Patti's Seafood Restaurant in Pensacola, FL at 2250 W Nine Mile Road was a fantastic lunch spot for seafood lovers! The seafood is definitely on point. My hubby and I both ordered the Little Patti's Combo, which includes 2 proteins, 2 sides, and 2 large golden brown hushpuppies. We loved that you can choose your cooking preference -- blackened, broiled, or grilled. We both selected grilled shrimp and mahi mahi with coleslaw and steamed vegetables. Our platters arrived quickly at the table, piping hot and obviously cooked fresh. The hushpuppies were HUGE, flavorful, crunchy on the outside, and soft and bread-like on the inside. The mahi mahi was tender and perfectly cooked -- not overdone at all. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly, and the portions were very generous. In fact, our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs because we ended up taking most of the mahi mahi home! After we sat down, we noticed Patti's also has a sushi counter, so we couldn't resist ordering their special: 2 sushi rolls for $17.88. The rolls came with a hearty miso soup filled with shredded crabmeat (surumi). The soup was piping hot and absolutely delicious. The restaurant itself has a calming blueish-gray décor with minimal wall decorations, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The music was subtle and not blaring like some restaurants, which really added to the relaxing vibe. The wait staff was very courteous, and we especially enjoyed visiting during the after-lunch crowd because it wasn't overly busy or crowded. read more

Let me start off with how amazing their smoked beans were. I have never tasted such smoke flavor in baked beans. They were really good. Crab cakes were satisfyingly filling and tasty. Everything here is great. The fried shrimp & oysters were just right. A lot of places over salt things. I love that I can even get sushi here. I messed up and ordered the sale priced sushi which had a chunk of cream cheese in it which overpowered everything else. The other sushi looked great. read more

I have not had a bad meal at this restaurant. The food is fresh and not overcooked. I am not fond of Catfish, so I get the Grooper and it is very good. You never have to wait long for your meal and the wait staff is very good. For those of you who like Sushi, they are serving this meal. read more

The smell of fresh fried fish lured us in and we were pleasantly surprised. Husband had the catfish basket and I had the little combo where you could choose two fish and two sides. The sides: cheese grits needed a little salt and pepper. The beans were very interesting, lots of flavor. And the coleslaw wow haha perfect. Mayo and a little sugar. That's all I want! The hush puppies were really good too, nicely seasoned and not greasy. The fish was hot hot hot freshly fried. You could tell these weee hand breaded and not frozen. I had the crab cake which was ok, it's good crab, little filler and also freshly fried. Counter service with self serve drinks but they bring the food out to your table. Inside was very quiet, very plain. A few older groups handing out having early dinner. A little ok the expensive side, I will prolly be happy with just the basket of fish. Servings were good. We frequent this location since it's close to home. The food is always cooked to perfection. It's exactly what you'd expect from a takeout seafood restaurant. Enough options for everyone on the list, and fast. The service is good - we've never had an issue while ordering take out or dining in. Best service - quick turnaround. We ordered to take out and maaaan was this seafood FRESH and DELICIOUS!! the fried calamari was divine, crispy, not oily not over breaded and it was slightly chewy, perfection. Also the chicken tenders were superb. And the fries were amazing! I ordered the fish gumbo which was delish and we also ordered fried lightly breaded shrimp, which was fantastically fresh!!! The price was reasonable. The only caveat I would say is that the portions were avg to slightly small. But I'll overlook that for the complete freshness and deliciousness of this seafood restaurant which has an attached fresh fish market on the other side of the restaurant which seats a good number of people for dine ins. So don't walk, but run to this amazing seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. read more

