Can pretty much sum up this place as nice decoration with decent food. It used to be on the other side of the block, but it moved to this new location earlier this year and got a nice little face lift as part of the relocation. Came here for an early dinner and there was only one other table in the house when I arrived. Order the fried calamari, seafood fra diavolo, and capellini di mare. Calamari was pretty good, the sauce was really dark compared to most of the other ones I've had in the past. Both main entrees were average on taste. Overall, nothing that I would scramble back to order again. The real issue was that I got some major teeth crunching sand with the clams and scallops on the fra diavolo. In addition, that small but tough side muscle on the scallops were not removed, which made the scallops extremely chewy and frustrating to eat. This is usually a basic step on scallop preparation and really shouldn't have been missed. On the plus side, portion was huge. Each entree could've been enough for two people. The worst experience of my life. I paid a $500 deposit for an event this Saturday months ago. The whole event is costing me $3500 and The lady Laura lost my deposit and lost the contract and tried to blame me for the mixup. She also told me it's my responsibility to have a copy of a contract that she never gave me. It's your business, lady. Why would you rely on the customer to keep track of your contracts?? It's 4 days away from the party and she told me there will be a convenient $500 fee because i have less than 50 guests for the big banquet room. She never mentioned this to me before and i can't help but feel like it is a total scam because she lost my deposit. Don't go here for your events. Laura is unorganized, rude, and unable to own up to her mistakes. I found the receipt for the deposit despite her best efforts to convince me i never paid it. She never followed up to confirm anything and was all around the most inept and inadequate person I've ever had the displeasure of talking to. When i asked if there were vegetarian options, she said "this is a seafood restaurant". Like you can't even put some sauce on pasta for 2 people at a $3500 event?? read more

First time at the new location. The restaurant is nicely decorated and modern. Bathrooms are beautiful and very clean. Waiters were very happy, attentive, friendly and eager to please. The food was the same quality that I have come to expect from Patsy's and the menu is the same as at the previous location. There were also a few specials not listed on the menu. We started out with a small salad which was fresh, crispy and cold. it had a few tomatoes and cucumbers. I got the creamy italian dressing which was very good. I had the homemade Pappardelle special with pancetta, Peas, mushrooms and mozzarella in a light cream sauce. It was delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the peas and mushrooms were fresh. The pancetta was nicely cut and wasn't chewy. My husband had the linguini with clam sauce. Again the pasta was perfectly cooked. The Clams were fresh and there were a lot of them. The sauce was very tasty and not overpowered by garlic. I was happy to see that the move to the new location did not compromise the quality of food. P.S. The only thing missing was the delicious bruschetta they used to give you upon being seated. Although they didn't have it, I didn't let that sway my review. read more

Appetizers: We ordered several appetizers, shrimp balls which were delicious, the mozzarella in corraza which was tasty paired with their sweet gravy and last but certainly not least was thier buscuits with gravy that was crunchy on the outside and delicously soft on the inside. Entrées: At the table we had to orders of veal with their fresh riggatoni pasta, crabcake which was my order. I felt like I was in Maryland eating the freshest crab meat and almost no breadcrumbs. Sister in law ordered the shrimp with riggatoni which was out so fresh and seasoned to perfection. Waiters and staff are at the top of their game, super friendly and accommodating, unbelievable service. I am extremely particular about my food product, preparation and service. While there are many favorites on the menu, it is extremely important to know that if you are a fan of the old school NYC Vincent's, Lime House, Umberto's or Jerry's in East Rutherford fried shrimp or calamari with sweet or hot sauce, Patsy's is the place for you. I had the chicken parm lunch special which was enormous, very tasty and a really good deal for $12. It had the perfectly browned cheese your eye welcomes (see pic). We had dinner with a few friends Saturday night, our friends picked the place. I ordered calamari and it was hard and it had froze bit on it. I told the waiter and his response was he can't take it off the bill. For dinner I ordered filet mignon $45.00 they literally had 5 pounds of mushrooms on top and it was swimming in oil and water. My wife and I went there for a nice peaceful dinner on a Monday nite and wasn't disappointed. Be it a Monday nite