Patti does such a great job! Reasonably priced and very fast. I've taken dresses, pants, and suiting to her - all with wonderful results.

I will keep her in mind for future projects. Clearly she's running a great business because she's booked out for several months, so my advice is to ask for your quote at least 6 months in advance of when you need the item. Jessica is very transparent about pricing and timelines. User-friendly software clearly displays the total line-by-line, and the total aligns well with other similar quotes I received. Jessica charges fitting fees to compensate for her time so that you can cross alterations asks off your list and bring down your total if you're happy with initial or minor changes. She is budget-conscious and wants to give you the best result for the lowest price. Jessica has a philosophy that she doesn't make decisions about your alterations but rather equips you with information for you to decide what aligns with your priorities. Jessica seems conscious and supportive of all body types and levels of modesty, for example when she explained options for potential bust cup alterations. Jessica helped me understand the alterations industry more broadly, including common pitfalls and bustle types. She gave business-related tips like getting quotes in writing and understanding fitting fees/guarantees for exclusive work prior to going to a business. Her personal choice is to vet clients over the phone first to ensure a good fit prior to bringing your garment to her. Others may have you in for a fitting before quoting or exchange just over email. I learned so much from her over one phone call and loved her genuine communication style. I initially got her name from a local seamstress based on the type of garment I had. I'm not surprised Jessica has a great local reputation among peers in the Nashville area!

My mom was in town for my fitting and after arriving the dress needed more alterations done and Kathy turned it around in 1 day, so that my mom could come back with me the next day to see before she had to leave. After briefly explaining the situation, I was placed on hold and another employee came on the line. When I tried to clarify the timing constraints to determine if it was even possible before making the trip, I was interrupted mid sentence and told to just come in . Despite that interaction, I still decided to come in. I currently have mild cold symptoms, so as a healthcare worker I chose to wear a mask out of consideration for others. When I arrived, one employee asked to see the dress and began discussing it, but then abruptly stopped and asked if I was sick while covering her mouth and nose with her jacket. I answered honestly that I had a common cold. Another employee then came over, and the first employee began commenting about me being sick while speaking in another language. The second employee was polite and attempted to continue helping me, but by that point I no longer felt comfortable proceeding. I completely understand people wanting to protect themselves from illness, but the interaction felt unprofessional and unnecessarily rude, especially considering I was already taking precautions by wearing a mask. Fortunately, I was able to find another alterations business willing to work with my timeline that treated me professionally and actually appreciated that I wore a mask while sick. I would recommend others choose a business with a more respectful and professional approach to customer service.

As an everyday person, they made me feel welcomed just as much as they did for what I'd consider their upper echelon of clientele. This is a high-end alterations establishment, and when I needed to get a dress altered for my grandmother's funeral this weekend, they were willing to take on the job despite my being rejected by several other alteration establishments before, as it is wedding season and a lot of alteration places are weeks and even months into working with other people's garments for altering. I did pay dearly for it, but if something had to be fixed on the dress, they did so. I had to return after they turned it around in one day to get the initial dress completely finished, but still time to spare for this weekend. When you go to get alterations, you want to feel valued, welcomed and heard. I felt all of these things when I was here. They set a high bar for customer service. Jeff, the owner, mentioned working with the same seamstress for 38 years! That is wonderful. Jeff also does pet paintings and has various ties, libation recipe books, and other miscellaneous items for sale. I bought a libation recipe book for my husband, and he was really appreciative of it. I look forward to working with Jeff and Corey again on more alterations that need to be completed. You can't get better than here at Stitch-It Alterations.

