Tech did not explain what code he cleared And got a lot of smart ass feedback . 1. I hired Joshua to fix a refrigerator at our rental property in Houston that I manage. I searched…read morethrough Yelp and compared rates, as per my usual technique for finding service providers and Quick Trip Appliance Repair have me the best quote for diagnostics. As with most other repair companies, the diagnostics charge was able to be applied to the total repair. Joshua was able to get out to the rental property promptly. He came during our scheduled window and was able to diagnose the issue and give me an estimate on what the repair would cost. Before calling me, he called around to local parts places and was able to find the part we needed. When we spoke, he said he could come back that same evening to finish the job as our tenant was busy over the next week. Since the property was not my own, I had to clear charges with the owner before proceeding, but the owner did not approve because his home warranty company's co-pay rate was lower than what the repair would have cost. Unfortunately, I had to call Josh back and let him know. Although he was pretty upset, and understandably so, he returned to the rental property to put the fridge back in "working" order and was kind to put tenant. Prior to cancelling the repair, I found their price very fair and the speed of service above par (I have worked with several repair people in the past on my own house and I have never had anyone successfully get a part in the same day), so I can only speak on diagnosis, speed of service, and communication. The first is how they schedule appointments. They ask that you pick a day and then they will call you a day before and give you a three hour window of when we will be there on that day. They cannot tell you in advance if it will be morning, afternoon or evening, just sometime on that day. So, essentially, unless you can take off work on a moment's notice, you essentially have to take off an entire day of work just to meet with the technician. The second annoying thing is the general lack of customer service and competence in the work. As it stands, I have been told that my appliance needs a replacement part in order to be repaired and that the part is "on backorder." Nobody can tell me what the part is, and I have been told that there is no ETA on arrival. So, bottomline, after months of dealing with this company, and my home warranty company that sent me to them, I still have a broken appliance and not ETA on getting it fixed. Great, thanks a lot.
