Had a horrible experience with Patriot. We hired them to replace our soffit, fascia, and gutters. The person who quoted the job only included material and labor for about half the work to be completed. After several change orders and numerous calls on my part to get the correct materials to complete the job, the total cost of the project was almost double what was originally quoted. Now less than a year after the work was completed, there are several spots where the soffits are falling away from the fascia and they are not willing to send someone to fix their work. We have had several home renovation projects recently and have hired several different contractors. Patriot has been by far the worst we have dealt with. They ended up being our most expensive option after all the change orders, they had poor communication, poor planning, and we received little to no resolution once their quoting error was discovered. To top it off, now that their work is failing, they are not sending anyone to fix it and make it right. My lessons learned from this experience: Get multiple quotes and take one of the middle options. Hire a contractor that has their own workers, no subcontractors. You might pay a little more for the work to be done, but it will be done right. read more

I had water damage due to a burst water pipe. My insurance company recommended Patriot for drywall, paint, flooring, vanity, and moldings. First issue with them was the time it took them to complete the job. A maybe two-week job took more than 6 months! They use and rely mainly on sub-contractors. Next issue: About 40% of the drywall that was supposed to be replaced as per contract was not done. Of the 4 rooms and 3 closets to be drywalled as per contract, 2 rooms and 0 closets were actually done. We agreed to eliminate the amount that I overspent on flooring by not drywalling 2 closets. Then Dan said that "the 3rd closet won't be drywalled because the inside of the front door was painted". Yes, he actually said that! The foyer and the bathroom were not drywalled although the contract specified drywalling those areas. Next issue: Door moldings. The contract called for new moldings but all the old ones were put back on - all 210 board feet. They said caulking the old nail holes costs as much as new molding. Give me a break!! Before they put the old molding back on, I sorted out and took all the old nails out. I might add that I painted all the baseboard heat vents and covers in all 4 rooms myself - ca. 56 feet. Then Dan and Jeremy called and said they will pay me an additional ca. $150.00. I NEVER SAW IT. I feel they owe me the $150.00 plus a fair reimbursement for the work not done per the contract (drywall 2 rooms and new door moldings). Overall we had a very good experience with Patriot. We purchased a new gas log fireplace from Cricket on the Hearth. They referred us to Patriot. It took a little while for them to return our call but eventually everything worked out. It was quite obvious that they were extremely busy and returning calls timely was a problem. The actual work done by Nate was outstanding. He was meticulous in his workmanship. He was also extremely patient in going over the options for replacing the tiles and hearth. We are so happy with the result & would advise anyone to give them a chance. But be patient as it still is crazy getting any contractors to stick to timelines as the pandemic continues. read more

They gave me a contract in May to start mid July. It's almost mid September and I've been ghosted after several promised call backs.

This was an insurance job caused to a finished basement area by a burst water pipe. It consisted of electrical, drywall repairs, painting and reinforcement of creaky basement stairs. Project involved about 15 man hours of labor which includes approximately 6 hours for carpet installation, so really, it's a rather small repair job. At no time did Patriot take the lead in moving the job along by scheduling or otherwise moving the job to its conclusion. I had to contact them several times to get them moving. Today, I scheduled the carpet installation with the carpet company directly as the 'project manager' who was to do that last week did not and is away for this week. They have been aware for weeks that the job's completion is a must in August as I will be using the space to recuperate from Sept. 5 surgery. The electrical work was done quickly and well. The drywall and paint were butchered to the point that wall board that they installed had to be removed and reinstalled, and the painter got so much accent color on door frames that It too had to be redone. Most irritating is that if it was left to the project managers the job would not be done within the important time period that was clearly discussed several times. The Patriot staff are VERY nice but there seems to be little communication amongst those in the office or with their sub contractors. I would find it very difficult to recommend patriot read more

