Decided to grab a dog for lunch from the new kid in town. Parked on the street and was happily greeted by a young smiling person. I asked, "How are the dogs prepared?" "Boiled then finished on the grill," she replied. Perfect. "And do you grill the bun, too?" "Absolutely!" We got a winner. I cannot stand only boiled hot dogs on a bun straight out of the wrapper. Seared. Charred. Grilled. Toasted. Do something to add character and flavor, please. This place understands. Within a few minutes my 1/6 pound beef hot dog was delivered. Charred dog, grilled bun, diced onions, tangy sauerkraut, and yellow mustard just as I asked. Mmmmm! Pro tip: both the hot dog and burger buns are brioche, and are then buttered before finishing on the grill. For me, it was too rich. Before leaving I asked if next time I could order without the bun being buttered. Absolutely. Yay! Looking for some good ol' beef dogs grilled on a toasty bun? The hot dogs are really good! Wish that they had fries or tots to go fight them. They did get burgers- but have A LOT of trouble with their grill keeping it up and running. Prices seemed fair- nowhere to eat but a table or two outside. Employees were very kind! read more

How have I not written a review for Patty and the Dogs yet?!? This is one of my most favorite places!! Not just in Monroe but in all of the Charlotte area. The burgers are amazing, the hot dogs are amazing, the homemade chili is also amazing and I'm not usually a huge fan of pickles but theirs are wonderful!! Everything on the menu is perfection. They even have soft serve now and the pineapple makes you feel like you are at Disney. They also partner with other local small business by carrying things like Gingham Girl Cake Rolls and Sweet Girl Cookies. The owners are the nicest family who truly loves and gives back to their community so it makes me happy to be able to support this excellent small business. read more

Such a cute little hot dog shop. Was once a food truck and now a permanent space right in the center of Monroe! The owners ate super sweet and believe in high quality food. The dog was all beef and excellent!! Many choices for toppings and if you're gluten free, have your dog on chips! They also have sides such as deviled potato salad, slaw and chips. The potato salad was delicious! Great prices, great location and great service! They will even text you when your order is ready- bonus if you're at a local bar! read more

The best burgers and dogs in town. The Classic is perfection, Carolina Dingo is my favorite, my son likes the Pitty, my daughter likes the Turkey burger add cheese. You can't go wrong with any of their sides. There is limited outdoor seating, but there is also seating in Morgan's Alley just down the block. read more

The fact that you can still taste the juiciness of the hotdog under the delicious toppings is what brings this place to a 5/5 for me. The service was good. The food was mediocre. It didn't have any flavor and wasn't worth the price they charge. They didn't offer a sink or hand sanitizer to clean your hands before eating, which seems like a health code violation. read more
