I wish we had better options around prescott because this is the worst trash service I have ever had. There were several missed pick up, broken cans, spilt trash left in front of my house etc. When I finally did cancel I had already paid ahead and have been waiting for 3 months for my refund. Worst garbage service I have ever encountered. Patriot disposal is Discount Garbage. They will forget to pick up your garbage weeks in a row. They will not show up if it is raining or snowing, even if the roads are clear and any other services including propane trucks have no issues. They will also say they do not give refunds or credits, which is bizarre as they are stealing by charging for something they are not actually providing. Horrendous experience, especially from animals after a while getting into the garbage cans and garbage as it stacks up week after week. Terrible service when arranging for trash bag pick up! I have arranged the pick up of extra bags 3 weeks in a row and nobody ever took the bags. Have complained to management and they said they would send drive back to pick up. Driver drove by 2 hours later but did not stop! I'm stuck with no options. I pay for two trash cans and Patriot and now WM only picks up one. The on-line service does not deal with this issue and there is no way to leave a message or contact anyone. I canceled our service when we moved. I asked about a refund for the balance of the service we would not use for the remaining service period. Instead of issuing a refund, they said I needed to send them a letter requesting one. I was also told email won't do. Excuse me? I have to ask for my money back in writing? I have to spend time composing a letter, spend the time mailing-it, and pay postage? Regardless, I did -- more for the principle. Three months later, nothing...nada. Inexcusable. We have used Patriot Disposal since 2007 and consider them 5 Stars all the way... Robert has been our driver and is always there to empty our 2 to 4 cans per week , never leaving a mess or trash on the street.. I always try to give Robert a "Thank You" and a small tip when I see him but he is always promptly early at our home and has never skipped us in all these years.. We have found the office staff to very easy to deal with and Vicki stands out as our "go to person".. Awful service. After moving from the area I requested a refund for two separate trash service accounts. I was told it would take four to six weeks for a refund check. I finally received one of the refunds but not the other. It's now going on ten weeks and still the check hasn't arrived. I called two days in a row and received voice mail. As a result I filed a complaint with BBB. I then attempted again to call Patriot again. I actually spoke with a live person and requested to speak with the owner. She called me back with what I describe as a demanding and unprofessional tone and insisted I was preventing the refund from being processed because I requested a penalty be added to the refund. Of course if a customer is late making a payment they are accessed a late fee, so why not make Patriot pay a late fee for not processing a refund. Anyway there was no apology for the refund delay. She then eventually hung up on me because I put her on hold. read more

Don't trust this company. One of their drivers went off the road and damaged a culvert and underground drainage pipe. They keep promising that they will fix it, it never happens. Only giving one star because there isn't a zero star. We pay on time. Have 2 cans. The driver was "punishing " us for putting our cans in a way he dis not like, we did not know we were doing it wrong. The driver refused to get our cans today because they were near the mailbox- it is extremely windy and they were blowing over. We get no credit nor refund even though there was no pick up. Any issues that we have talked to the( Jim) manager about, he will not address the drivers at all. He does not care that we get poor service. Very non customer friendly. We are changing companies. I have no idea why, but they picked up all the trash cans besides mine. I called multiple times to have them come back out and was told every time that they would be out to get it that day, they never showed. Called in after the weekend and they could care less that I never received the service I had paid for. We switched over to Discount Disposal which was owned by Patriot. About a year and a half later, Patriot trucks are now servicing our property. Not sure if they have left the Discount name behind or not. But, I can say that they are here every week without fail. Great service, reasonable pricing and I love that they do single stream recycling. The recycling aspect is the only reason that we switched over from Wingfield. Thanks for all you guys do. They are always on time - between 8 to 8:30. One day my trash was missed for some reason - it's always out the night before, so it wasn't that I forgot to take it out - but I called, received an apology ( not a snarky attitude ) and they sent a truck out the next day to empty it out. Scoundrels. I was late on a payment (only one in six years as a customer). My computer had died, which took a couple of weeks to remedy. I had paperless communication set up with them and relied on my computer for billing, etc. Anyway, they called me, I explained the situation, and immediately paid through my bank online. The bank mailed Patriot a check that somehow got delayed 2 weeks in the mail=?. Patriot called me again and I immediately paid them directly over the phone with a debit card, which they quickly cashed. Since I just paid, I cancelled the check. However, Patriot finally received the check and tried to cash it even though they knew I had already paid. Then Patriot told me I was liable for a $50 "returned check" fee that was apparently charged by the bank. I refused because they were already paid, they berated me on the phone, and cancelled my service. I immediately arranged for trash pickup with another company. read more

I ordered 2 johns for a Mountain Bike Race at Pioneer Park. I gave the receptionist the address as well as specific directions where to drop the johns. I still have no idea where the driver dropped them, but they were no where near Pioneer Park. They refuse to reimburse me because I was at work and didn't answer my phone to give the driver directions AGAIN. Apparently the receptionist never gave the driver the directions or he simply didn't understand them. Very bad customer service!! read more

We have a vacation home in Prescott Valley, and it was my understanding that I could pay quarterly in advance and suspend service at any time. I did that, and yet I always had a balance owing rather than a credit. The final straw was when I suspended service and the driver did not follow directions noted in the file. He couldn't find the trash can, which was in front of the garage exactly where I said it would be. I was charged for the extra two weeks because of his incompetence! I was also told that I would be charged $15 each time they dropped off the can, and $15 when they picked it up - in addition to the quarterly fee. I told Jim that I wished to cancel and receive my credit of about $22. It was pulling teeth to find out how much my credit was. I also emailed my request to Patriot. It has been 30 days andI have received nothing. Very shady. read more

