Came here for the first time with a few friends, we sat outside to enjoy our food and drinks. Service Was friendly and fast. The food was delicious and prices were reasonable.

Was hesitant to go here seeing the mixed reviews. So glad we decided to check it out. Cute, quaint bar with good food and service. Had the Parmesan quesadilla and a burger wrap...was really tasty! Tried one of the specialty drinks too. I don't remember the name of it, but it was really good! Will definitely be back.

We came here on a Saturday night, expecting a wait but there wasn't one. We had been there many times before. The food has always been decent, not great or bad, just decent. We were blown away this time. We started with the lobster bisque, which aside from being a little salty, was great. Good chunks of lobster. I had a kebabs which was a special, he had a burger. His burger was perfect and very good. My kebabs were EXCELLENT. They were steak, chicken and shrimp, with roasted potatoes and veggies...$20. I got three meals out of that one dinner. This place still looks the same, it's probably always going to too. Downtown Chester this time of year is just stunning at night. The stars are lit up all over town. Highly recommend visiting it.

Went to Cheshire for some shopping and stopped for some food. I had the Nashville chicken tendies with the beer cheese sauce (it was worth it!) and the potato flatbread. Our server was nice and this place is very cute! And very old! Worth a stop if you are in Cheshire!

In business since 1850 and for good reason! Charming historic tavern with a small restaurant. The menu is surprisingly huge for a neighborhood pub and they have daily specials. Located in the heart of this enchanting village of Chester this no-frills eatery is a gem.

Pattaconk is a local hangout spot, is always packed, and full of life and fun! Head into the bar and grab a pint (they always have several on tap!) or a seasonal cocktail. When we visited I got the hocus pocus cocktail- with ginger beer and was delicious! They always have a full menu of specials. I tried the steak tips with mashed potatoes off of that menu. My husband ordered the Reuben- a pattaconk staple! Overall- it's a solid spot for a good drink and some bar food in the heart of downtown Chester.

Amazing service, the food was delicious and a great environment. Would recommend going.

Just the kind of place you want on a cold winter day when you rush in off the street and it's all warm and cozy with an empty barstool 5 feet away and a smiling bartender to welcome you. It's close inside, low ceilings, everything kind of hodgepodge. That is the great part. I had a draft which I thought was a little pricey at 9.50. The cup of chowder was less at 6, whatever. The chowder was pretty good but I prefer mine without the thickener in it, usually flour. The clams were good though, but the chowder wasn't hot just lukewarm. Super nice bartender keeping everyone happy and the place was quite jovial, a real local bar with a neighborhood vibe that you just know is the reason they've been around so long.

    Clam chowder.

Immediately you are greeted by the friendly staff who are so accommodating with letting you try samples of their brews before purchasing. We got a 4 pack to go and loved it. I love how there is complimentary popcorn and how there's a fun viewing of the brewery process open for public to see. My favorite aspect of this brewery had to be their outdoor seating. I loved how cozy and homey it felt almost like you were hanging out in someone's backyard. Next time I am in the area- Little House will be our first stop for sure!

Probably because I didn't have much bookmarked for a planned trip for stops in Connecticut but an opportunity did arise to try a couple of their beers and so I pursued it in which I was quite impressed! I had their Premium which I really enjoyed! It was a Helles Lager which I normally really enjoy. This one was exceptional as it had an excellent flavor profile. It was clean, crisp and some sweetness at work. It was smooth and very easy to have more than one during a single seating. The other beer I liked just as much practically. This was a milk stout called Gimmie The Gorbage (no, I didn't misspell the beer title this time) and it too was quite good. A very smooth beer in which you will find chocolate, coffee, cocoa and molasses flavors that make contact with your tastebuds. Also a very enjoyable beer! A very good beer experience this was and grateful for the opportunity that came along on a brewery that wasn't on my list in which it would have been something I really would have missed out on.

We chose the latter in a corner window right by the falls. The service was outstanding. From the moment we arrived, to helping us find our seat, to our server helping us with the menu, to the manager coming over and talking with us to make sure everything was ok. I liked how the server first checked to see if we had any time restraints along with food allergies, etc. Speaking of the food. We started with the clam chowder and scallops. The chowder was the best I've ever had. Plenty of meat and seasoned perfectly. The scallops were amazing. The manager later told us that the scallops were the only thing that had been on the menu since day one. They tried to rotate them off once and the people went nuts. We moved on to the duck and salmon. Both were delicious. Sides were perfect as well. I'd love to write about dessert, but unfortunately, we were stuffed. They looked good, but that will have to wait until next time.

My burger as I was afraid to order seafood as they really messed that up in the past was soggy and really foul tasting. Not sure how you can ever mess up a burger. The location overlooking the river is nice, so many more better places around.

All the pizzas were so good but we decided on the pepperoni and the meatball white pizza. Both are equally good and I cannot decide which one I like better. The pepperoni had calabrian peppers and rosemary, which was unique to me not too spicy and the pepperoni for good. The meatball Peter came with the Parmesan sauce and cherry tomatoes which I don't like but I really enjoyed it on this pizza. Two small pizzas somewhere good size for two big men. I really enjoyed talking with all the crew there. Shout out to Connor, Noah and Matt. They have a nice local draft list but they were on the pricey side at $10. I can't wait to come back to try out the rest of the pizzas.
