Having gone through an oral procedure with a well renown oral surgeon over 8 years ago, the time for me to need yet another oral surgery procedure presented itself again in my life. Of course, my immediate "go to" would be who I went through my first procedure with. The Orthodontic specialist I TC for referred me to Oral Sugeon, Dr. Paul Kelly.  Not having a relationship with Dr. Kelly, I was very stressed. Dr. P. Kelly and myself work very busy work schedules in our profession and without any hesitation on Dr. Paul Kelly's part, he accommodated my need to be seen very promptly. Immediately, I was welcomed by Iliana, Claudia, Aimme (Dr. Kelly's TC), Amanda and Team members present.  I felt an immediate welcome and comfort. Dr. Kelly has a very "therapeutic" office vibe!! During my consultation, Dr. Kelly addressed my need and had my treatment plan assessed.  Dr. Paul Kelly and Aimee had me scheduled for my procedure in no time! My experience from beginning to end, ALL the way around was EXCEPTIONAL. I totally understand that every individual has different discomfort and pain tolerances, but, the day after my procedure, I had NO SWELLING, NO BLEEDING, NO PAIN and NO NUMBNESS!! I feel great! I did not even have to take ANY pain relievers ( like Advil, Tylenol or prescription pain pills). My post-operative procedure was smooth, pleasant and seamless. I've worked 27 years in the medical profession and have never experienced this before. Was referred by my dentist to have a lesion removed on my lip. It was agreed-upon by Paul KellyThat it was most likely benign so I opted for an excision vs A biopsy. That was the consult visit that lasted approximately 3 minutes and was billed $100 for that consult which they did not tell me about until they submitted it to my dental insurance. The procedure went without any complications as it was very superficial. The issues started on the coding, billing side of Paul Kelly's office Where they coded it as a biopsy. There is a big difference between the two but there Coder/biller would not change the code and said it is the same as an excision code. I even at one point was lucky enough to have my referring dentists office manager call Paul Kelly's coder as well. She tried to get them to code it properly which she would not and also reimburse the $100 consult fee which again she refused. After multiple visits which like everyone else is not easy to find the time I caved in and ended up paying. My thoughts are how many times have they fraudulently billed someone that is not as knowledgeable of the 2 different types of procedures. Yes - I have limited experience with CPT and ICD coding enough to know the difference. Needless to say I will never refer /recommend anyone that is in need of his services professionally Update................. After posting and my frustrations Dr. Kelly reached out to me. Of course with both of us having busy work schedules he called me at approximately 6:30p. As stated prior I work in the medical field for approximately 27+ years and just that (multiple), attempts to rectify- find out - what the issue was spoke volumes. He explained the differences to me and cleared up any misconceptions. Also.. my wife pointed out that out of 4 members in OUR family Dr. Kelly has used his services on 3 of the four. read more

This is for those who have been reluctant to see an oral surgeon. If you have been putting off a visit because of "fear, "discomfort", "anxiety" or any any other excuse then your doing yourself a disservice to you and your health. I understand the reluctance to see Dr. Kelly as a child I went through a traumatic experience with a dentist in a foreign country. My parents where in the room and I remember at one point in the surgery I could hear my Father rush out of the room and I heard him throwing up. Ya it was bad and I was awake but blind folded. So as I grew older and had dental issues I would just live through the pain until finally I broke down and saw Dr. Kelly, very professional and supportive. So my teeth were pretty bad and infected and on and on. Yes it wasn't fun but after a few weeks not only did I wake up or go to sleep without pain, physically I got better. My blood pressure used to be high and I was taking meds and now its pretty normal. All my blood test results that I had done at my personnel Dr. improved. Where before some were borderline high for years. I feel much better and can almost bet that getting my dental surgery by Dr. Kelly has removed much of the physical issues that I had. I do believe that gum or dental issues affect the body, no doubt in my mind. And at my age that is a very important factor in the quality of my life. My experience with Dr Paul Kelly was nothing but the best and professional around the whole scope. I'm 31 weeks pregnant and needed one of my wisdom teeth pulled, which was long over due. However, an abscess growing and infection starting into my jaw, the pain was just unbearable. Being pregnant you try to avoid everything but your normal OB visits. When I walked in Paul Kelly office I felt the professionalism and comfort already. The ladies or dental assistants were so sweet and sympathetic and made me feel as though I had nothing to be worried about they did their job quick and efficiently and Mr Paul Kelly, well, sweet, sympathetic, Quick and thorough. After giving me my numbing agent I waited in the procedure room for about 15 minutes but with the music in the background and the low sounds of his team working, I was able to relax and not have the worry some feeling of being at the dentist to get an already painful tooth pulled. When he came in to do the procedure it was less then a minute and my tooth was extracted. I will for sure be going back for some cosmetic work after my daughter is born. And I sincerely recommend this man and the team he has working with him !!!! read more

