We stopped by because we heard it was a cool place. For the love of vampires she wanted to stop by. Cool environment with a nice bar. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The food options were few and we only stopped in for a burger. Also the blood bag cocktails. Overall I would say the food was average. The drink should have been chilled, it would have been better. We liked the experience but most likely wouldn't come back for the food. Drinks, yes. Tshirt, yes. Enjoy!

We came in for apps & dessert- the creme brûlée was outstanding. The little chocolate bats were good, dark chocolate. The Brussels were more steamed or boiled and not roasted- the flavor was ok, they had a soggy texture. The staff members were professional and prompt. The decor was nice- classy.

I came here to get the blood Bag drink, and that turned out really good. I also ended up splitting a breakfast burger since we had already eaten before getting here, but it was still very good. I do wish the egg had been a little more runny, but overall everything tasted great. My favorite part was definitely the little potato chips on the sideI loved the crunch, and they were perfectly salted. The atmosphere was great too. I really liked the vampire theme throughout the place, and even the little map on the table added a fun touch to the experience.

What a fun experience while visiting NOLA. Their menu had a great selection of food, dessert and drinks (though the blood bags are what everyone goes for!) note that the blood bags are incredibly popular and there are occasions where they will sell out completely. I visited with three others and we shared several apps, tried the regular blood bags and the nonalcoholic version. Everything was good, the atmosphere dark and cozy, and the staff friendly. Prices are a bit high but you're in a touristy area so you're paying for that.

Grabbed a blood bag and a few other drinks togo. Make a reservation before coming here, it gets busy even during the off season. The bartender was really nice, giving us a speak easy card for another cool spot to find. The vampire cafe has moody cafe vibes where people of all ages could enjoy.

When in NOLA, do something spooky. With a day full of voodoo museums and cemetery tours, we decided to start our day at the Vampire Cafe for some breakfast. The space has a great vibe and we enjoyed the atmosphere while we waited for some friends. We started with a blood bag cocktail which was fun! They also had a good wine selection. The lunch and dinner menu looked great, but we were here early so we were limited to breakfast. I decided on the shrimp and grits. The shrimp and gravy were great, but I found the grits to be bland. Service was great, I would return here for lunch or dinner for sure!

Vegetarian coconut red curry with tofu & rice

First time came to NOLA and this restaurant for lunch. The dish didn't have coconut taste or blend in at all but sour. I suspected the tofu was not fresh but sour. The Caesar salad tasted awful. It took long the food ready to bring to our table. Server's service ok! Dining area was small. The seafood gumbo was ok but the Rice was like not cook done. One star was only for the server's service. ~~ 7/1/26

Is there a better way to follow up a night time ghost and vampire tour and dinner at the Vampire Cafe? I think not! We have been to this place before I'm previous visits, and wanted to bring our son who came with us on this trip. The building is, like all the others in the French quarter, an old brick building. There's exposed brick and lots of iron work and sparkly chandeliers. I love that in the window the bottles of wine have vampire capes. You have to pay attention to this small details - the red napkins are folded in the shape of the heart with the silverware making a cross. We have been told that the owner of this restaurant says she is a vampire who is over 200 years old. The drinks are all mean for blood types, so you order an A-, B+, O-, etc. there are some blood back drinks, one of which is the red fang-ria, which I ordered. Hubby and son ordered the shrimp and grits with andouille sausage, and I got the alligator po' boy sandwich with housemade chips. Everything was yummy, especially my alligator! Is a great place to go if you're a vampire lover, or at least a vampire story lover. You get vampire bite tattoos for your neck when you leave--if you love that, then this is your place!

