Oar House is a Pensacola institution for good seafood, efficient service, and great place to watch the boats pass by. Their food is consistently good. The dining room is inside outside with a beach tiki atmosphere. There is also a volleyball court. I use get a salad with grilled tuna as a low carb option. If not, I usually get the seafood basket with fish, shrimp, and fried oysters with a side of cheese grits instead of french fries. I love dipping the fried seafood with the grits. Delicious. They also have really good seafood gumbo. For three people with 3 soda, an appetizer, and 3 main courses our check including an $11 tip added about $75 dollars. During inflation, where every restaurant is trying to take advantage and over charge customers, they have been reasonably priced. Kudos to them for keeping their prices reasonable and affordable.

Baja tacos with fish ( farm raised) or fresh shrimp, or fresh mahi mahi. Available grilled, blackened or fried. We got the shrimp blackened and it was great. Could benefit from avocado added, but the side of coleslaw added a similar creaminess. Side of beans, salsa and a slightly spicy dipping sauce too. The tacos were LARGE and filled with shrimp lettuce and chopped tomato in every bite I do love that in this area one can easily find fresh fish cooked in a variety of ways! Key lime pie had a weird neon green syrup on it. Good crust, but the body was not much on lime. I'd skip. Friendly service Views aplenty here-- the water and boats.

What a cute place to stop and have lunch! We sat on their outdoor deck and enjoyed a view of the water and marina. I ordered the blackened shrimp with rice and steamed broccoli, while my husband ordered the fish and chips. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The blackened shrimp was so flavorful! To end the meal, we chose to share key lime pie (even though it was a square). It had just the right kick of lime flavor and it was sooooo creamy. We loved it and highly recommend. Oh, and service was great!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend who had visited the Pensacola area. We just moved here and this was only seven minutes from our new home. The hostesses are excellent and very friendly. They seated us next to the water at a great table with a wonderful view. Our waitress arrived at our table, timely, and with a big smile. Drinks were ordered and brought right over. We had fried pickles for an appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. We all ordered seafood to include shrimp and grouper, which all came with sides of hush puppies and fries or grits. I opted for the grits and they were absolutely delicious I would really recommend the oar house if you're in the area visiting or if you just moved here or if you're a long-term resident. It is a great fun atmosphere and everyone there was wonderful.

We like to stop here for lunch when in the Pensacola area. This was our first trip back since 2021. Our service was fine. We like the view of the bay & boats. It's a beachy vibe. My husband's & friend's pieces of grouper were small & thin this tile. Tasted fine, but they felt the size of fish was very small. My nephews grilled medium ahi tuna was thick & large. My husband loved their root beer. The gumbo was was ok but not great, but the cup was a good size & he was glad he didn't get the bowl. The cole slaw everyone enjoyed. My oyster po boy was filled with a lot of fried oysters & was good, but the oysters & fries were not very hot at all. My margarita was a C, I make a better one at home. So while we still enjoyed our visit, it was not quite as good as several years ago. Fun photo ops for tourist throughout the place inside & out. The parking lot gets full. They don't take reservations so it gets BUSY at peak times.

One of the very first restaurants that we tried after relocating to Pensacola. We followed up on the recommendations from our neighbors. The Oar House was one of them. As we arrived we were greeted by a server who led us to our table by the windows. The view of the bayou was pleasant with boats drifting through. A touch of Pirates of the Caribbean. The menu was quite extensive so it took awhile to decide our appetizers and entrees. Hushpuppies and a bowl of Seafood Gumbo to start. Then we had The Forklift, Blackened fish filet topped with provolone cheese and sauteed mushrooms. Also the Chicken sandwich that was marinated and blackened. The meal was finished with a slice of Key Lime pie. We'll be coming back to try the other delicacies soon enough. Aloha and Mahalo.

