Pasqualino's is a cute little, super-clean spot serving big portions of delicious Italian food. Don't let the small dining room fool you....nobody leaves hungry! We walked in at 8:15 p.m., completely unaware they closed at 9:00 p.m. There were only two tables occupied, so I immediately had that "uh-oh, we're those people" feeling. Thankfully, the staff couldn't have been nicer. We never felt rushed, and the service was wonderful from start to finish. This is a BYOB spot, and trust me....you should come hungry. We started with the stuffed peppers. One was spicy, one wasn't. Was it a culinary surprise? A pepper lottery? I'll never know, but both were delicious. I ordered the chicken Parmesan with rigatoni, and my husband got the spinach-stuffed shells with meatballs. When the plates arrived, I briefly wondered if they had mistaken us for a family of four. The portions were huge. We ate until surrender and still had enough leftovers for lunch the next day. On our way out, we couldn't resist grabbing dessert from the cooler: limoncello cake and tiramisu. Because after consuming enough pasta to fuel a small village, dessert seemed like the responsible thing to do. We made it out by 9:00 p.m., and the staff remained friendly right up until closing time. Great food, generous portions, excellent service, and prices that won't make you cry into your cannoli. we went on a saturday night so it was busy but the service was abnormally slow. i was disappointed that all the red sauce is made with meat as i am a vegetarian and usually i can find a lot at an italian restaurant. there was one vegan pasta on the menu so i ordered this, it was very bland and was mostly just spaghetti noodles with olive oil. we brought home deserts and the cannoli cake was amazing read more

I'd give it a 5 if the ambiance was better. The Food was fabulous with generous serving size. We had pizza for an appetizer and it was delicious--just the right seasoning in the sauce. We each had a pasta dish and a salad. I like that the salad was not iceberg and few other veggies. It was mixed greens with lots of veggies. The decaf coffee at the end of the meal was delicious and fresh. Our server was polite and efficient. I wish I had known it is a BYOB restaurant. I'll know next time. When we arrived they had classical music playing at just the right volume. For some reason they switched to rock. Not what I want while eating dinner. Keep the classical music! Or music from Italy. It is a casual restaurant, but could add a few touches to make it a more homey feel. In losing changing the pea green paint. It is in an old house, so I was hoping to have more of a home style feel. The stuffed shells (2) were soggy, flat noodles drowning in acidic, no seasoning tomato sauce (not pasta sauce) and the "cheese stuffing" were 1/8" of a cheese stick that was hard. I was legitimately shocked by how delicious the food from Pasqualinos is. I order the stuffed shells (no spinach), mac n cheese, and chocolate chip cookies. Let me just say if you come to Pasqualinos, you have to get the cookies! They are truly fantastic and extremely affordable, at less than $1/cookie or 6/$5. Nice and chewy, lots of chocolate, and really sweet. The shells are also incredible! The portion is huge. A large dinner came with 4 shells and 2 meatballs. I did not expect to enjoy the meatballs as much as I did, they were cooked quite well and the texture was great. The shells are homemade, humongous, and stuffed with multiple types of cheeses, all of which tasted incredible and blended perfectly. Also, there was a lot of sauce. It was a bit sweet and went really well with the pasta. Now, I did not really like the Mac n cheese that much. I hear the provolone sticks are better but I can't confirm yet, will try those next times. Mac n cheese simply did not have a lot of flavor, came in clumps, and also was a tad too oily. It did not satisfy the Mac craving, but overall, this place is still awesome! Highly recommend for great portions, quality America-Italian food, and some of the best homemade cookies ever. Edit- I checked this place out again last week. It is consistently fantastic, and now one of my favorite Italian places. I crave it quite often. We recently tried Pasqualino's for date night and we were not disappointed! The service was quick and friendly, and helpful with making a decision (there were too many delicious things on the menu!). We had mozzarella sticks and friend zucchini for appetizers which were clearly freshly made and so good! For entrees we had the basic spaghetti and meatballs and the cheese tortellini. Both were phenomenal, as was the huge fluffy roll that is included with each meal. We also shared a delicious piece of tiramisu. The restaurant is BYOB, which we didn't know about ahead of time or we would have brought a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. Can't wait to go again! read more

Stopped here for lunch on a whim. The staff was pleasant, attentive, and the food came out pretty quick. Of course, I forgot to take pictures of the food. However, I will say this... A quaint little family run restaurant with some of the best Italian food we've ever had. The sauce is unbelievable. Talked with Frank, the owner, and it's his mother's recipe made in house! The food is excellent. While the service is slow the taste of the food makes it worth the wait. We have yet to receive a bad meal, sun, or pizza from this restaurant. The pasta sauce is homemade with a taste that dances on your palate while the fresh subs play a tune that's classical playing loud to your taste buds. The pricing is reasonable and they had to raise prices to coincide with the price adjustments of supplies and food itself hadn't increased to unaffordability. Melt in your mouth stuffed shells. Delicious meatballs and sweet sausage. Fresh salad with nice greens (no iceberg lettuce). All packaged very conveniently/safely for easy pickup and transport. Absolutely the best little Italian spot in penn hills hands down. There is no competition for miles. The prices can't be beat along with the hospitality. I enjoy the crab cake medusa which has an Alfredo based sauce with a delicious crab cake on top of linguine noodles... The meat is so soft and tender that it leaves you begging for more. I've been here twice in the last week and would love to dine here every day. We ordered the lasagna which was amazing..the meat is so soft and their red sauce works with every dish..the flavor is by far very exciting.