We're from Southern California, came out here for a comedy festival; Skankfest. For Saturday we had time on our hands in the morning before the festival. The name of the restaurant of course caught our eye so gave it a try. Friend wasn't really hungry but convinced him to buy a drink. I was hungry so got the French toast. Eat a lot of French toast when eating out for breakfast and brunch at restaurants and it was good. Nothing amazing but it did its job. That's as far as the food goes. But you come here more so for the ambience. Honestly , thought the atmosphere or ambience of the restaurant would be more impactful. More so, it feels as though not too much was put into it, but it was still cool. Could be that our server was great. Forgot her name but she was attentive and we enjoyed her insight into gothic stuff as well as New Orleans and the restaurant. While we were just passing through and kind of making it quick, our server made the experience more enjoyable. Menu for the food is limited, but it's a decent theme restaurant. But only if you are looking for a simple meal. Would say if you want a fuller experience , probably somewhere else. But if you want something a little themed and something simple, this a good spot to give a try.

O- Blackberry Mojito at Vampire Cafe Nola
    Curtis Y.

The baked brie was very good. The alligator poboy was awesome. A bit chewy, like a skirt steak, but the flavor..Wow! The blackberry mojito was nice and tart.. not syrupy sweet like some others. After tip the bill for ONE person was just shy of $80.00. Expensive.. but it's Nola. The service was top notch.

Fun place to visit when in NOLA. Fun vampire theme. You can grab blood bags to go or dine in. We went on a Saturday for their brunch. I ordered the chicken and waffles it came with a siracha maple syrup. I asked for mine on the side. The waffles were dry without it. It would have been nice to be offered a plain syrup. The chicken was tasty but came on the bone so I had my hubby de-bone it. Hubby ordered the steak and eggs. The portion was a good portion. The steak was a little more on the rare side. The potatoes and eggs were tasty, and the salad was fresh. They have alcoholic and nonalcoholic blood bags. My friend got the sangria blood bag. I ordered the nonalcoholic pomegranate one. It was fun and tasty! They have a sister restaurant that does tea leave readings. Fun place to check out when in NOLA.

Great spot for a quick bite. We ordered: - AB+ sazerac - O- blackberry mojito; sooo yummy, but don't drink with a straw (seeds at the bottom of the glass) - shrimp and grits; hands down the BEST thing I ate my entire visit in NOLA - dracula burger; the meat was good but the bread was way too thick Molly was our server and she was really nice!

    Don't order this

Our server was so much fun. He kept those mimosas coming. I had the vampire breakfast burger and it was soo good. The entire cafe is adorable and a great spot for some photos. We were seated quickly and the food was all delicious and made quickly. My only complaint was the absinthe in a can to go. That was the worst thing I have ever tasted lol we left them on the table and barely took a sip.

We were seated in the upstairs area and tried some of their drinks. We got the Brandy Crusta which is their most popular drink and the Pouvez-Vous Poulet which is a seasonal cocktail. The Brandy Crusta has the cup dipped in sugar with a fairly strong cocktail within. Definitely get this when you are here as that is one of the best Brandy Crustas and is historical. The Pouvez-Vous Poulet is a duck fat washed rum cocktail and is also very delicious. You cannot really go wrong with any cocktail, but definitely order the Brandy Crusta for the true experience here. Though, honestly, while the cocktails are good, it was not as memorable as the other Top 50 Best Bars in the World that I have been to, but I won't dock a star off because of this, since the cocktails and overall experience otherwise were fantastic. Service is good but can be a bit slow, but it is an acceptable tradeoff for a more quiet ambience compared to downstairs.

While I knew of the drink French 75, on the bar menu it was offered with either gin or cognac. I decided to try the cognac and so glad I did. Perfectly delicious! While the Sazerac wasn't invented here, this is arguably its most iconic home, a place where New Orleans cocktail history comes to life. I would use this version as your gold standard when dining out in New Orleans and looking for a perfect Sazerac. We enjoyed watching bartender Rachel craft each drink. Rye whiskey, Peychaud's Bitters, and sugar are stirred in a small pitcher with ice. The serving glass is chilled, then emptied, and finished with an absinthe rinse along the rim. The cocktail is strained into the glass and topped with a lemon peel. The atmosphere makes the experience even better. The murals, the history, and the energy of the room give it a sense of occasion that you do not get at most bars.
