I am not sure if IZ medical is listed as an urgent care facility, but if I am ever sick and need a doctor on a dime, I will absolutely give this office a call. Let me tell you about how I ended up at IZ Medical. On Monday, I went to a different facility (one that I had been going to for a few years), complaining of signs of an ear infection. I was told there was nothing wrong with me, and was sent home with a COVID PCR test. Well, I woke up in the middle of the night with a 102 fever...of course, these days, a sudden fever makes you think it's COVID. I spent all of Tuesday morning looking for area doctors and offices that would give a rapid COVID test AND would take my insurance...many places in the Hudson County area (where I am from) were either booked for a week out (what's the point of a rapid COVID test then?) or they were charging anywhere from $100 to $150 dollars. A friend of mine suggested IZ Medical, as their family members had signs of COVID and they also took the rapid test here. When I called up and explained my situation, the lovely woman on the phone said, "How fast can you get here?" They had booked me within an hour, and I was able to get a rapid COVID test. But that's not all. When the test came back negative, and I explained to Dr. Baker that I was experiencing sudden fever symptoms, he immediately tested me for the flu and examined me, asking me questions and listening to my story about my onset of symptoms. I liked that Dr. Baker didn't stop at "the test is negative." Dr. Baker also had a PA-in-training with him, and he was explaining the what-where-why regarding my symptoms and issues. Dr. Baker discovered that I had a ball of wax in my ear that had sealed my ear canal shut, plus my whole sinus area was irritated / inflamed. He gave me some medicine to treat it, and told me to return if the ball of wax did not fall out with treatment. All in all, I can't thank Dr. Baker enough for seeing me on such short notice. In addition, the rest of the staff here is extremely attentive and the office is absolutely gorgeous. I will keep this place in mind, if I ever need to see a doctor for things like colds or illnesses.

I wish I knew how terrible my experience would be and saved the heartache. First and foremost the office is dirty, from the reception area to each of the rooms. When the nurse weighed our child, she stripped him entirely which is not normal (they usually leave the diaper on) and the nurse did not put down a sterile napkin or anything! Disgusting. The actual awful part- This was our 3 day post hospital discharge check up, so my newborn was 5 days old. The doctor comes in and looks at my baby and rather and answering our questions asks me for the bottle to feed him... she spent the entire visit feeding my baby and telling me that he has nipple confusion and I should NOT even try breastfeeding because it's not worth it. What type of doctor tells a first time mom not to try breastfeeding? It was the most discouraging thing I heard. Moreover, I had a list of questions to ask as a first time mom and the doctor just left and never came back. She just left and went to see another patient in the next room.... the lack of bedside manner is appalling. This could have been just this doctor, but the office is dingy and unclean and the staff have poor customer service- just don't go!

They have even worked with me when I was having issues with my insurance. It's comforting to know the staff here actually cares about my wellbeing. They always make me feel better! Plus they're pretty quick about fitting in walk ins. I know if I wake up sick I will be helped shortly after arriving. Grateful they're right down the block from my house!

The biggest problem with this place, is trying to reach the office by phone. A few weeks ago I tried to reach the office and my call was always answered by a call center. They took my information and promised me that I would get a call back from the office. This never happened and I left several messages with the call center. This has happened several times in the past also. The funny thing is when you go to office it is filled with girls in the reception area, just talking to each other. I am fed up and will try to find a new doctor within the Optum network.

I find it very unfair to patients to have someone who does not speak fluent English call me to review my blookwork.  She clearly did not understand what I was asking her.  I went to the doctor with concerns about my health.   I then called the office back and requested a copy of my blood work.  Everything is not fine as stated by the rep. I highly recommend that you not have nurses who are incapable of speaking the language fluently call patients and make their own medical assessment.  Based on her assessment I would need no further follow up.  My bloodwork speaks for itself.  Ignoring it would only harm my health even further. Extremely unprofessional and unpleasant.

I called the number again and was put on hold several minutes before being disconnected again. Amber and Faf both talked like they were following a script and not responding as a human. They were not trying to resolve my need for a CPAP. Current one is cutting out in middle of night repeatedly. Getting worse as time goes by. Been in progress to get a new CPAP since 7-13-21 to now, 10-19-21. I do not recommend Sleep EZ or Woodridge medical for CPAP needs. Recorded messages and human contact repeatedly referred to recall of Phillips Resprionics equipment. I gave requested equipment as: brand, "ResMed AirSense 10 model and head gear, ResMed AirFit F30i" No connection with Phillips Resprionics. Apparently this recall is overwhelming the medical air supply industry.

I have always felt when in the office I have his attention at all times when in for a visit. The doctor has never has been taken away by phone calls. I do understand the office has much new help in the front but that is what goes on everywhere in this day and age of cost and shortage of help. I have never felt like my health has been in question. The new facility is very nice but parking is NG.
