We had tried to go here a couple of times, but it was always so crowded! But on our last night, we looked in, and it was empty. We ventured in and sat at the bar. I can't remember her name, but our bartender was really friendly. There were two women sitting at the end of the bar, and they were celebrating one of their birthdays...like us! So champagne for everyone! We had a great conversation and an older gentleman joined us and it was just a great way to end our visit. I also like the fact that it's adjacent to the Hotel Mazarin where we were staying. Definitely worth checking out!

Grabbed wine with a friend while we were near Bourbon. Place was very elegant and is connected to a hotel lobby. Service was friendly and helped us come to a decision even though last call was in 5 minutes. The views were great and we sat outside next to the fountain. The vibes inside were nice, I just love a drink in the dimly lit lobby. I would come back!

I had a great catch-up with friends at Patrick's Bar Vin recently and loved the whole experience. It was Sunday evening so their small plate menu was not on offer but we didn't mind. We shared cocktails and caught up on all that's been happening in our lives. Though it was Sunday, there were little groups of friends scattered around all deep in conversation. It's worth it to take a gallery walk through Bar Vin just to admire the decor and if you've got some time, ask for a glass of Patrick's Best Kept Secret and settle in for a while.

This is a GEM right off Bourbon Street. They have lots of comfy seating for groups in 2 rooms and outside. We went on a Sunday night and only a few other people were there which was hard to find in this area! They have a long list of wines, beers, and cocktails. The bartender was awesome and made the best ever French 75 with cognac!!! We will absolutely be back on our next trip to Nola!!!

Cozy wine bar with great drinks and a beautiful courtyard right near the beginning of bourbon street. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink or two after trying many of the amazing restaurants in the quarter or before a night on bourbon.

Such a great ambiance! Definitely reminds you of an old school wine bar in Europe. Love the vibe of this place! We stayed at Hotel Mazarin so spent many evenings in there or in our adorable hotel courtyard.

One of the best spots in town to snag a glass of wine & savor a cigar in their courtyards. Patrick van Hoorebeck recently made my birthday so special. A snowed out January evening with nowhere to go, he decorated a little spot for my boyfriend and I to sip delicious rosé champagne of the 2025 Krewe of Cork's Grand Marshal, JCB. He and his staff made the day truly special and celebratory on a cold & dreary day.

This bar is located in the Mazarin Hotel where we stay when we go to New Orleans, and it's still one of our favorite places to enjoy a drink and the eclectic atmosphere of the interior with all of its fascinating and interesting displays everywhere. The staff are fantastic and friendly, and they know how to pour a fantastic cocktail or two.

Patrick treated us to the BEST street party tonite after Jazz Fest. After dinner we were walking back to our hotel and heard the horns and the wine bottle drums and ran to join the party! What a treat! Thank you Patrick!

Fun place! Came here twice in the last year! Comfy seating and fun chasing of the bells party ! Loved seeing all of the outfits and hats people come up with!

As a wine bar aficionado I can't believe that I just now discovered Patrick's Bar Vin. In my defense, it's a little closer to Canal than I typically venture, and attached to a hotel, but what a discovery it was! Super chill vibe. Awesome service. Comfy seating in a couple different inside areas or in the smaller courtyard at the main entry or the larger one to the side. Amazing wine list. Bacchanal is more my scene, and Orleans Grape Vine has much better food offerings, but for a glass of wine (or a bottle) and possibly a cheese tray, Patrick's is sure to please. It's also the home base for Krewe of Cork, complete with their posters from the past, which is an added bonus.

Rich, layered, and well-balanced with fresh elements that worked together on the plate. For entrées, we had a variety of cuts, including the Australian Wagyu, ribeye, butcher's cut, and lamb chops. The Wagyu stood out immediately. High quality, great sear, and finished tableside, which added to the overall experience without taking away from the food itself. Each steak was cooked precisely to temperature and full of flavor. The lamb chops paired with carrots and brussels were well executed and balanced. The sides complemented the meal well and did not feel like afterthoughts. You can also see their in-house dry aging setup, which speaks to the level of detail they put into their steak program. It shows in the final product. The drinks were solid across the board. The Old Fashioned and bourbon selections paired well with the meal and matched the food's quality. Service by Noelle was attentive and responsive throughout the night. Everything flowed well, and we were taken care of without feeling rushed or hovered over. This is not a casual dinner spot, but for a celebration or a night where you want a full experience, Doris Metropolitan absolutely delivers.