I thought GREAT now I don't have to take the time to do it myself, even though I am able. Stopped in and a clerk greeted me with a blase (at best) attitude and I told him I just wanted to hem them to a specific inseam measurement and he became quite condescending and argumentative about that stating emphatically they would not be right and that he would not guarantee his work. I was taken aback by his rude and arrogant treatment of customers. Now, I know that hemming is little more than a time consuming task - it'll take me a couple of hours to do a superior job - but it's not difficult even if you do an invisible hem. So I left with my new slacks to hem at home since I CAN guarantee my own quality workmanship. Once I got in the car I remembered that the last time I had patronized that business was at least two decades ago when I ordered two custom mens business shirts for my husband as a Christmas present. They weren't inexpensive. But when they arrived they were very undersized and did not fit even though Stitch It staff had measured for the shirts in house. They acted then much like they acted today that they really wouldn't stand by the quality of their work. Glad I got a free reminder of what kind of business this is this time instead of having wasted money on un-wearable shirts. What a shame to be so miserable in your own skin that you have to go out of your way to make your customers feel uncomfortable and unappreciated.

I explained to Houri that I only wanted the waist tacked on each side with a couple of stitches, and the bottom simply cut/trimmed since it did not require sewing. I also told her that removing the waistband would be too costly, and she agreed. When I asked for a receipt at drop-off, she refused, which made me uneasy, but I trusted her. When I returned, I was shocked to be handed a bill for $175 because she removed the waistband anyway and charged for additional work I did not authorize. After I objected, she reduced the total slightly, but I still paid $137.73 -- which is more than the skirt originally cost. The refusal to provide a receipt and the unapproved work made it impossible to dispute the charges. I left feeling misled and taken advantage of. I will never return, and I strongly suggest others think twice before doing business here.

We're so grateful for her and all of her help. Not only did she go above and beyond in the most important things- like picking out a good florist, giving recommendations on caterers, tents, etc., but she also made sure to send us back to the hotel on our wedding night with extra entrées and cake because she knew we wouldn't have the time to eat while entertaining our guests. Recently our daughter, Allie, was joyfully engaged and the time had arrived for wedding planning. We agreed that the guidance of a Wedding Planner was definite, yet had no idea where to start. Not having sources that had used an independent wedding planner, we perused internet reviews and one name floated to the top over and over. Her reviews were stellar and her pictures exciting. Together we agreed to reached out the CHRISTINA LOGAN EVENTS and set up a meeting with Christina Logan. Aware that planning a wedding was complex - complicated by Allie's work schedule and with me living out of state - it was critical to find the right person to tackle our lives while pulling together the dream wedding. As Christina introduced herself, it was clear that we were in the presence of someone who was not only skilled at her craft but genuinely passionate about making Allie's special day perfect. Our anxiety slipped away, knowing we met our perfect wedding planner, we joyfully hired Christina Logan Events to plan Allie and Alex's wedding. Christina quickly presented a detail outline of our budget and put together a board of Allie's thoughts - dress ideas, colors and flowers - a highlight of her dream. It was spot on! Allie's text to Christina was "So excited! You're doing amazing pinpointing my vague idea!"  We were realizing the fortune of finding Christina, who was professional, dedicated, giving attention to detail that was beyond our comprehension. Before long, a delightful sense of humor emerged from Christina, making the entire planning process enjoyable and stress-free.   Christina worked effortlessly through every phase, no matter how big or small, ensuring everything was executed flawlessly. She respectfully listened to Allie's ideas, saw her vision, and worked tirelessly to bring it beautifully to life. (And thank God for that sense of humor which was fully appreciated when attention to numbers attending and table assignments were required). With everything perfectly in place prior to the wedding, on ceremony day, Christina was a stealth spirit of perfection. She set finial touches on tables, perfected the bridal cake, straightened the groomsmen, pinned my dress lining, oversaw food service and the entertainment, orchestrated the wedding party, ensured all facilities were well-maintained, and more. The evening flowed flawlessly as she guided Allie and Alex with calming ease and complete support .... Always with her lovely smile. At night's end, not missing a step, she had the getaway car packed and awaiting the new Mr. & Mrs., sparklers passed out, arms open sending Allie and Alex off with hugs. It was beautifully moving for me, Mother of the Bride. Christina was a highly treasured part of Allie's wedding journey. She also became a cherished friend, whom I miss speaking with weekly. We are forever grateful for this Angel - truly a gift from God. We highly recommend to all of you seeking someone to guide you through to your dream wedding - she is here - Christina Logan of Christina Logan Events.
