I went here after work with two colleagues and we all ordered fajitas - chicken and shrimp. The serving size was huge and no complaints about the flavor and fixings. It was not the friendliest service and we were very disappointed that we could not get guacamole. It was not made and the chef said he didn't have any ripe avocados. I would go back because it's a local spot and we were happy with the food. read more

The pubs of all pubs! It's a staple in this town and always a good time. The food has ALWAYS hit the spot and their wings are a solid option. They are tiny, but tiny is good. That means no hormones injected into them. Their buffalo sauce is fingerlicking good. I just missed the cutoff for their dinner menu and had to choose from their late night menu, but their cheesesteaks are amazinggggg! Get it on their garlick bread and you will have a heart attack and food-gasm at the same time. Always a great hang spot, especially for any sporting event and games. No parking lot, but if you go late enough you can park at the lot across the way. read more

Not from NJ, but I felt at home here. Our waiter was super welcoming, had a ton of suggestions and was very knowledgeable about the menu and food choices. I ordered the Sicilian, and my god, hands down best chicken sandwich I have ever had. The chicken was fried perfectly and literally glistening on the inside, cooked to perfection. The fries were great as well!. I asked if I could get some of their balsamic that someone else got with their dish and our waiter happily obliged. If you're in the area, come in and try some of their delicious food, you won't regret it at all read more

This place has a great look to it. Floor to ceiling, everything is old wood and nicely kept. Service is great. This is not a dive, though it could easily be turned into one if they decided to go that flavor. Prices were about average, maybe a little above. I wanted to try their wings, looked a little steep to me though. Mozzarella sticks were well-priced for mozzarella sticks which are always overpriced anyway, but they didn't taste very good. Still, great decor and atmosphere. read more

I've been here before and it was very good. Everybody has an off day. Tonight was no exception. My husband ordered the hot open turkey sandwich. Very small portion. Tiny in fact! He never ever finishes his meal but tonight he ate it all. The fries were not hot. Very disappointing. I had the Chicken Philly. Bigger portion. Fries also not hot. The bread was awful. The chicken was very thick. It was good if I wanted a grilled chicken sandwich but this was supposed to be a chicken Philly. It didn't come close. The drinks were weak & expensive. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed tonight. I wish it wasn't so because I love the atmosphere and it used to be so good. The service was fine. Nothing outstanding. Just fine. We were not thrilled with the check either. They charged $1.89 for paying by card but gave a discount if you paid cash! They should've let us know and we would have gotten cash prior. A warning would have been nice. $80 for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks each. Wasted $. read more

Used to be my burger go-to. Went recently with my niece; she is a connoisseur of chicken tenders! These were pounded FLAT- ewwww- she was extremely disappointed, she's 13 and I told her how much I loved this place. I was so upset for her... Ordered just my usual, Cheeseburger medium. I'm NOT one to shy away from a rare steak- this burger was raw. Ground beef- big difference- I had almost DIED from Salmonella 7 years ago- I have KNOWLEDGE- I will not put my life at stake ( no pun intended) for any meal. I after the visit learned there are new owners. Explains a lot. Also, the service was horrible. I'm so sorry one of my favorite old neighborhood hangouts is severely demised. I visited while in town for work twice in the same week. As an Indiana resident, I was shocked when my ID was accused of being fake during my second visit. I'm not sure if this reflects an unfriendly attitude toward non-locals or something else entirely. My first visit earlier in the week was fantastic--Timmy is an excellent bartender and a genuinely great person. AJ was also very nice and friendly. Timmy even covered a beer for me, and I tipped over 40% in appreciation. However, my second visit was an entirely different experience. A different bartender refused to serve me, despite me presenting my valid Indiana ID. I am 23 years old and certainly appear my age, so this treatment was both insulting and upsetting. The new bartender said he was the manager. His attitude is concerning; dismissing someone's identification because they are from out of town is unacceptable. This guys is obviously not a professional if he cannot tell if an out of state ID is real or not. Not only that but the manager also was extremely rude and cursed at me several times. While Timmy's hospitality stood out, this inconsistency in service leaves much to be desired. I will be frequently coming to this part of New Jersey for awhile moving forward as my company just opened a location here. I was hoping to make this establishment a consistent stop. I've eaten lunch and dinner there a few times with a friend who lives in the neighborhood. The food is always delicious, good service but not much ambiance but then again it's a bar. We used to love the 101 Pub. It was a great local place where you could always get good food. Now it changed hands and the food is just not as good, however, bustling every night of the week. Dropped by the 101 Pub for a beer to catch up with a friend. The bar didn't have any specials for Wednesday night at 6pm, which was kinda disappointing, since I would have at least expected a happy hour or something. Turns out that they won an award for best wings in Bergen County, so obviously, I had to get an order. The wings are SUPER TINY, barely as long as the blue cheese container is wide as you can see in my picture. They tasted pretty good, but I wouldn't call em the best wings in Bergen County. The cheese fries I got were solid. Overall, the food was pretty good if not a bit pricey, since my total for a beer, wings, and cheese fries was close to $30. read more