Overall, the experience was average and did not fully meet those expectations. The charcuterie and cheese board, priced at $68, was underwhelming in both portion size and value. It included only six thin slices of cured meat and a small selection of cheeses. Unfortunately, one of the cheeses had an unpleasant flavor that made it inedible for our table. The bread service was a highlight, offering a nice variety of breads and accompaniments. The ribeye was cooked well and enjoyable, but it did not stand out from what I've experienced at other upscale steakhouses. The five-cheese couscous was the biggest disappointment, as it lacked the rich, flavorful profile its description suggested. While the service and presentation were appreciated, the overall dining experience did not justify the high expectations or the price point.

Needless to say, this wouldn't be suitable for anyone who isn't comfortable with that kind of artwork. This place advertises burlesque shows and "Shibari", however I did not see any of that during my visit. I do not dock points though because I'm certain there's a schedule that shows when these events occur. If you're interested in seeing one, best to make sure when they're taking place. There are security cameras all over the bar so this location can remain sex-positive and safe for guests. After ordering myself a drink, I chose to relax in their bright pink room with the large bean bag and teddy bear. This was my favorite spot for its light-hearted and playful atmosphere, although the room next to it was pretty exciting as well--with its black-and-white paintings of kinky exhibitionists. During my visit, I noticed that there was a collection of leftover glasses from previous guests. Since it was a slow Sunday night, I thought there would've been ample time for an employee to clean up that area beforehand. There was one barista that night, and while she was kind and made excellent cocktails, her voice was really low--making it difficult to hear her over the music. I'm glad the bar was empty, or else I may have not been able to hear her properly. Aside from those minor concerns with cleanliness and communication, I'd still say to give Fetiche Nola a shot if you're looking for a unique place to start off a long night of partying. The brick and iron work inside the restaurant was stunning, and the tables and settings helped the gothic vibe. Soft light shone through caged windows, but just enough for the restaurant to still feel like a dimly lit hideaway. The food menu has vegetarian options which are clearly marked, I ordered the veggie burger. It was stacked with two patties and marked with a V, an order of potato chips were served on the side. It was a generous plate and that had me at first bite, the food was delicious. Unfortunately they were out of their infamous blood bags, which both the hostess and server were kind enough to let us know. The upside to that is they have an excellent blood themed cocktail menu. I ordered the B+ whiskey cocktail, also called blood and sand, which probably gets its name from the demura sugar crystals that were sitting in the bottom of the martini glass. Served with a cherry, this is a sweet and fun drink. My friend was celebrating her birthday, so our server offered her a birthday shot, which was made with bailey's, kaluah, and something else I can't recall. I had a sip, it tasted quite nice. I'm always drawn to unique dining experiences, so this felt like a must-try. While I expected the atmosphere to lean a little more heavily into the vampire theme, I was pleasantly surprised by what really stood out--the food. The food was shockingly good. A lot of themed restaurants rely on the novelty and the food can end up being mediocre, but that was definitely not the case here. My husband ordered the pork chop with teriyaki sauce, and it was absolutely delicious--so much so that he talked about it for two days afterward. I had the burger with homemade chips, and both were outstanding. The chips were especially memorable; I honestly wish I knew how they made them because I'd love to have them again. The staff was just okay--not rude, but not especially warm or welcoming either. On the positive side, the prices were decent for the quality of food. Overall, if I'm back in New Orleans, I would definitely return for the amazing food alone.

Though pop-up showers were still lingering, my husband and I decided to take a gamble on courtyard dining--and I am so glad we did! Sheltered under the green umbrellas surrounded by historic brick walls, lush greenery, and rain-kissed citrus trees, the atmosphere was incredibly romantic and peaceful. The courtyard's intimate layout even brought a bit of extra magic to our evening. We sat near another wonderful couple (and their adorable daughter) and became fast friends, sharing laughs and conversation throughout the night. What truly anchored the experience, though, was the incredible service. The staff was remarkably personable, helpful, and welcoming. The dinner itself was excellent from start to finish, showcasing immense culinary skill across every dish. We started with the delicious brussels sprouts and a uniquely seasoned spring/summer gumbo that was unlike any version we've had before (oh, what I would give for the recipe). As for the entrées, the shrimp and grits were phenomenal, and the blackened catfish sandwich with a fresh salad was executed flawlessly...and the bread pudding was fantastic, too! The salmon was crispy on the outside with a nice sauce over it. We thought we'd have time to get dessert so we ordered a couple but that too took a very long time. We finally waved down our server to cancel and get the check since we had to be somewhere and he apologized and said their WiFi was going in and out so it could be that it was registering on the kitchen side. That may have explained why our entrees took too long. If it wasn't for the service and the food being great - I would not be thrilled about timing.