it was, don't get me wrong slow but the staff was very courteous and attentive. Both our dishes came out at a reasonable pace not to quick not to slow which for us is perfect. We both look at going out to dinner as a way to enjoy each other's company and relax. Came here for an early vday dinner. This is like your typical Italian place but with less options. Honestly i would of preferred to go to olive garden then here. The place is decorated nice and it is very upscale. I decided to eat the alfredo pasta because that was the safest thing to eat. I was sadly mistaken. Ok'ing from an Italian family, were my grandma made homemade Italian food all the time, I can honestly tell you this is the best Italian restaurant by far. This was a perfect night out with my husband from start to end. We got here and the host was very nice, we got to our table and our server who was Ecuadorian was amazing made good dinner suggestion, told us about the specials and brought us their famous marinara sauce. Trust me when I say you have never tasted anything like this, he explained that they do it fresh everyday and it takes 6 hours to make. Their pasta is and mozzarella are made in house everyday too. We had the mussels to start and we shared the pastry's chicken and the lava cake for dessert. From start to finish, our entire experience at Patsy's was second to none. We had reserved over a month in advance for a rehearsal dinner package. Manny personally took us on a tour of the restaurant and booked our reservation. We loved the decor of the entire place and its warm, inviting space. We initially were booked for the second floor, a more intimate dining room with a long table for about 20 guests, but upon arriving, we were actually given the nice larger party room, complete with music and the option to plug our own music in! Each of the waiters were very attentive to each guest's requests and cleared with me if there were additional requests beyond the initial cost of our reservation. The courses were nice and varied, starting with delicious bruschetta and salad followed by penne. Then, each guest had the option of salmon or chicken for their main course. I had the salmon and my wife had the chicken so we were able to taste both. Each dish was delectable and the portions were nice and satisfying. We had a guest that was vegan and again, the staff were very accommodating and that guest left very happy! Manny was around during our dinner and came to check on us as the night went on. So yes overall, our experience was amazing and would love to book more parties. Bad idea. The website hyped up the cuisine way too much you talk such a huge game but don't deliver at all. What was that flavorless pea sauce for the Salmon served mushy? Who's back there in the kitchen? Yikes. You didn't even cook the pasta, it was less than aldente, there was crunch. Insulting. The tomatoes were soggy from sitting in the vinegar/oil mixture all day for the mozz salad. Had to ask for bread, had to ask for water (like wasn't offered bottled or sparking waiter cant upsell anything) like we were a couple of lepers lost in Arabia. Insulting ...my boyfriend lived here his whole life after coming from Italy. It's like so beyond disturbing the whole thing from top to bottom. Take your $100 somewhere else, we got a cold appetizer to boot: You could power a vesper for how much oil was on the stuffed artichoke. Served cold, with a cold attitude. All around sad. Avoid the blvd for Italian food. They're all disappointing. Update: so I told my boyfriend that I tattled on the internet on this place. He brought dinner home to his mom, she loves the croquettes. Amazing food but they do not accept Visa or MasterCard only American Express or cash. I didn't realize that the small sign on the menu exhibited this and asked for a manager. The manager or the "owner" that I asked for after being told they don't accept Visa or Mastercard was extremely rude and took away from the whole experience. I advised I didn't see any signs your menu and was rudely told it's on the menu. Horrible service and horrible attitude for such a great restaurant. We waited for almost 40 mins for our entrees to arrive and they weren't good. My husband's pork chop was over cooked while we ordered medium well. I had to spit out my shrimp as it wasn't fresh. And they charged us $ 5 for some dipping bread sauce which they never did before. I don't mind paying. But it will be nice that we could have been informed before. We celebrated our daughter's First Holy Communion at Patsy's. The food and service were top notch. Everyone was very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure the guests were happy. Manny and David were very gracious and assured that everything was running smoothly. We had a three course menu, and it was enjoyed by all! The banquet room was stunning. The good the bad and the noisy. The Good-Red spicy gravy, sauce, marinara, whatever you may call it is the highlight here which honestly very good. They were having a reception/party extremely loud. We had asked