This is a great barber shop for the price. If your not to particular which I'm not. I was using Avi but he really doesn't listen to what u say and cuts more than u would like so I started going to Joe. He's was great. He did exactly what u wanted done. I just went there and Joe wasn't in so I used Avi. I should have known better. That said I got the worst hair cut I ever had.it is so uneven and choppy. He never used a sissior. It's either cut most of my hair off to match what he did or wear a hat for a couple of months,unreal. It might as well been from a blind man. I'm not to particular and I've never written a review but I feel I had to. Stay clear from Avi unless your looking for a crew cut. It's pretty hard to mess that up read more

I have been a patron of this establishment for many years now. I started taking my son, Brad, here when he was in his single digits, and he took whatever barber was available first. It was always bustling, busy and had that unmistakable barbershop smell I always associate with my father (God rest his soul). Now that Brad's a teacher and makes enough money to afford a "cooler" cut, he goes elsewhere, but you know what? I think his hair looked just as good when one of the Pergament barbers was cutting it. My husband, Dan, always gets his head shaved, and trusts these barbers to give him a bald, beautiful skull. As for me, I go here and have Maria, the wonderful blond Russian diva, give me a bargain cut ($7.50!). She always tells me how youthful I look and makes me feel really good about myself. I didn't go here in preparation for Brad's wedding, but spent a fortune elsewhere to have my hair cut, colored, and blown dry so I looked like a gorgeous aging actress. I also had my makeup done at the same place, miserable traitor that I am. But next time I need a haircut, I'm going back to Pergament's Barber Shop. I really miss Maria. read more

Im pretty sure they don't have licenses. they use a neck brush to brush hair and put baby powder on your neck which is illegal as its transmits germs and bugs,lice. now about the hair cut. dull buzzer blades and always missing spots. after a few years I'm no longer a kid and need a better cut. read more

My normal barber Sam tall russian guy with glasses not short gu was out so i got some other dude. I asked for him to make my hair like the picture i showed him, and he said no i cant do pictures at all. meanwhile i had more than enough hair, and all i wanted was for him to cut it so i could have my bangs re dyed red instead of blonde in a few weeks, so i give up and say fine give me a 2. so he starts chopping all my hair off everything on my right side, and i say no what are you doing stop. So he already butchered it and would've made me into edward scissorhands so i say continue, now taking biotin to grow my hair out faster and I'm 18. This is a barber shop. Not an expensive hair styling salon. For $5 you cant complain. If you are not picky on which barber you want, you can be in and out usually in 15 minutes. The woman (One of the owners) at the counter is extremely nice. My kids as well as myself go to Maria (First Chair). She does a great job!! Once you get to know her, she is a wonderful person. No issues with this place. Much better that the barber shop in the old Toys R Us shopping center. No issues here!!! Good service!! read more

they put me with a newbie today and i totally understood that he is in the learning phase and inexperienced.....i told him i understand if he is new to barbering and to take his time; it was apparent that he was nervous to the point where he didnt even want to put a part in my hair with a T-liner, not even a straight razor.... ok thats fine, so another barber did this guy a favor and took literally one minute to do it with a T-liner...... what really pissed me off was that the lady at the counter charged me an extra 2 bucks for this!!! WTF?!!! now, i have very short hair and the barber didnt even have to use scissors and the price list says clearly $6 for a simple fade which mine was....but i have never been charged or heard of anyone being charged for a simple part in their hair when it is in fact part of a haircut....when i asked the counter lady about this, she said because they had to use a special machine to do it....bull fucking shit....its so sad and pathetic when i see bullshit business practices like this one..... read more

If i could give this place a negative star i would. I went here four months ago and it was a horrible haircut by a female older european woman. I was scrapped and cut up at the end. My head was so bloody it would have been better to have Edward scissor hands trim my hair. Today i tried to give it a second chance and i was greeted by a man with thick glasses and a lazy eye. He directed me to a man in the corner. All i wanted was a crew cut and i was left to a head full of patches. When i tell the barber he looks at his colleagues and becomes rude. They agree and he tells me to sit back down. You get what you pay for. $6 chop shop. The reasons why you go here is either you are local and in a hurry , too cheap, old and blind or don't care how your son's hair looks. Majority of the workers are rude and unqualified. There was a young lady and a man who had a chair next to her that are pretty good but you are forced to go to the others. This place should be closed. read more