To begin with this little seaside restaurant is a hidden gem. It's just a little off the beaten path, but what a beautiful view and what a fun place! The outdoor seating is awesome and the tables inside still experience the sea breeze as it is an open air establishment. Our server was good. She was good about accommodating our requests and was timely. She was not overly friendly or super responsive but she got the job done. On to the food. We all ordered off the lunch menu. The fried shrimp was really good as were the hush puppies that accompanied the dish. The cheesy grits were good and the coleslaw was okay. The red beans and rice they offer are a little different than any I've had before. Less of that Cajun zing and more of a Smokey finish. Very different but very good. Overall, it was a great experience. I'm sure we'll return.

    Grilled Shrimp Seafood Platter

The service was fast, and friendly. Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed despite it being really busy. It was nice to see the yachts as a view, it's different but such an aesthetic! The Grilled Shrimp platter is so delicious, everything about it makes me want to keep coming back! The broccoli was steamed so well and the shrimp was grilled just right and well balanced seasoning.

Have a special drink request, just ask Juliana...if she has the ingredients she can make it!

With somewhat dim lighting and a speakeasy's ambiance, The Burrow offers a great spot for just a drink or a full meal. For starters, check out their cocktail menu. Sure, they can make you your favorite drink, like a Manhattan or a basic Cosmo, but their featured drinks are outstanding. The Giving Tree is a smashing blend of pear & vodka, with a mint garnish, and it is seriously drinkable. The Burrow even offers CBD-infused cocktails for those that really want to take the edge off. The fare is beyond the standard bar & grille, though they do serve a fantastic burger. For appetizers, the Raclette Fries are a must-try with rich flavors that could captivate any palate, and bigger appetites can tackle the Pork Shank, served bone-in and topped with cabbage for that authentic German approach. If you want something lighter, then the Little Wedges (the only time I actually enjoy iceberg lettuce) could be a meal to many, topped with the usual bleu cheese & bacon crumbles - so good! Pricing is right on par with the value and the drinks themselves are simply outstanding. The bartender even made a previous 'seasonal' offering for my father-in-law, so you know the service is top-shelf. The space inside isn't huge, but the decor and layout is pretty well optimized. Great spot for any season, and with the biergarten space, you have plenty of options.

Great service and a great start with the Blushing Badger special drink. Good flavor and not overly sweet. Ordered the burger which was good (not the best I've had) and served on a brioche bun. My only criticism is that the bun was too thick and overpowered the burger. Ordered with sweet potato waffle fries, which were nothing special. While the food was decent, and the service and atmosphere very good, I think the food and drinks were overpriced. I don't mind paying for good food, but I think the burger was overpriced at $18 and the drink at $15. I may go back, but not real soon.

It's one thing to swing into a classy restaurant or belly up to a fine bar stool, but sometimes an old coot just wants a bun in one hand and the smell of grill smoke on his boots. That's where Brown Bagger delivers the goods, and then some. I pulled up to that truck on a sun‑soaked afternoon, and there was this fella let's call him Big Mike on the flattop slinging patties like he was born flipping 'em. Big Mike didn't just make my double Wagyu smash; he gave me a PhD in burger philosophy between laughs. "You ever notice," he said while slapping that sizzling meat like a pro wrestler body‑slamming a bad guy, "a burger's only as honest as the fist that builds it?" I tell ya what that man could sell sand in the desert and make you thank him for it. He stacked cheese, grilled onions, and that signature Bagger Sauce onto that bun with the sort of focus you usually only see from surgeons and ex‑wives signing divorce papers. Those burgers? Forget just good they're the kind of juicy, salty, glorious mess that makes you smack your lips and swear solemn oaths you never thought you'd swear in public. Smash‑style wagyu patties, fresh fixings, and just enough attitude to remind you that this? This is the golden era of eating food trucks parked next to bars, cold beer close at hand, and a butcher's apron of stories to take home with ya. So if you find yourself in Pensacola with a hankerin' for something that'll make you slap your knee and grin like a mule eatin' briars, roll your way over to the Brown Bagger.