for a table further away from the extra loud music we were told that table was unavailable 30 minutes later other people walked in and we're given that table the host was extremely uncourteous very rude rush just kept on telling us the kitchen was going to close an hour before The kitchen closed people we're still coming in when we were leaving almost 2 hours after she said the kitchen was going to closed . Indifferent about Patsy's. Here's why. Let's start with our waiter. Even though he was an expert on the menu, it was his aggressiveness that blew me off, especially when it came to the wine menu. We had no problem spending money on a nice bottle but the approach should have been a little more modest. Anyway, not my type of waiter. Surprisingly, calamari as an appetizer was his best recommendation and almost immediately I felt an overwhelming feeling of disbelief. And of course, the calamari were not to my standards or liking. It was characterless. It was not the marinara sauce or the oil it was cooked in. It was the batter, the chewiness and the flavorings. After two bites from me and two bites from my guest, it was game over. Very disconnected experience. So, I left it as is, in hopes our waiter will questions us and take it back to his chef. He didn't. Moving along...Raviolis were calling my name. Now, this dish is worth ordering! There were 7 raviolis on the dish sitting over a delicious tomato sauce. The sauce was top notch! Perfect level of acidity with a great balance of sweetness. Very Yummy. Texture was thick enough to enjoy and the aromas from the sauce, made me want to order a batch to go. You know, I think this sauce would be AMAZING with Meatballs too. My guest had Veal Marsala with Spaghetti in red sauce. Had a bite here and there- it was good. Nothing to applaud about. This time around, our waiter did ask how our entrees turned out. Lucky for him, we were both satisfied. Dessert. We shared a tres leches cake, A.K.A., sponge cake. The calamari was fresh and perfectly fried WARNING the gravy served along side is a bit spicy but well worth the little heat. Patsy's recently moved and renovated a former Spanish restaurant next door. They just reopened and my wife and I decided to check them out. The food is just ok and expensive, average entree is 20++ dollars. There's one very big problem, the dining room is deafening. The carpet was removed, replaced with hardwood flooring. There is no acoustical insulation in the room, creating a very loud, noisy environment, with sounds reverberating off the walls, floor, and ceiling. If you're looking for a comfortable, relaxing atmosphere, this is not the place to go. It was so bad, you couldn't even hear yourself talk. If you chose to go there, earplugs are highly recommended. read more

Almost went right past this place. It's in almost an industrial area and it's so small. The parking lot is small but there were only one other couple in the restaurant. Another cash or American Express Only (sigh) there is an ATM machine on the premises. We started with a glass of wine and Calamari. The wine was very good the Calamari was good but it could have been a little more tender. Next came the Bruchetta on crusty Italian bread...it was very nice. The menu said our main courses came with salad although we didn't see any but maybe there wasn't any because it was lunch. The Chicken parm was good, it didn't look like the picture here on yelp but it was good. My husband had the veal he said it was good not super-duper but good, he felt the sauce could have used some more seasoning and CHEESE. I had the potato croquette and he had pasta, no cheese was offered or left on the table but a little guy ran up with a pepper mill and started grinding pepper on our meals...I'm thinking it must be fun for the waiters to do this because most of them always do this but forget the cheese. I have been to restaurants around the country and in foreign countries and I have never had a worse dining experience than I did last night at Patsy's. We were a party of 6 at 8 PM. We were seated and our waiter asked us to order our appetizers and entree together so that the kitchen could process the order properly. Our appetizers arrived promptly but after the able was cleared and a 30 minute wait, no entrees. At 9 the waiter came over and told us the food was coming. Our neighboring diners came and went but no food. At 9:30 my husband went to the hostess and asked where our food was and could he speak to the manager or owner. He was told that the owner was in the kitchen and was too busy. At 9:45 the entrees arrived but the food was cold and in two instances the food was inedible. We asked for the bill and the two entrees were removed but there was no apology!!! To complete the horrible experience, the hostess came over to ask if we enjoyed or dinner! There was chorus of NO. Do yourself a favor and go to any other restaurant but skip Patsy's. read more

Although the parking lot is a little annoying to get in and out of, they have more parking on the side streets and in the back.