Called for a quote and they couldn't get here for a week. Cancelled the first appointment. Rescheduled. After we waited 45 minutes, we called to confirm that he was still coming. The office was closed/ The website says they're open until 5 but the phone message says that they close at one. After we cancelled the appointment they tried to reach us to reschedule but if you have this much trouble just getting a quote, chances are they're not going to be very good showing up to do the work. Horrendous service and quality of work, wouldn't recommend them to my worst enemy. Called them last year when we had 2 leaks inside from ice dams. It took me MANY weeks of phone calls to both the one who did the quote and the office to actually get the quote to my insurance. It was like pulling teeth to get them to do the "work." I should've known then due to the awful service and communication or lack thereof. They came out and said roof looked great and they'd fix the inside that needed work in 2 different spots. I worked with my insurance for the claim. I wrote a review last year but it was deleted. Somehow they claimed they cut out all the bad dry wall on ceilings, replaced, sanded and painted all in 1 day while my wife was working downstairs and never heard any noise but their radio. They just sanded and painted and didn't fix anything. Owner came out and told us we didn't know what we were talking about and we had to take their word that it was fixed. Fast forward to a year later, yellow circles and mold on the inside spots that they "fixed" and we get a roof quote and 2 different companies are amazed that Patriot said our roof looked great because it needs to be replaced and they were appalled when we said it was supposedly fixed on the inside and there's yellow circles showing nothing was fixed just painted over. This company has plenty of other bad reviews but don't waste any money on them, they're rude and don't fix anything. They could offer me a free roof and I'd turn it down and gladly pay a company full price for quality work and great customer service. Don't make the same mistake I did and rely on this company. read more

The WORST company I have ever worked with! I used them for an insurance claim and they were on preferred list. Customer service, responsiveness, price, follow through, communication and most importantly, quality of work warrant a negative review!! The only time they were conscientious was when they were waiting for the final payment from insurance (which we had not yet received); they harassed me daily looking to pick up final payment ... apparently, they don' t trust customers to mail payments! Minus 100, if there was that score. they will not show up for work. It's 8 weeks since water leak affecting whole house. They are impossible to deal with. They will not give start or end date. Now 12 weeks since water leak and they have done NOTHING. They blame me every step of the process, for their inability to do any work. Guess they realized they don't know how to do the work. They DON'T keep their word and don't call back. They create situations that are probably not even true, like asbestos. I have found a couple of great contractors and appreciate them so much. Starting to get some work accomplished. Hope the state INVESTIGATES him, in his contract, he wants full payment before work is done. It usually is done after walk thru, but when they don't start, they'll never finish. The New York State division of consumer affairs should investigate. BEWARE read more

The installer from Patriot did beautiful work and we love our new vanity. However, we don't plan to work with this company again. We do realize they are under unusual pressures due to the pandemic. But communications with us were unclear and frustrating. Patriot volunteered very little information. Their communications among themselves seemed almost not to exist, so that added to our confusion. Also, we were required to store the new 60" vanity in its big box, as well as its boxed top and other supplies, once everything had arrived at the supplier's. Patriot knew this was likely to happen but did not let us know until we got an urgent phone call. We live in a small townhouse with a small dining area and that's where the vanity sat for a full month, through the holiday season. The business could have been up front and let us know at the outset - that would have made the situation a little easier to take. Installation would have happened earlier but no knowledgeable person had looked at the space or plumbing situation before deciding how long the work would take. So it had to be postponed for another week and a half. The installer left all the debris from the project on our small deck out back without saying whether it would be cleared away, so we had to ask for that, adding that once the mess was gone, we'd pay off our balance. read more

I had someone come out to quote a small partial roof replacement and small bathroom ceiling. He said he would get me an estimate in a week. After over a month I called and he admitted he forgot. That's acceptable but, the quote was 5000 dollars for the roof and 2000 dollars for the bathroom ceiling. The insurance company quoted 5000 for the WHOLE job! Bunch of con artist. read more

If you're looking for a roofer.... NEVER EVER USE PATRIOT CONSTRUCTION FOR YOUR ROOF. Marty just was up there to check on the chimney because things didn't look quite right. Thank God it didn't tip over or burn the house down. When Patriot did the roof they really screwed up the chimney and brackets. Obviously not putting it back where it was, bending it and just really screwing it up. When they did the roof a few years back they never cut holes for the ridge vent, never patched old vents, didn't cut edge vents, the vendor for the shingles had to come out and tell the owner the shingles were not put on correctly (the owner insisted they were right), they messed up the rolled roof on the porch when they had to go up and fix their first mistakes...and now this. Plus the project manager did not manage the project at all. So people, here's a reminder to find a GOOD, HONEST company for your roof. Patriot IS NOT IT. read more

Contacted PC for a siding job. Rep came out, took measurements and told me that someone from the office will contact me in a day or two to set up an appointment for me to come in and go over details and options for the job. Eight days later I get a call !! EIGHT DAYS !! REALLY?!! Apparently punctuality is not important with this company. Told rep on the phone that I was not interested. Went with a lesser known company that did what they said they were going to do when they said they'd do it. read more
