After spending several hundred dollars at La Mirada Cyclery, the service wax minimal at best. Luckily I got a flat on Greenway Trail and had to stop at Frank's to fix it. Since this was my fifth flat in 2 months I was more than frustrated. It turns out I needed a new tire which was contributing to my flat tires. Why didn't the other shop tell me that? We discussed my options and Frank let me know that the railroad puts thorny debris on the trail, making the trail look carefree and safe. I have a 7 speed cruiser that was in need of new tires & a tune up, found this shop on yelp & glad i did. Rode my bike to the shop, (it's right off Colima & lambert off the Whittier trail ) the owner Frank was very friendly, quoted me for a tune up & new tires & was very honest, checked out my bike to confirm a tune up was truly needed first. Left my bike around noon & it was ready that same day around 4pm. Just picked up my bike & it feels great. Frank's Bicycles is limited in the bicycles that they service. We have two small mini e-bikes that needed a small routine tune-up and one e-bike that needed the tube changed on the front tire (12.25). When asked if they could change the tube for us, his response was "We don't have anything to do with e-bikes and I can't help you!" Basically, all we really needed was the tube changed. A flat tire has nothing to do with it being an "e-bike." All the other local bike shops located in close proximity could help us so we went with them. They were surprised that Frank's couldn't help us. Frank's lost some loyal customers today. We will no longer bother with this limited business. read more

I know this is very cliché, but I really never write reviews however, I had such a good experience here I couldn't help it. First of all, there are not a lot of bicycle shops around the area I live so when I found Frank's I was happy he wasn't too far. My first experience here was about 2 months ago when I need to get an inner tube for my son's bike. We brought it in and he fixed it immediately and also made some other minor adjustments at no charge. I immediately felt very comfortable with the owner Frank and was grateful for his help. A week ago I decided to return to Franks. My two daughters have out grown the "little kid" bikes and were wanting to up grade. I took them into Franks and they loved it. Franks has a very good selection of some quality bikes. Each of them found a bike they liked. We ended up purchasing two bikes and he even threw in some extra stuff which really made my girls happy since they were buying the bikes with their own money. In the end the service was great, the quality of the bike is very good, and I would definitely recommend going there for any of your bike needs. We will definitely be going back there again! read more
