We paid them $7,000 -- a wildly overpriced amount -- but because they did a good job for us in 2022, we trusted them again. That trust was a huge mistake. It is now three months later and my yard is still in complete despair. The owner, Joe, specifically agreed to also remove the stump, and yet it still sits rotting in my backyard. Because of this, weeds have overtaken the space and my family hasn't been able to enjoy our backyard the entire summer. I have called, texted, and left voicemails multiple times. Joe occasionally responds just enough to string me along, then disappears to chase new projects and new customers' money, while completely ignoring the work I already paid him for. His behavior is unprofessional, dishonest, and absolutely disgraceful. At this point, I've contacted officials, and my attorney will be handling this matter moving forward. Save yourself the money, time, and stress -- this company will scam you, waste your summer, and leave your yard in worse condition than before.

We agreed on a price/date. On the date/time the work was supposed to be done, the guy doesn't show up and states he's doing another job right now. That's fine, I get it. Shit happens. Should have given me an update at the very least, no? Especially since I told them I had another company that was willing to do it but I chose Barricella once they were able to meet the price. The least they could do was show some courtesy here and give me a heads up so I could plan accordingly. I live in NJ and drove to NY and canceled some plans expecting work to be done but they weren't even going to show up. Because it's in NYC and I needed the super of an apartment behind my home to allow for easy access for the removal of the tree, the super (who wasn't a live-in super) had to travel to the building only for me to tell them, face-to-face, Barricella wasn't going to show up. Nice. No apology, no nothing. Just a "We can't show up." Totally disregarding other people's time. I ended up just calling the other company and within a few days, they completed the job. No hassle, no back-and-forth nonsense. My brother has a home in Long Island and we've already set up an appointment to remove a handful of trees. Do better, seriously. Edit: To prove how even more unprofessional this business is, they sent me a message claiming I was posting a fake review. I responded by uploading a photo of our conversation. The owner is now claiming that the photo is also fake.
