am not coming back. Before choosing strawberry I tried the Rum ... and the Caramel Salt something... same lack of flavor. The salted caramel had neither salt nor caramel flavor. The cannoli tasted like vanilla- as did the salted caramel. As for stuff...if you advertise WITH chocolate truffles, there damned well better be some truffle stuff in there.
