we purchased a puppy from patty and drove out to her home, in gurnee, il to pick our puppy up in may 2022. patty @ patty'spups in gurnee, il sold us a sick puppy! our puppy had bloody diarrhea a couple days after bringing him home and tested positive for a parasite called giardia. our puppy also has a double ear infection. our puppy is on his second round of antibiotics to try in clear up the giardia parasite. our puppy has been on antibiotics for 20 days and we've had him just over a month. patty sent us home with a large syringe filled with a white liquid substance . patty "said" it was a probiotic and to give it to our puppy twice a day to firm up the his stool. who knows what's really in it? that was the first red flag! we contacted patty right away and sent over all documentation, vet findings and bills. patty did reimburse us for one bill but has not responded to any of the other bills and vet findings that we sent. we asked patty if the puppy was seen by a vet prior to us purchasing it and she said yes. we asked for proof documentation and asked her to text or email it and patty never responded. we asked if she was the owner of the parents of the puppies and she said yes. we asked for health records on our puppy and its parents and patty did not respond! so its safe to assume our poor puppy was never seen by a vet prior to patty selling him to us! the parent dogs weren't at her home at the time of purchase. buyers beware!!! read more

I love the puppy I received from this place however I was mislead about the puppy's size by Pattys sister Katie Drake. I got a mini whoodle or so I thought and was told by Katie Drake that the minis run between 12-15 lbs no more than 20. Well I took my dog to the vet and my vet confirmed this is NOT a mini whoodle but a standard size whoodle . The whoodle is already at 35lbs now how is a six month mini already at 35lbs? I tried to reason with Katie Drake however she is very unreasonable and disrespectful honestly. I pleaded my case and requested half of the refund since I was mislead. I even offered to show her my vet documentation confirming she is NOT a mini. Katie Drake never buy from her she is so rude and while I did not buy from Patty directly I bought the dog on Pattys Pups making Patty equally as responsible for ensuring what they are advertising is factual! Katie got upset because I gave the business a 1 star and she sent me this text. How unprofessional of a business to address anyone like that!!!! I asked for half was even willing to settle on $350 but they are very unprofessional. I've filed complaints with the USDA and AKC for their false misleading advertisement. Furthermore, who talks to a customer like this. Buyers beware just go elsewhere! Just a note to let you know the Shih Poo puppy we got from you almost 4 yrs ago is the love of my life. We have enjoyed her more than any other dog I have had. She is soooooo intelligent it is almost scary. lol Not just because she is mine she is a very exceptional dog. She not only learned dog tricks but she has also learned our daily routines. She knows over a dozen toys by their name. She is also very "HAPPY" and loves people (especially children). This has inspired me to share her with other people and try to bring a smile to their day. I have trained and register her as a Therapy Dog. She goes to Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Elementary Schools for special needs children, Half Way Houses, and Court Houses for the Foster Children Program to help the kids relax while in the Courthouse. We also take them for reading classes for children having trouble reading so they can read to the dog. If I had a dollar for everyone that has said "OH HOW CUTE" what kind of dog is she". LOL If you were here in PA you could sell hundreds of her. I can never thank you enough for the joy you sent me on that airplane that day. It was so easy to purchase and receive her from you even hundreds of miles apart. My friend at work loved my dog so much she bought one herself and loves it. We decided to take the plunge and buy a puppy for our 11 year old granddaughter who lives with us. I found Patty's Pups on the internet and she had some great reviews, so I sent her an email telling her the type of dog I was looking for. She found a puppy that was everything I was looking for and more. She's incredibly adorable and smart. She was paper trained when I brought her home. Patty is very knowledgeable and knows the history of each of her puppies. You can tell that Patty loves what she does for a living because she takes special care of each and every puppy and knows their temperament so she can answer all your questions. Patty was very professional when I inquired about a puppy. I had recently returned a puppy to a breeder because it was not the right fit for our family and I was a bit reluctant to find another pup. I did a lot of research and learned that Cavapoo's were highly intelligent and a little easier to housetrain. Since it was around Christmas I thought what a great time to find a puppy. I contacted Patty and just by chance she had the perfect pup for me. She answered every question and gave me the parental history including photos. I picked up my little guy 2 weeks before Christmas and he's been one of the greatest gifts that I have ever received for a present to myself. I picked up our forever dog named, "Oreo" a little over a year ago. I called Patty late on a Friday afternoon. Patty was very polite and friendly over the phone . Patty was so great to deal with. You couldn't have asked for a better place to find a puppy. Patty was so nice ,cheerful, respectful , patient and extremely knowledgable of all the dogs she was selling. She sat with me and explained everything to me about each and every puppy that I was looking at. I spent over 2 hours at her house looking and playing with her puppies she never was rude or annoyed with me. I must say, Mrs. Patty is very great with her pups!!! From my impression, when i first drove up to her home, I was feeling good about coming!!!! She was very "PLEASANT" and "FRIENDLY"... We bought a F1b Mini golden doodle from Patty almost 2 months ago. She is everything that we could've asked for. Healthy, bright, ambitious and was extremely easy to housetrain thanks to Patty already introducing the puppies to paper training. Patty allowed us to come 4 times and never once pressured or tried to sell us the dog. My husband and I were looking for a small puppy after the death of our 15 year old black female toy poodle. We found Patty's Pups on October 15, 2011 and I immediately fell in love with a darling little female Yorkie-Poo. The puppy was much less expensive than the puppies in the pet stores and she was much cleaner. Patty gave her a bath and trimmed her nails for us before we took her home. We bought a Bichon/ShihTzu mix from Patty in July. She gave us time to visit with the puppies to decide which one we really wanted. When we brought Pepe home, he had a cold which took a couple of weeks. Once he recovered he was a lovable puppy. He has since grown so much, loves to eat. He is also loved and spoiled. Purchased a Teddy Bear pup (part ShihTzu & Bichon) from Patty on Sunday, Aug 7, 2016. Very clean environment and was evident that all the puppies she had were given alot of TLC. During that week I took my puppy, who has been named "Baxter", to the vet for a checkup and was told that I have a very healthy, happy pup.