I got a used trash can instead. They told me they were out of new trash cans. Everywhere I have lived and started with a new trash service they always give u new cans. I have also experienced issues receiving my bill via email and have now gone to a hard copy. They did not pick up my trash last week because I did not pay the bill I never received. I had a late charge of $10 and asked them to pick up my trash the nest day. They said they would for an additional $20. I asked that all the fees be credited and they refused. I'd have scored no stars if I could. They suck out loud. Any company today who relies solely on snail mail to communicate with their customers does not deserve to be in business. Here's what happened recently. The CC used for our account expired. For virtually every business we deal with today, this would've triggered an SMS message, e-mail, or even a phone call to address the situation and avoid a disruption in service. No, no, no, not, these asshats sent a letter via US snail mail. Well, we didn't get that letter until after the scheduled pick up day, and even when my wife straightened it out on the phone with them while the cucksocker driver was right in front of the house, he didn't pick up the trash. When my wife called back, "Oh, we couldn't get in touch with him." WTF kind of business relies on drivers for virtually every aspect of their business can't contact their drivers? Their response, "We'll pick up next week and any overflow bags you may have." We go through a shitload of trash, and now had to have it sitting around all week, and now it's pickup day again and these POS's still haven't arrived despite it being after 1:00PM. If they do not pick up today I am dropping all of it off on their doorstep. read more

Patriot Disposal has the worse customer service and trash pick-up service I have ever experienced. For example, I put three paper bags of yard waste/debris in front of my house at the curbside. However, when I looked outside on the day of pick-up for Yard Waste on Monday 8-3-20, half of one of the bags was dumped in the road in front of my house! I have tried repeatedly to call the company, but I was put on hold forever. As a result, I just hung-up because I have work to do outside! Why Ashburn Farm HOA hired these losers, I just don't know. So, three of us neighbors are in a little enclave and need garbage service. Patriot disposal agreed to do a dumpster for us. The agreement was for three years, No cancellation by either party. Service for three months was perfect, we were very happy. Suddenly last week Kay called to inform us that we were out of their service area and service was cancelled because they didn't realize it when the agreement was made. (That's a fine point on the boundary area pencil, they pick up less than one mile away) The agreement also says that cancellation was only to take place after three years, and with 60 days written notice. So, three months out of 3 years is deemed fulfillment of their commitment. Apparently they take their end of commitments very lightly. I find it odd that a company so well run doesn't know where it's "service boundaries" are. The driver never mentioned anything out of the ordinary about our stop. No wonder so many are having trouble getting refunds or damage repaired, follow through seems to be a weak point in their organization. On my last interaction with the driver, I gave him a big tip for outstanding performance during these trying times. Right after that, my service was cancelled. Sad. Bottom line, low rating due to the failure to live up to their commitment. I also find the polarization of the reviews suspicious. read more

Where's Waldo? Imagine my surprise when I received a call from Jeff at Patriot disposal asking if we were missing a rooster. Apparently Waldo had crawled into a neighbors large trash container, and went away with the trash pickup. They sent us a picture so we could verify it was Waldo. They even drove him back home. It doesn't happen very often that I forget to take my two large trash containers to the curb on Thursdays for my weekly pickup. Usually, I take them out Wednesday afternoon in the event that I do forget. But not this week. I started working my nightshift this Wednesday and the day had different events that prevented my normal routines. So I took a nap about one o'clock and before I did was thinking oh, forgot to take out the trash. I'll take it out in the AM when I get home from work. But, it was a brisk 43 degrees out this morning, in a t-shirt that's a bit chilly. I forgot the trash. After getting up from sleeping, I now remembered the trash. I asked my wife if the truck came through yet? Yes it did. I called Patriot Disposal and spoke with Vickie and told her my demise, she checked with the drivers and they were out of my area. Then, asked if my bins were full, which they were, she called her drivers again. One of them took the opportunity to come back and empty my bins, thank you! My wife had clipped a few more yard bags of clippings and loading them into the already full containers I took my trash out to the road. In the meantime, clipping away, she had filled two more bags from a pile under the trees. Upon hearing the truck driving up, she brought the two bags over but they wouldn't stay in the containers. Well, the driver hops out and puts the bags into an empty container for her and she is pleased. Thanking the kind driver she returns to do more clipping. Now you know and I know that the Patriot Disposal truck drivers do that with extra bags all the time, but my wife didn't. To her, the driver was a kind man and if I know my wife, she offered up a happy prayer of praise for the driver and thanked God for him and to bless him and his family. In two months time Patriot has failed to pick up my garbage twice, while picking up every other bin on the street. When I call they say they will pick it up by the end of the day, but it is not picked up that day, which is Friday, or Saturday, or Sunday. My bin sits out there for four days despite repeated calls to Patriot. I would not recommend Patriot. I am very dissatisfied. read more

Terrible Customer Service- Snow hit Prescott Valley Wed Feb 20 through Friday Feb 22. Pickup service on Friday Feb 22 was snowed out. However, calls were not returned on when service might resume and nothing posted on the website. I understand they could not return hundreds of phone calls but to not post some type of response to the storm on their website and when service might be restored is inexcusable. Finally trash was picked up on Monday. Didn't find this out until Monday. Too bad we don't have other choices with disposal service. read more
