Wow! Wow! Wow!!!! A few weeks ago I had a full highlight done ahead of my upcoming wedding. I knew I was taking a chance in going to someone new but it's been hard finding a regular stylist to trust. We had several conversations and I sent pics of the honey, caramel, warm blondes that I love... however, my color came out terrible. I was super brassy with patches of orangey blonde. If you're looking for a new hair stylist or salon, go to Via. This is the second time I've been and have seen Olivia, GO SEE Olivia!! Or anyone at Via Salon, everyone is extremely welcoming and nice. The salon is clean, cozy, lively, and always has good music playing. They offered me coffee and bagels when I walked in. Every staff member spoke to me. I've never done anything to my hair and didn't really know what I wanted. Olivia made me feel so comfortable, asked a lot of questions and really listened. She also remembered things about me and my life from our previous appointment 3 months ago - only being the first time we met. I've never loved my hair more in 26 years! I decided to try Via Salon not knowing anything about it other than + reviews online. I took a chance on whomever could take me as I needed to enhance my color and cover my roots for an event I had the next day. They booked me with Olivia and I now found my girl and my new salon. I've tried so many salons and stylists over the past 2 years I've been in CLT and was never really super satisfied. Olivia and the staff worked together to gauge my needs and brought my vision to fruition. Olivia is professional, confident and took tremendous pride in her work and made sure it was to my satisfaction before I left. Was given a Saturday appt at 2:30. I received text and call the morning of my appt requesting I contact the stylist to come in early. I returned the call and stated I could hopefully be there by 12:30 which is one of the times the stylist wanted. Even when I called she asked could I be there earlier. I couldn't! Arrived on time and the stylist and I discussed what needed to be accomplished with my hair. I'm not sure why 2 of the other stylists kept coming over and looking at my hair and softly speaking with her, but one stylist said to her " you called me over here, what do you want"? All of the above sure didn't have me at ease. My stylist kept saying she wanted to put highlights all over the top. I didn't agree, just in the front was fine. She said it would help with the brassy tint. My stylist said she'd be back in 30 minutes. She came back and she'd check my hair to say "you have stubborn hair". We'll leave root color another few minutes. During all this the 2 other stylist kept coming over looking. This behavior certainly made me feel like something was weird. stylist trimmed my hair and began to blow it out. The light IS VERY BAD and very difficult to see THE TRUTH OF THE COLOR. I told my stylist "I can see this isn't deposited enough color for the roots. She kept talking up her highlights and said " we have time to adjust the color".ccet me get your hair dry. OBVIOUSLY SHE DIDNT WANT TO CORRECT THE COLOR AT ALL AT THAT TIME. SHE HAD TOLD ME SHE HAD A DAUGHTER AT HOME AND NOW YOU KNOW WHY I WANTED GET YOU IN EARLIER SO I COULD GO BE WITH MY DAUGHTER "SHE KEPT TRYING TO GET MY MIND OFF THE ROOTS AND LOOK AT THE CUT AND HIGHLIGHTS! The roots should have been re-done Saturday. When i called her on Monday she asked whats going on and I TOLD her. She said Oh, well UNFORTUNATELY Im all booked up for about a month or more so!! Maybe I could ask another stylist to do this!!! #1, another stylist isn't going to take responsibility for her mistake, #2 I would have to pay twice...for her mistake. I told my stylist I would call the shop myself and I did. I asked to speak to the manager, this would be the owner. A stylist answering the phone said she'd give the owner a message and ask her to call me. We'll, it's now 3:00 and NO phone call yet. I guess the owner doesn't really care or believe everyone should be responsible and accountable either. ​ Im ABSOLUTLEY BEWILDERED with the person that worked on my hair NOT being ACCOUNTABLE and REALLY NOT CARING SHE'S THAT WAY. THE STYLIST HERSELF SAID THE ROOTS WERE TOO TRANSLUCENT. AFTER THIS I DONT SEE HOW I COULD HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP OR A RELATIONSHIP WITH THIS STYLIST AT ALL, OR THE SALON. It's been 9 years since I've had a haircut so we decided it was time for a change. I was very anxious about getting anything done to it as you can imagine after that long. Kristi was amazing! She did a video conference and made an appointment. I had no idea what I wanted going in, but she took the time to look at photos & listen to me before getting started.