My experience started at Dr.Kelly's office when a dentist who was extracting my wisdom teeth couldn't seem to get the lower right one out, so he referred me to go to Paul Kelly. I felt very secure as I entered the office to two very friendly faces eager to help me get to the operating room in a very timely manner, I was then asked to have a seat and wait for my turn to be called back. The pleasant atmosphere made the wait very short. I was soon guided to the operating room where a comfortable chair was waiting for me, I always had an assistant (in my case Brittlyn) to make sure I was okay and went out of her way to make my experience more enjoyable, even asking if I needed a blanket (which I happily accepted due to the office being a cool and relaxed environment) Soon Dr.Kelly walked in and after a firm handshake he extracted my tooth in what seemed to be only a few minutes! The procedure was very quick and painless, even a bit enjoyable for me cause he is a pretty funny guy and is always making sure while your mouth is open for an operation, it's a smile. read more

There are not enough adjectives to describe my gratitude to Dr. Kelly and his absolutely stellar staff. I was a particularly difficult case, needing a challenging lip surgery. Dr. Kelly is an absolute MASTER who can make something incredible out of nothing. I was shocked at the results, and beyond appreciative that Dr. Kelly did an impossible and incredible job with my surgery. I have one more surgery coming up. Might be painful at first, but WHOLLY worth it. I've never seen a Maxillofacial surgeon with this much precision and skill. The office is very clean, they practice immaculate sanitary guidelines. Everything is explained by an incredible and detail-oriented staff. EVERYONE is kind, compassionate, and above all, they have NO JUDGEMENT no matter the condition of mouth etc. I think that was the most comforting aspect of all. Dr. Kelly and his staff are amazing! My experience from start to finish was fantastic. The office is so clean, organized and decorated well, its a very welcoming environment. Your greeted with such happy and positive receptionists. The wait time is minimal and they even have a little work station that my husband was able to utilize while I was getting my procedure done. The way I was treated by Dr. Kelly and his hygienist was what I really like the most. Things happen in life and I was so embarrassed to initially go in but they never made me feel ashamed or less of a person because of my dental issues. It made me feel comfortable and relaxed. He took the time to go over several options and never pressured me which direction to lean towards. They even followed up with me after the procedure to see how I was feeling or had any questions. Our daughter had her wisdom teeth removed and from the initial consultation appointment all the way through to the day of the procedure we knew this office was the best choice. We knew exactly how much our portion of the bill would be prior to the procedure thanks to his efficient office staff. My dentist was out of State when I had a dental accident. His office reached out to him on his hunting trip and Dr. Oswald immediately contacted Dr. Kelly to apprise him of the situation. Being new to the Phoenix area and needing to find an oral surgeon, we asked around and found multiple people recommending Dr. Kelly. We could not have been more pleased with him and his staff. Dr. Kelly truly worked around our crazy schedule and even helped us make some last minute changes. After surgery, he personally took the time to visit with me and go over my daughters results and what to expect next. My 86 y.o. mother is nervous going to dentists however, once we arrived at their lobby and met the wonderful, friendly, professional, and compassionate staff, she seemed more and more relaxed! Four years ago, Dr. Kelly did 2 of my surgeries in one year; my wisdom teeth and my lefort osteotomy. I was so nervous to have such an extensive surgery performed on my face, knowing that I was not going to be able to eat for months, knowing that I was going to be swollen, and possibly looking different. Dr. Kelly relieved me from that stress and made me feel like I was his only patient! He is genuine and is amazing at what he does. My recovery was phenomenal and so was the outcome!
