I am not surprised that this salon was featured on MTV's Sweet 16 show! This place is Charlotte's best kept secret! I noticed that my hair was breaking a lot and I started to try other salons to find better coloring care. It was a big adjustment for me to leave a long established relationship with a stylist, but I had to recognize that the service was not up to par anymore. That led me through an uncomfortable period of salon hopping all over this city and by the time I got to Paul Beaune NY Salon, my hair was completely destroyed. I had to wear a baseball cap to my first appointment! I was in a state of panic and slightly depressed that I was even in this situation. The hair was so damaged from re-coloring, that a Brazilian treatment was recommended to smooth out the hair shafts. As my hurt hair grew out, we started trying to figure out my color strategy going forward. I had been highlighting my hair for over twenty years and am starting to grey a little. I needed an approach that I would love and my fine hair could tolerate. The salon owner, Ann Marie, was very sensitive to my worries and really approached my situation with a long term perspective in mind, which now I am very thankful for. I moved here from up north and have always been the impatient fix it now type! While getting my color strategy on track, we also experimented with a fun, fashionable hair cut that is easy for me to style on my own. After so many years of just having bangs and long hair, I now have a stylish look that my family, friends, business associates and even strangers have taken notice of. I cannot tell you how happy I am to have stumbled on this great neighborhood salon. It feels like family when you are there. You don't feel like you are on an assembly line or one of three heads being worked on in a stuffy, over-scheduled, crowded, hurried atmosphere. Even though this is a high-quality salon, you don't feel like you have to dress up just to get your hair done. It has a boutique feel and features nice little gifts for everyone in your family in the waiting area. In addition to the talented and caring service I continue to receive, I love the little touches this salon offers....like the lounge chairs with ottomans to lift your feet up while you are processing (what a great idea!!) and the fruit-infused iced water or wine offerings by staff. Paul Beaune NY Salon has met all my expectations plus so much more. I go to Jordan for my color and she works wonders. I drive over an hour to come to this wonderful salon where the service is great, the people are great, and I leave looking great. In the past, I had been to so many stylist that didn't take the time to communicate with me and left my hair looking a mess! I was constantly being let down by these so called "stylist" who I put my trust in. Here at the Paul Beaune Salon I can ensure you that will NEVER happen!! If you are dissatisfied in anyway with their services, that will fix it for free of charge! The receptionist is one of the sweetest people ever! She constantly makes sure your needs are met. I really love going to this salon! Everyone is really professional and they listen to what you really want. When you check in (which is quicker than most salons I've been too), they offer you something to drink, make you comfortable and if you have to wait for your stylists it isn't very long. If they are running behind they will call you and let you know, which is really helpful! The first time I went to the salon they did a color and cut consultation. Every time I go there my stylists asks me what I want done with my hair, they just don't assume you want the same thing or the same color. I have been so happy with my haircuts and color since I have been going to Paul Beaune. I'm so glad I found this salon! The waiting area also features some gifts if you need something for someone special or yourself! I think that is a really good idea. They also have really nice products for your hair. I have been a client of Paul Beaune for well over two years and I consider myself so lucky to finally find a hairdresser and salon that I love.I have not been blessed with great hair and it has been difficult finding someone that can work with fine,curly hair.I also get it colored so combining all three it is a blessing for me to have such a wonderful stylist. My stylist cuts and colors my hair.So many salons have separate colorist and when you make an appointment it was always a problem getting them done at same time.It involved waiting for one or the other.Not a this salon and they are superb colorist.Why would anyone not go to this great salon.They make me feel special and the service they provide can not be matched.They are the best in Charlotte. read more

After an unhappy color job with another salon and felt I couldn't wait until time for next color job to get it corrected, I walked in one day and got an appointment with Anne Marie for the next day to put highlights in my hair. The receptionist went out of her way to find a time for me. The salon overall is great, nice greeting & offer of something to drink, timely, and after taking one look at my hair knew it was the wrong color and there was damage done to my hair. She didn't make me feel foolish, just wanted to help me. It is a great salon for all ages, they do not make up feel like up have to be young and skinny to feel special. I visited Ann Marie (the owner) for my "summer cut" a few weeks ago. Although I live in South End, I made the drive on the recommendation of a friend. I have been searching for a new salon and it was worth the trip! I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend. I never felt rushed as I sometimes do at salons, even with an owner who is clearly running a very successful business. I was also excited to find that they carry the FULL LINE of Bumble and bumble products. I have very short hair and have had many, many bad haircuts since moving to Charlotte. I found some reviews for paul beaune on the internet (not on this site) and decided to call and make an appointment a week after my last haircut when I was looking like dorothy hamill and couldn't take it any more.....that is when I met Ann Marie. Ann Marie gave me one of the best short haircuts I have ever had...I took in a picture and she literally did exactly what I asked her to do...which never, ever happens!!! Really really great service! Staff is very friendly and helpful! They really make you feel like a valued customer. Love my new haircut - Jenny did exactly what I wanted. I felt that the price was really good and the lowest of any other place I've been to in South Charlotte. I originally chose paul beaune because I saw they carried bumble bumble products (which I love). I have been going to paul beaune for about 3 years and this is the one salon that actually listens to what I want. I have been disappointed by so many salons with "stylists" that only know how to cut hair ONE style and don't listen to what the client wants. I went after I had done a horrible color job at home. The receptionist was very nice, offering us drinks before we sat. The owner sat down with me and discussed what the different options were in fixing my hair. She did an amazing job! My hair looks natural and healthy. Walked in to see if someone could fix prior damage, and they booked me an appointment for that week with Jenny who does the keratin straightening. She did a great job, and for less than other salons charge. I have also been to her since then for other services and have been very pleased.
