My dog Max and I just love Pampered Pup'z. Max can't wait to get out of the car and into the building. The staff is professional and cares about each dog as if they were their own. They have grooming services and overnight stays and offer training classes as well. They also send home little hearts and clever projects from our dogs. They celebrate birthdays and gotcha days with the dogs. I never have to worry about Max while he is at Pampered Pup'z. If anything is not normal during the day they either message me or let me know at pickup-especially if he seems like he isn't feeling well. I always say Pampered Pup'z is his second home he is so comfortable there and loves all of the staff. read more

Boarded our dogs there for the third time recently. First two seemed fine but this one was different. My youngest pup came back with her ribs sticking out. They said one of our dogs wasn't eating right away in the morning and then actually told me they throw away the food after a while. She said she thought it was our older dog when I asked which, but I could see immediate it was our younger girl when I saw her. Skin and bones! In fairness I don't understand policy sometimes but really... you threw away her food instead of just putting her in her kennel with it until she finished. Or save it back in the baggie I provided and give it back to me to decide. To out this in perspective, imagine if you didn't eat fast enough in a restaurant and the waiter came and took your plate and threw it away. I would have at least appreciated getting it back to serve to her at home!! It's expensive food!! Also we provided extra and didn't get it all back when we left. Probably my biggest issue is that I asked if they would send us pics but received nothing all week. Even one pic of my babies would have made me feel better. So I watched their Snapchat story and at least got a glimpse of one of our dogs in the far background. Also they both came back with scuffed up noses and lips. No idea how that happened. Didn't occur last time they were here about a year ago. One positive is that they washed one of the beds that 'got wet'. That was much appreciated but curious how it got wet. Neither of these dogs ever urinate in their kennel. Anyway I'll be searching Yelp for somewhere a bit more considerate to the pups and their people. And hopefully somewhere with more disclosure and cameras so we can check in on them when we want to. read more

We have two dogs, big, and bigger. Both need to be groomed as they have A LOT OF HAIR. We had been following a groomer from one place to another for years, and well, she became geographically undesirable. We looked and found Pampered Pup'z, and what a find indeed. Nick and his team have always been so pleasant, and they all check in to make sure we were satisficed with what they have done. I think that this is a wonderful place to have your dog cared for and looked after with gentle touch and kind hearts. I also think they are priced just right. We have been to more, and less expensive places and we have made this our go to place for grooming. Keep up the good work. read more

I've been bringing my pup here for a couple months now and she LOVES it! She has so many friends and lots of things to play with. The staff is amazing! They are so kind and you can tell they are great with the dogs. They even saw the moment my crazy pup decided to catch a bee in her mouth ‍ the fact that they saw it happen let's me know they have a great eye on them. Took my dog to be groomed about a week ago. Overall it was good & i would go back! Pros: They did a great job on his haircut, I was able to get an appointment quickly, he smelled nice , they were priced well ($60 for my large golden doodle), they included a nail trim, the facility is nice Cons: It took a long time (almost 4 hours), They put him in a big cage before being groomed. My favorite place in Chicago has a play room for the dogs to play before being groomed. read more

We have been going to Pampered Pup'z for a few years now. We have a very timid labradoodle that I must have cut to all one length - no poofy tail or ears. Once they did not keep same length all over - they took her right back in and corrected the cut. I think they are very loving and caring. Sometimes hard to get an appointment - testament to how good they are! I recommend!! My dog is VERY timid and does not like to be separated from me. She does just fine :-) read more

I was very disappointed with the office staff. I had my vet send over records on a Thursday for a boarding the next Wednesday. I called Monday to make sure they had received and wanted to double check to make sure I had met their boarding requirements. They informed me that one shot was as out of date. Had I not called, I would have either had to miss my flight or pay a fee for pampered pups to get the missing shot. Always double check. Very disappointed and will not return. read more

OK so this place is amazing!! They always make my handsome boy look and smell so good! They are always sweet to my shy boy and I'm always happy with the results. When my husband and I first moved to Illinois we needed to find a new groomer. We tried one close to our home, Central Bark/Gurnee but they were snobby and not very good. So I went on to find this place and I'm so glad I did! Only thing is they hardly ever answer the phone,but if you leave a message they will return your call. I have been taking my dog Jack here for doggy day care for a few months now and absolutely love it. The staff is friendly and very professional. The mornings we take Jack to daycare he is so excited to get in there and see all of his friends. With the punch card for daycare I received a free bath and was thrilled when I picked up Jack last week and he was nice and clean. I take my dog to doggy day care at Pampered Pupz often (as well as board him when we're going out of town). He has so much fun here and it has been a great way for him to burn off his energy. In the summer, they have a pool for the dogs to swim in, as well as various structures for them to play in. They have reasonable prices and treat my dog very well! read more

I love this place! They are super friendly and kind to my little dog. He is a really timid and scared dog when it comes to these things and they always approach him gently and warmly. We go here every time our dog Otis needs to be groomed. He is a 9 pound poodle, so this is about every 3 months. We drop him off and they call us when he is ready. They have done a wonderful job nearly every time we have brought him and he does not seem traumatized. We prefer to keep his cut more puppy-like and less poodle-like and once they really cut him crazy short. It is a little pricey, between 50-60 dollars for a wash, cut and nail trim, but I think it is worth it to have people we trust take care of our beloved pet. They always put a cute bandana on the dogs. It seems like a very nice dog daycare location as well. We have never used that option, but if needed, I would definitely start there. Call ahead of time to make an appointment and first timers get a discount. read more

I boarded my baby here over Christmas. The staff was wonderful. Truly caring and patient with all my questions. I love that they are cage-less. My dog was rescued and I feel very strongly against putting my dog in a cage. I had her groomed here as well. She looked so cute when I picked her up. Best grooming job ever. I live in Lincoln Park and have had awful experiences with groomers in the Chicago area. I think its worth the drive up to Libertyville. She even had a cute Christmas bow on! A few days later I received a hand written thank you card from the staff with pictures of Jackie O (my dog) and her friends she made during her stay. It was a great personal touch.