Just moved to the area and had a good experience. It has a friendly bartender named Alex who is personable, funny and just makes you feel welcomed. It left a great first impression for us to come back. While not fancy. It's a good local bar hence the rating but definitely not a place to go out of your way for. Haven't tried the food yet but will eventually. Will keep you posted. They have some draft beers but not a huge selection. If you're a draft beer fan probably not the place for that. They have a juke box but the system is loud but at the same time for some reason its hard to understand the words, weird but true. It's more of a shot and beer place. Doesn't seem like a big craft cocktail bar. But if you want a local place with a friendly bartender named Alex, not rowdy crowd and a juke box. Here it is. If you're reading this hit the like button. Came for lunch the food was good, however I don't appreciate a surprise 10% increase to my bill if I use card and not cash. That's astronomical to say the least and more than the 3% fancy restaurants incorporate into their prices. There is NO discount for cash as you are literally paying what you ordered for with tax as usual. Paying with credit card however is going to cost you an extra 10%! Which if I'm honest is mostly going to affect the tips the waiters earn since customers are feeling snubbed for no apparent reason. Management needs to fix their abhorrent pricing because it just comes off as shady and a rip off. read more

It doesn't matter if I come here on a Monday, or a busy Friday or Saturday night, this place always hits the spot. Their service is on point, food may take a bit but it never disappoints, i just drink beer to make the time go by when i'm hungry. I freakin love this place. We wanted to go to pub/tavern and chose 101 Pub so glad we did. It was total pre-pandemic pub experience. We had Blackened Shrimp, which were seasoned and cooked as I well as any restaurant. The Gluten Free options were items that are natural so. No Buns, bread or pasta so minus one star. I had the Nachos with chili and cheese and it was crisp and very tasty. Came here recently during this Covid summer. They take reservations which is so preferred considering. They had a limited drink menu and a generous regular menu. We were seated right away, though it took a while for someone to serve us. I feel like you can't really judge any establishment right now though unfairly during this time. When we were addressed, it was always by staff wearing their face masks. They were always friendly. My friend and I each ordered a Shrimp salad. She wasn't crazy about it, but I thought it was delicious. The shrimp were big and tasted nice and fresh. I didn't go inside the facility. The tables outside and nicely spaced. I felt that I needed to update my review, because now that all Bars and Restaurants are closed, I'm so happy to say that The 101 is still doing pick up and the food travels So well. The best wings, sandwiches and Burgers around, and the best daily specials!!!! Mashed Potatoes to die for, and my favorite Steak Sandwiches. Thanks for Keeping me sane during this crazy time. I love The 101 Pub. The 101 Pub is a Classic!!! I'm not sure where to begin. #1 - the food. The chicken wings, burgers, apps and cheese steaks are the best. Really awesome. #2 - the crowd. . . . Sunday afternoon, Tuesday Afternoon, or Monday Night. You just never know. There's such a great vibe. Always. #3 - Staff - All of the bartenders and waiters/waitresses are friendly and they make you feel like your visiting a family member's place. Small time local pub. Come for a drink, stay for the food. I'm serious. The food is surprisingly good. The wings are my favorite. They're small and delicious. Also had a Thai chili shrimp salad and thought it was delicious. Especially for a small hole in the wall bar. You will be pleasantly surprised. Service was also excellent. Was recently at the 101 Pub for some drinks and food on a Saturday night. It has the typical pub vibe with a neighborhood feel, dimmed lights, long bar, darts, TVs, good music... can't go wrong. Staff was very friendly and attentive and food was good. It was around 7pm on a Saturday so wasn't too busy yet (I hear it gets crowded on weekends). We ordered your basic bar food (wings, quesadilla, chicken fingers, fries) and it was better than your average pub food. I was very pleased to see their prices =] Not sure if because I'm used to NYC (absurd) cost but I think food and drinks are on the cheaper end of the spectrum. Definitely a winner read more

Not only did they provide tasty take out during lockdown but the outdoor dinning was perfect. After a long hiatus due to COVID, my husband and I returned to our favorite restaurant today for a quick bite . The food never disappoints and the ambiance is perfect for us both. There is plenty of parking, but sometimes that parking is a bit of a walk if it's a busy time but typically always find parking... rarely have to go to the underground parking lot. Service can be inconsistent, especially when it comes to larger groups or parties, which can slow things down at times. Overall, while it's not my top choice, it's a place I still enjoy going to and will continue to return to.

I absolutely love this place. My family has been coming here for years. The service is amazing, its one of the few restaurants left in the area where they will actually buyback. The food has been about the same menu over the years, which is delicious, but they also have specials that are different and worth a try. A typical night: Buffalo wings: on the spicy side but insanely good Roast Beef with Mozz on Garlic Bread: Delicious and filling. Plus the prices aren't bad. Bottles of beer are around $4, shots $5..Dinner around $6 or $7 per appetizer and $10 an entree. Plus, about 11 TVs with various games to choose from. Great Place! read more

Service was a straight 10/10 -- quick, attentive, and our waiter really knew the menu inside and out. His recommendations were spot on. Cold beer, great food, what more do you need? We ordered the chicken cheesesteaks which were fresh and came in generous portions. Also tried a sandwich on garlic bread with sliced steak and mozzarella -- absolutely delicious. The burger was clearly homemade, not some frozen patty, and you could taste the difference. The best part? The prices are unbeatable for the quality of food and level of service you get.
