Wait a pain working with this company. They never pick up the phone, they never respond to voicemails, and they won't event respond to home warranty escalations to contractor relations. It's been like pulling teeth to get them to order a simple part and show up to install it. I kid you not the part is just a special screw. I've been living life without a microwave now for 4 months, and it's because this company can't get it's act together. Granted, I've rediscovered the joys of reheating food on my stovetop and there are bigger things in life to worry about. I won't be using this place again. I had a problem with my 2 year old whirlpool refrigerator/freezer cooling and they came out and replaced the defrost terminator, basically a thermostat switch. The repairman had to take out the bottom freezer drawer to do that since it's in the back and he was pretty rough getting the drawer out. The charge to replace that switch was $400. Then, a couple months later the freezer drawer would hardly come out. I suspect the repairman damaged it while yanking out the drawer but he said it was the rails that were bad and that they he has seen this in many bottom freezer units. I'm not sure that's accurate. My wife and I both think he damaged it getting it out. Anyway, he wanted to charge us an additional $400 to replace the rails. We asked what the alternative was since we had already paid them over $400 to change a switch and he said we could try some silicone spray. Then he wrote us a bill for his visit and charged us another $95 to do nothing. Ridiculous and we will never use this place again. Now, my bottom drawer won't come out much, I've spent about $500 on a 2 year old refrigeration. By the way, they recommended this refrigerator when we bought it 2 years ago. read more

Ridiculous and liars. My dishwasher was in the process of breaking and I fortunately have a home warranty, they came out and the response was to plug the dishwasher into another outlet not near the original one, in a 5 minute appointment without any other checks on the dishwasher. When I called the electrician, they got full voltage from the "faulty" (as gulf coast said) outlet. By this time the dishwasher was fully not functioning in the new outlet either. When we tried to plug the dishwasher every other outlet in my home, it still wouldn't work. Our home warranty called them back out on a recall, and they called with questions and said they would be back out Monday. Not 10 mins later, the home warranty was on the phone saying they wouldn't come back out. Liars, cheats, and all around scumbags. read more

I'm so thankful that after a few tries American Home shield finally sent out the big dog in appliance repair - Gulf Coast Appliance. After two tries, one appliance repair company who said the problem was the plumbing and then the plumbing company who verified the plumbing wasn't the issue and assured me it was the appliance, Gulf Coast came to save my day! Thanks to the plumbing company for advising me to ask for a different appliance repair company because this was not the first time they've experienced this bogus excuse. And it's totally bogus because the past 20 years at least dishwashers have their own water heaters in them. Who knew, well I do now! Thank God that the second company AHS setup to come out didn't respond because after that I was so annoyed by their whole process that I called again and insisted on another company to which they finally sent out Gulf Coast. This company is the real deal, super experienced, came in diagnosed, ordered the part and came back right away to install it and now I have a perfectly working dishwasher that sanitizes and doesn't take 4 hours per cycle! PLUS, I have my go to appliance repair company if I ever need one. They work on Sub-zero too! Gulf coast is on top of it with follow up, communication , super professional, quick to respond and Alan is extremely knowledgeable and a no nonsense kind of guy. Perfect! Thanks so much!!! I wouldn't usually write a review. But in this case I would to try to protect other customers. I didn't select this contract, my home warranty used their list. First the tech shows up and has the personality of rock. I was trying to ask questions, etc and no to little response. He diagnosed the problem with was the timing switch on the top of the clothes dryer. Then as he as started talking about a fire hazard etc. Lint build up etc in the back of the dryer. Which again with have nothing to do with the switch (these are separate compartments) in the dryer. Then he indicated there was build up in back of the dryer that would require a $150 job to cleanout the unit. Again after he closed the dryer up so I couldn't see it. At this point I told him to get the hell out. He spent another 5 minutes doing paperwork. I called my warranty company and explained the situation and I got my deposit (or service call money back). I then go on Amazon, order a new switch for $60 and installed it two days later and it works fine. Opened the unit up to clean out the supposed lint and back of the dryer was clean. I spent maybe 60 seconds cleaning a little of the back of the unit, but that was mainly dust since the unit was about 15 years old. Then fast forward 3 weeks and I get a letter from my warranty company that the failure was not due to normal wear and tear. So you see what they were trying to do is indicate the electrical switch was not covered and then also charge me a $150 cleaning fee. Total scammers. Stay away. read more

Worse experience ever. This contractor refuses to accept the contracted fee from the warranty company and put me in the middle of resolving the issue! I spent over eight hours on the phone with the two companies and got no resolution. This company is not professional and not honest the lady in office told me multiple lies as to why my repair was delayed including telling me that the warranty company had denied my claim and they refuse to give me my $75 deductible back lack of Professionalism is too kind for this company they want to charge over $900 to repair my stove when in fact the parts are way cheaper if I were to purchase them myself a newer stove would be more cost efficient as this company charges an obscene amount of money for their labor and are unwilling to negotiate. I will never recommend are use this company stay far away. The girl that answers the phone is rude she doesn't listen and she talks over you her point of you is the only point of you that matters does not care about the customer. read more

Do not use them. they told me once we got part they would install and deduct previous $85 service fee. We got part called them and they would not install for previously arranged fee. This company will make an appointment with you, confirm it on the same day and cancel at the last minute siting an employee just quit and it is out of their control. Don't waste your time or a day off dealing with these circus clowns. They called to confirm my appointment the day before and 9am the same day and called back at 10:45am to reschedule. When rescheduling, then refused to offer me any compensation in terms of a weekend of late afternoon appointment to accommodate me for the inconvenience they caused me. The representative said it was out of her control. The end. It would have been ok if they would have done something to accommodate my work schedule condisering I wasted a whole day and got stood up at the very last minute. Consider yourself warned!!!!! Poor performance. Technician came out the next day after calling for appointment. Spent 15 min and stated he had to leave to do research. I called the office 24 hours later and they still did not know anything and was told had to wait for technician to come into the office the following evening to work on figuring out what was wrong with our Samsung washer. I consulted Angie's List, which it is obvious to me why this company is not a member, and found a company that could come out this afternoon and sort out the repair. I told Ashley that I did not think I need them to pursue this any further and was told I still owed them a $65 service charge. From the office people Stephanie and Ashley who were rude and talk down to you plus told me two different stories why I had to wait until next week to have the part that is already in installed next week. I ask for the manager or owner and was told Allen Webster left @10:23am for the day and did not have an email. If they REALLY show up next week with the correct part I will have been without the use of my dryer for 3 weeks and they see NOTHING wrong with that. I did not have a good experience with the technician who came out to my house. He misdiagnosed the issue I had with my dishwasher and gave me faulty advice, which I later discovered after having to call another company to service and repair my appliance. HOWEVER, after the fact, I called up the company and was extremely upset. I spoke with Ashley who handled the call with the utmost professionalism. Rather than dismissing me, she carefully listened, apologized and asked what could be done to correct the issue. She spoke with the owner, Allan, and they said they would refund the service fee that I paid. I sincerely appreciated their customer service. Despite having a bad experience with the technician, I would use their service in the future (and recommend them) bc I know that they want to do right by their customers.