This is a decent seafood restaurant where patrons can order fried seafood baskets. (Diners will pay an additional $1 for grilled or blackened.) The restaurant connects to a seafood market. Tonight's Fried Mullet & Fried Triggerfish did not disappoint-- see pics. Last December, I bought extremely fresh Cod & Catfish from the market to take home to the Tampa area. Consider doing the same once your dinner service is over. Our lightly battered fresh fish was seasoned & fried well. The accompanying Hushpuppy was standard-- not underwhelming nor was it extra special. The Slaw was good & the Beans were even better-- both are made on site. The Cheese Grits could have been more flavorful (especially regarding salt), but they were OK. This restaurant offers 7 sides (see sign). An extra side will cost patrons $1.99. (Okra was not available, although it was on the menu.) There's a daily Seafood Soup on the menu, which I tasted after the young, sweet blonde cashier offered a sample. Tonight's Seafood Soup was Crawfish Etouffee, & it was definitely worthy! Very good Etouffee! However, the cup of $6.99 Seafood Gumbo was the strangest looking & oddest tasting combination I have EVER tried-- EVER! It was tremendously disappointing. After three bites (& after having zero clue as to what ingredients were actually in the Gumbo), I left it behind on the table. Even my dinner date couldn't figure out what I was eating, although we both saw one tiny sausage slice; bits of okra; & one sliver of fish. The Gumbo had the consistency of gravy & ketchup; the many square chunks floating in it may or may not have been pork-- such a weird flavor experience. (SEE THE PIC OF THE GUMBO TO UNDERSTAND OUR CONFUSION.) I'm OK w/ the dish not resembling a gumbo, but I'm not OK w/ indistinguishable flavors. Perhaps if I had requested the rice, the dish would have been somewhat better. There are 7 types of fish on the menu: Catfish, Mullet, Triggerfish (today's special), Cod, Grouper, Salmon, & Mahi-Mahi. There's also Shrimp & Oysters. Not interested in fresh seafood? On the menu is a Grilled Cheese, Chicken Fingers, a Hamburger, & a Cheeseburger. Desserts are prepared here-- currently Strawberry Shortcake (aka the Seasonal Cake) & Banana Pudding. Both looked good. For beverages, there are Coke products, sweetened & unsweet iced tea, & coffee. The cashier & an older man (owner???) were at the register; each was very nice to speak with. The older female server in the dining room stood awkwardly still near the kitchen door until a kitchen staffer handed customer entrees to her. Each time she approached our table, she lacked personality. However, the dark-haired, young man was friendly & goal-oriented. The dining room is quite large & has at least 15 metal tables. Each table was covered w/ a black plastic tablecloth. This is NOT a fancy eatery, but it appeared clean & it also appears popular w/ locals. Perspective diners can reserve a private room. There's plenty of parking & there's an available bike rack. We liked the cooked fish & I'll return to the market to buy fresh fish for my trip home. But I'm unsure if I'll return to the restaurant. The overall experience wasn't bad; however, it could have been much better, and many hours later my taste buds are still seriously confused by the Seafood Gumbo. read more

I got the gumbo. Some of the best I have ever had -this is someone from the Gulf Coast writing this, so I am not saying this lightly. Fish in the gumbo, fyi. I ordered my food to-go, then sat down and waited a few minutes for my order. The teenage girl taking orders was incredibly polite, welcoming, and kind to everyone. They were out of fried oysters today, but I will def be back to try them and get the gumbo again. read more

While I do not get to eat seafood often (my wife really dislikes it), this is a place I enjoy going to when I can. To me, they put the emphasis on the quality of the food and not necessarily the amenities if you will. If you are looking for something like Red Lobster in way of linen table clothes and fancier dining (if Red Lobster is fancier dining), this place is NOT for you. Plastic baskets, plastic utensils, packets of tarter sauce, and red checkered table cloths are what you find here. But the restaurant is connected to a fresh seafood market. So, the seafood being prepared is likely some of the freshest you'll find. The food is hot and tasty, and the hush puppies (which I am typically not a fan of at most places) were delicious. The shrimp was quite different from the chewier kind that often denotes frozen at other places. There may be better seafood restaurants in Pensacola down by the beach, but this gem is a convenient stop. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place and can't believe it took me so long try it! The building itself is very nice and a lot bigger than it looks from the outside. I went for lunch right when they opened and was able to place my order pretty much immediately. Once you pick a place to sit, they bring you their homemade tartar and cocktail sauce, both which taste amazing! The food came out super quick and was extremely fresh! I got the fried catfish entree with cheese grits and fresh vegetables. This was my first time trying catfish and it was absolutely divine! It was fried to order, not greasy in the slightest, big pieces of fish, and tasted perfect dipped in the tartar sauce. The cheese grits were probably the best cheese grits I've ever had, I highly recommend those! The fresh vegetables ended up just being steamed broccoli, they were good and fresh but definitely need to spruce them up with salt and pepper. The serving size of the entree is huge in my opinion and a great value for the price ($16.49 for the entree and two sides). I ate half at lunch and half for lunch the next day. This place is a local gem and I can't wait to go back soon! read more

Good food ruined by overall atmosphere Two rubber runners in dining area. Your feet stick to them while walking.Out of ketchup, out of rice for gumbo. Still using plastic utensils. Once waitress delivered food that was it. No further service. Want a beverage refill?get it yourself. Bathrooms. One completely out of paper towels .The other one had a roll of towels on a shelf.
